He eyes Tarvyn very suspiciously, and thinks to himself "Anyone who claims to control nature like this is either very dangerous or very crazy." He looks at Tarvyn to try to figure out which, and then follows along with the others.

Adventure's I've published on DMs Guild: The Temple of Bhaal - A gothic horror themed "one-shot" single session adventure for 1st level characters. The Palace of Evendur - An ethereal fairy tale "one-shot" single session adventure for 1st level characters.
You follow the strange man down a winding mud path. The creature never leaves his side. All along the way, you can hear him speaking to it, but you can't exactly make out his words. They sound nice though, the way a parent would talk to a child. Eventually, the path leads to a clearing and in the middle of this island, you can see a beautiful estate. It reflects just enough moonlight to reveal it's form, but as you get closer you can begin to make out more details.
Once you get inside you find it to be just as lavish on the inside as it is on the outside. There is a large foyer with a fire roaring in a hearth in the den. Tarvyn motions for you to make yourself comfortable by the fire. He disappears through a doorway, and moments later reappears in a full suit, with a much more presentable demeanor. "Charmain will bring us a nice meal shortly, but while we wait, I'm sure you want an explanation..." he walks toward a large map of the island that hangs near the hearth. "We are here, this is my house..." He motions to a tiny dot on the huge map, "And this...." He takes his finger and circles the whole island, "is my island. You might be wondering how I ended up here, well..." He points toward two large portraits hanging on the wall, "Those are my parents, they were very rich. On the very unfortunate day that they passed away, I was given their fortune in its entirety, but rather than plunge myself into their horrible aristocracy, I decided to spend every penny of it on what I really wanted..." He pulls a second map over the top of the first, you can see that it's the island but with many new dots and drawings on it. "This is Tarvyn's World of Magnificent Wonders and Oddities... I use science and magic to create creatures and have filled the island with them. I want this to be a place where people can come from all over Kosmedes and enjoy themselves, and learn more about the arcane. I am almost finished actually." His eyes instantly light up, "HEY, YOU GUYS COULD BE MY TEST GROUP! It will be a fun-filled day of trying my island. You will be the very first to do so, and I will give you commemorative prizes for being the first group to see the park!" He jumps with joy and waits for your response.
"So if meself is hear'n ya right. You're wanting us to go out there and test out your new park filled with your homebrewed monsters and enjoy ourselves?"
Brom is silent for a second...
"Made up monsters in a kid park. This offer reminds me of a tale of old, and if meself's not mistaken that didn't end well for them fellas either."
Brom leans forward and suddenly slams his fist on the table
"Bah! I'll do it!" "So when do meself and the boys here go out and start hunt'n your beasts?"
"Can we be eat'n what we kill? Kill'n works up an appetite. Anymore of them turkey lizards out there? That leg humper n' me got some unfinished business"
"Oh and you said sumthin about there bein' prizes? What prizes you talk'n?"

Jarmon sits quietly daydreaming until Brom slams his fists into the table. As the meaty hands of the dwarf hit the table top Jarmon hops slightly in his chair. "I´m with the dwarf on this one. You had me at exploring a park filled with man-made beasts. BUT A REWARD!? Sign me up! Haven´t gotten paid for the last job i did yet and money is getting sparse.", Jarmon pulls out Patty and a couple of small tools from his backpack and starts tinkering on the crossbow prototype.
He goes quite while the others debate. Every now and then he looks up at the strange man who just asked them to go hiking on an even stranger island.
Shaede listens intently. A wealthy guy on this island all alone? It’s intriguing and could be profitable.
Lounging in the chairs enjoying his drink, he speaks. “Aside from the obvious monetary reward that my friends have inquired, I have one question - what sort of security do you have on this island that prevents these things from eating the guests?”
Tarvyn looks at Shaede for a moment before he breaks his silence. "I have spent my life training them, they are perfectly tame... the incident on the beach was unfortunate, my assumption is that the scent of the bodies drove my raptors into a frenzy." He turns on his heels to see Charmain bringing in trays of food. "Ah! it looks as if your dinner is ready. Feel free to eat anywhere you like, Charmain will clean up after you." He looks at Jarmon, "Don't worry, I pay her handsomely for this service. After dinner I will show you to your rooms..."
You eat a delicious meal. There is roast Game Hen, exotic vegetables and fruits, and even after your dinner Charmain brings out a small chocolate cake for each of you. Charmain is extremely pleasent, making small talk with you as she works. She is an older human, with sparkly, kind eyes.
After about 45 minutes Tarvyn returns and shows you each to a large guest room. They are all furnished with a large bed, bookcase, writing desk, wooden trunk, and dresser. He also gives you a breif tour of his mansion, it is incredible. There are nearly 30 rooms, and each is furnished perfectly with Victorian Era decor. After the tour he leads you back to the hallway where your rooms are and says; "Before I bid you all a goodnight, is there any other questions you have for me? After all you are my first guests, I want to make sure you have the best possible time..."
"Nope I have no questions. Please extend me gratitude to the lass Charmain. Tell her I haven't had a finer meal in a long time. Also want to thank ya fer puttin us up in your home."
Brom lifts his pack onto his shoulder and then adds
"And keep that leg humper out me room or I will split his head with me sword and roast him in the hearth and make me a new pair a boots out his hide."

Shaede is extremely on edge. So much does not make sense - there is an opulent mansion sitting on this lonely island full of "controlled creatures" complete with servants and who knows what. He will need to think on this much more. But, the food and drink is good, and he happily accepts a comfortable bed.
Before retiring for the night, he speaks to Tarvyn, "Its good to hear that you have so much control over your creations. Tomorrow, I would like to hear more about this park of yours. Thank you very much for your hospitality. It is much appreciated after all that we have been through. I do have one more question - how do we leave this island after our trip? You know, there is a census happening, and we are all obligated to be at our designated cities."
Thinking to himself, "I need to speak with the others."
Gwythian eyeballs his companions as each in turn falls into being agreeable and trusting of their strange companion. He keeps quiet on the matter and waves his hand in a gesture of defeat.
"I'll be sleeping with one eye open." He mutters under his breathe before being showed to his room.
