Moving slowly from behind the warriors Melchor enters the room, quickly making a clutching gesture towards the nearest rat, causing a spectral hand to manifest…
The barrage of attacks completely surprised the rats, killing 3 of the 5 before they knew anyone was there. The remaining 2 rats scurry into crevices in the wall.

Shrek needlessly chases after one of the rats that scurried into a crevice, finally jamming some sort of rock or other detritus found on the ground into the crevice entrance, blocking the rat from returning.
Turning, he looks over the disgusting scene. Whispering, “bad juju going on here”.
He takes a quick look over the mutilated bodies before turning to gag and dry heave at the sight.
Nothing else stands out. There is an exit to the north, which quickly juts east. Judging by the way the light falls, it looks like this passage may quickly open up into another room

Shrek comically attempts to sneak into the next room as well, but like a stupid oaf, mimics Olaerys by going up on his giant tippy toes and steps gingerly.
Wearing heavy chain, carrying a lantern (spear stowed again) and seeing his allies already making a ruckus, Randall shrugs and just walks into the next room behind the others.

Olaerys manages a semblance of quiet, but Shrek coming along behind them seems to kick every loose stone as he tiptoes, lumbering in with a LOT of noise.
The tunnel opens into a square room. In the center of it, a black rock about a foot across hovers three feet from the floor.
Melchor: Glimmer conveys to you that she sees a group of men enter the cage trap hallway

Shrek, turning bright red from embarrassment, is transfixed by the floating rock in the room. After a good 10 seconds of just standing there staring at it, he finally manages to peel himself away and looks throughout the rest of the room (Perception: 5) for anything else of interest, before finally turning his attention to the floater. He'll slowly walk up to it, but is afraid of touching it so he'll stay a fair distance away from it.
He turns to Fr'reona and Melchor and whispers "Hey magic friends...what dis?" while pointing his stubby finger at the rock (as if pointing out the obvious, thinking he's the only one who sees it...the dummy).
“What the hell? Let’s keep moving, I want to find who was pulling those levers.” Olaerys looks with curiosity at the floating table but walks on toward the next room.

‘They’re coming up behind us, Olaerys, they’re just coming along the cage corridor.’ Melchor says, sparing a moment to check out the rock before turning to guard the group’s rear.
"Hold on," Randall adds, looking at the rock. "This is an awful lot like that crystal thing I found and smashed in the necromancer's lair. A weird rock-like thing just floating in mid air."

Olaerys quickly says to Randall, Melchor and Shrek - - "Is this a good room to ambush them in? Shrek, you could lie on the table, hide your weapon at your side, act like you are an experiment. We could hide to the side of the doorways. When they rush in, we will attack. What do you think?" Olaerys turns to them for opinions. "Ehm... I know my plans haven't worked out too well thus far, but they sounded good, right?" Olaerys turns to look at each of you with a smile.

Randall shrugs, just happy that he isn’t the one on the suicide mission this time. He looks for a place to lie low while we wait for Olaerys’ plan to take shape.

It's hard to miss the clearly cut symbols on the foreheads of the bodies, as it matches the one you just saw on the mask outside.
Olaerys looks for anything else of note among the bodies, then starts to look for an exit from this room.

Easily swayed, Shrek shrugs, mumbles "Shrek no x-pare-mint" before laying down as instructed, Ready to attack at the slightest provocation.
