DM, has Torla noticed Bean "speak to himself" like that before? I'd like to cast Detect Evil and Good in his presence if I haven't before, but I can't until I take a long rest.
Torla notes where Bean placed the tinder and makes a mental note to not forget it if they group decides to leave the beach.
Unfortunately Erik you Found no one that Resembles the Captain among the bodies.
Bean, at this point you feel your throat go completely dry with a sudden stinging pain in your stomach. You keel over gripping your stomach, A Reddish juice seeps out of your mouth, You gather those berries were not exactly fit for consumption.

Torla, Im gonna say no you haven't seen this behavior from Bean before. With the size of the crew and the very different duties you both had played aboard the ship. You may have seen each other in passing or during a meal but never any prolonged exposure.

Upon seeing the gnome's condition deteriorate so rapidly, Erik will reach out to grab him and lay him down on the ground (if he cooperates).
"Shite! Shite! I think he's been poisoned! Has he eaten anything specific here on the island? And do any of you know anything about medicine or poisons?"
The edit is because I just realized Brythel and Bean hadn't actually left the beach yet.
DM, from what I'm reading, I don't have any way to cure his poison, is that right? I can give him more health, I can detect if he is in fact poisoned (Detect Poison and Disease), and I can remove poison from food and drink, but not living creatures. If he lies here long enough, something might come along and eat him, so does that make him food? :) At any rate, I'll cast Detect Poison, which allows me to "sense the presence and location of poisons, poisonous creatures, and diseases within 30 feet of you" for 10 minutes. I can "identify the kind of poison, poisonous creature, or disease in each case." I'm hoping that this will also clue me in to other things in the vicinity that are poisonous.
Torla immediately jumps at Brythel and Erik's words. She falls to her knees beside Bean, placing one hand to his chest while the other pulls the amulet out of her tunic and grasps it tightly. "Our father," she says, taking in Bean's condition, "we need your blessing to help our friend. Please, father, grant me the knowledge to understand what is happening and perhaps how to best help him."
Tyrvan reaches over and grabs the discarded coconut that had been dropped when Bean started convulsing.
"I don't know much about poison other than how to use it, but he's gonna need water one way or another." Tryvan jogs off into the direction of the pool, scraping as much of the innards of the coconut out as possible to make room to hold water.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
With the cleric now on the scene, Erik will immediately start scouring the nearby area and use his ranger training to try and identify any herbs or other medicinal plants that might help in this situation.
Survival: 21 (Second roll for possible advantage due to coastal terrain, if the DM allows: 8 )
Edit: Well, I guess that advantage isn't even necessary... :)
OOC: Bugs, bugs, bugs in the boards. First, I find out I have to refresh a few times to make sure I'm seeing all the posts. Now, I learn I've got to check and make sure my edits actually take effect. *sigh* I had edited my last post to no longer say Torla went to the pool because I realized after posting that Bean had dropped on the beach. Not that this mistake has affected anyone else's actions, but it's still frustrating (and a little embarrassing).
Also, last night, I was physically rolling a die. Do you all think it's better to use the board's built-in dice roller function? Is there an advantage for the DM that way, or is it purely a help for the poster?
Torla, From what I can see about your current abilities. You cannot cure Poisoned individuals, You can detect if they are indeed poisoned but there is nothing I can see that would allow you to cure him.
As you get close to Bean, Torla you can sense a tinge of Poison coming from him. While not strong it is there. You also get a sense because of the proximity of it, The Berries are indeed poison. Very weak if you eat one but multiple can lead to some problems. You get a feeling that it isnt a Lethal poison, More of a suffering and Sleep poison. Within 10 feet of you, the berries are the only thing sticking out, Even with one of those "Coconuts" a few feet away from you.
Tyrvan, You have something that can carry some water. You take off to the small pool and gather some water. Being careful not to spill any.
Erik with the first nat 20 of the campaign, Well done. Being a ranger, you know your plants and the medicinal use that some can have. Searching around the area you find a White flower wtih long purple petals, While the actual name of the plant escapes you. You know for a fact that it has many medicinal uses.

(OOC: Yeah, I've been noticing a lot of the same things. Main frustration for me is the text editor not loading properly so I can't even reply to a thread. And refreshing doesn't even seem to help that, so I've had to completely restart my browser several times already. And as far as the dice roller is concerned, I think the main point is so that everyone can see your rolls and know that you're not fudging anything.)
Imras, a sudden breeze of wind blows some sand in your eye and you spend the next minute trying to get it out.
Erik, From what you know the Petals are what actually holds the medicinal properties, You know that they can be ingested but it would be better to grind the petals into powder and mix them with water.

"When we're dangerously low on fresh water at the moment? I think drinking takes priority and you can handle a stinging eye for a bit."
Turning his attention back to Bean and Torla, he kneels down next to the dwarf and presents the flowers. "These should help, the petals have some curative properties." He will then proceed to pluck the petals off of several of the flowers and tear them up into tiny pieces, rubbing them between his fingers to help release the juices inside. A strong scent like mint and anise fills the air as he does so, and he'll mix the petal pieces into the water that Tyrvan brings before helping Bean to drink it.
Tyrvan watches as Erik mixes the flowers into the water and has Bean drink it. "As soon as Bean as able, we have got to get off this beach. There's not going to be enough fresh water to last us and the only thing to eat are these death berries and coconuts."
Tyrvan looks around at the coconuts. "Maybe we could use these coconuts to fashion makeshift canteens to carry with us when we move inland just in case?"
