Hello adventurers I’m looking to run 2-3 solo adventures in my home brew world.
Please post your character concept, with what kind of campaign you would potentially like (relict/artifact hunt, monster slaying, exploration). Also include a brief background of your character, I’m not looking for a novel but a sentence wouldn’t suffice here.
I look forward to seeing what you all have and choosing a couple of you to adventure with.
You are familiar with my Ranger/Cleric combo from The Lost Mines setup. I would be happy to bring that character with me for some solo adventures. I also do a mean Druid if that is more interesting. I'll post the Druid background when I get home from work.
I've got a half elf blade singer I'm wanting to try out, the basics are he was born to a tarvern wrenched human women who's father considered him a drunken mistake, after that his mother sent him to an orphanage, he ran away, then an old guy with an obsession for a hidden elven kind of magic picked him off the street, after he died I went to the elven lands to find this this magic, and Viclas Tyrin eventually found his way to a powerful elven kingdom where he learned the art of the blade singer, there he met Medoly Silver heart a warrior, they trained together and became close friends, after completing his learning of the Bladesinger he and Medoly ventured out to find his father and help others along the way,
OOG: I'm still fixing up the full back story so should hopefully do that in a few hours

Dwight Brightcog was a machinist with a natural knack for his craft. From an early age he began tinkering with little bits of metal making his own mechanical toys and fixing equipment around his home. He often accompanied his father to the mithril mine fixing carts and lifts. One day while working on a rather large cart. He got a vision from Gond of a group of Drow gathering to attack his family mine. Dwight grabbed his hammer and started screaming at the top of his lungs that an attack was imminent. His alarm saved his family and everyone in the mine and Dwight declared the rest of his life would be in service to the god of craft. Recently while in his workshop Dwight received another vision this time of an ancient relic Gond wanted him to investigate. Dwight gathered his things and said his goodbyes to his family off to search for this relic and to find out why his deity had given him this vision.
When slavers took her clutch to use their talents for burglary, she survived their abuses. When a group of adventurers slew the slavers, she survived their prejudice and scorn. And when she returned home to find her tribe slaughtered by their gnomish neighbors, she survived a year long guerrilla war to avenge them that left the gnome settlement abandoned and shunned. Grinner is a survivor, and recently she has found a strange force bolstering her magic, the touch of something more than mortal. But Kurtulmak, god of Kobolds, is imprisoned and grants no spells, and the force that is aiding her is more mischievous than wicked. Answers to questions of the divine are hard to come by , but Grinner must know.
Captured by a band of Dragonborn thieves when young. He was able to escape, it is not clear if he had help, and grew up in the forest under the influence of Dryads. He is a loner who knows the forest and it's animals with magical clarity. He makes companions of the beasts and enjoys the natural power of trees and earth. He has a strange rejection complex in relation to his own kind, Elves. Partly this is deserved by his own eccentric behavior but mostly the elves of the wood, from which he gets his ancestry and who should understand him the best are closed minded and refuse to accept his strange connection to the beasts and especially to the Dryads that influenced his upbringing.

Give me some kind of back story and we'll see what we can do.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
I Toby(Tobacco Oleander) the ranger / tabaxi . My parents were killed in a raid on our homeland while i was out playing. Days had passed with me not knowing what to do but survive. A character which i later came to know as my guarding / watcher (Solance) an Aasimer Paladin took me to a family of Goliaths high in the mountains in a far away land. There raised as a hunting pet in most ways. Lived there with a mother, father, brother (Tauras Rati) barbarian. As i and my brother reached in young adult we want to venture out. So my brother went out to head for Neverwinter to be a hired hand. Short time after i was leaving and about 1 day out on my trip i looked back at the home i knew to only see lots of smoke on the mountain top. I rush back to only find that it had be raided just as my homeland village was, everything about it seem the same in motive. My watcher came out of the smoke and fire town and told me to go find Tauras , that he was on a path to an horrible adventure. So for now i am alone traveling to find clues of my brother and to solve why this power to be is torturing and following me.
I had an idea of adventures in underworld setting. It could be a single or for two players (imho 2 players would be better). Players goes deep under the earth surface. Dark, narrow tunels, maybe some evil monsters and some small "gray skin" tribes
Hook for good characters could be to something standard rescue "i am sorry Mario but princes is not in this castle" ;)
On the other hand we could have some evil warlocks/paladins that are hunted by their patreons and need to answear the call and go deep to find some forgoten altar, relict etc. "From hobbit to Golum" flavor
Hi Jhyoung09, I would LOVE to do a solo campaign. I'm well versed in 5e and have done Play by Post elsewhere but am new to D&D Beyond. Character creation/sheets seem pretty slick, to start! I've been wanting to play a bladelock in some format, probably a multi-class character. Since it will be solo, I'm actually thinking of a treasure/bounty hunter. I thus give you...
Gerruk "Rook" Aeraval - Rogue X / Warlock X - Eladrin (or Variant Human with Alert feat)
-Backstory: Originally a common thief, Rook's greed and desire for wealth and power alienated him from even his fellow thieves. Never one to follow their code in favor of what he thought best for him individually, Rook was eventually forced from his home city in the Feywild by order of several different thieve's guilds. Rook thus moved from town to town for a while, stealing coin and valuables here and there as he could, but fleeing before the local guild stopped the outcast. As he grew increasingly bold, Rook decided to steal from a local wizard in the next town. Among other items, Rook stole a peculiar spell book. Intrigued, he studied the book but found he had little skill in magic. As he turned the pages, however, he found increasingly odd markings in the margins in this otherwise neat and tidy book. As he studied the odd runes and incantations scribbled there, a tiny feeling crept into the back of his mind and a little voice whispered in his head that he could wield greater power in reaching his goals. Several years later, we find Rook in the material plane, having crossed over as the lines between the Feywild and the lands of humans, elves and dwarves blurred as they tend to do from time to time. He finds this new land easier to master, as his newfound magic is rarer that it might have been in the Feywild, setting him apart. Having learned from the lessons of his youth, Rook has worked to polish a new persona for himself. He is no longer a 'thief', per say, but rather a treasure hunter for hire. Backchannel references also know him to be a bounty hunter as well, showing no hesitation in taking the life of his mark. Rook now sports a shiny reputation for a hired contractor that always gets the job done. He seeks to increase his fame just as much as his fortune these days, although prefers to be referred to as a mystery, a legend, rather than one well known about town. In taverns and other common settings he sports the persona of a more average man, using it to fish for news of new jobs or rare relics in the region. One thing Rook would like to add to his list of assets is a reliable fence, a bard or innkeeper who could gather more information for him on work otherwise keep his identity a secret in exchange for a share of the profits.
-Mechanics: stealth, thieves tools, assassin, uses warlock magic to enhance his abilities to stealth in, find treasure or his mark, and flee; darkness, devil's sight, armor of agathys, temp hp, fire shield, thunder step, misty step, etc.
If we are doing a Solo Campaign I would love to play a dragon. The character concept is below.
Noaviophialth The Gifted One, Stage Name: Skip Williams
Naviophialth, like most dragons, wants to acquire a metric cave ton of gold. Unlike his ferocious brethren, he wants to do it by becoming a Big Star. Navi has always had this dream. He could sing before he could talk or breathe fire. His parents where rather reluctant to have him leave the cave as he is very witless and naive. "This is not a world for unwise Dragons", his mother would say, but Navi had a song in his heart and as soon as his wings were done developing he left his birth cave in search of his fortune and glory.
When it comes to this adventure anything goes. He is a Brass dragon trying to become a Superstar. His stage name is Skip Williams and his act features a little old style stand-up and song (Think Bing Crosby).
Ezekiel Magnus was born to a nomadic human and an also nomadic elf. When he was 7, his parents were voyaging through a forest when a group of bandits attacked them. His father drew a shortsword, but was immediately shot in the neck by a crossbow and died. Ezekiel's mother was captured, but Ezekiel himself ran into the wood. It was there he met Dwaalmad, an old druid. over the next seventeen years, Ezekiel would come to be proficient in Druidcraft. He bid his old master farewell, and took off, in hopes of finding a new life. Currently the Half-Elf despises Rogues and other criminals due to his childhood, and he has a deep respect for nature.
