"Perhaps I should go first, if we meet anymore of those strange goblins I may be able to talk to them. Very curious I am, but a fight is something I would avoid if possible." Adoy says to Kathleen as she peers through the opening.
Deep in the black and menacing gloom comes the steady beating of the drums. And in this world below the world, where even the worms fear to burrow, you are suddenly aware of how quiet it is here. Quiet, that is, but for the drums.
"I volunteer myself as a rear guard," Dwinkle states abruptly.
Adoy, pretending to be very brave but secretly getting a bit unnerved by the drumming, steps forward. "Ok Kathleen, let us see what awaits inside." He steps quietly through the opening and takes a good look around.
It is a cold, damp, narrow tunnel, sloping ever farther downward into the earth. No end is in sight, nor does any source of light illuminate the festering dankness of old earth and rotting vegetation.
Yep, you guessed it; I am one of those annoying DM's who always overdoes the adjectives. ;)

Kathleen says, "Sure go ahead, but I'm coming with you."

Kathleen inspects the slope. Were she to move down, would she be able to get back up?
Perception: 6
The slope is steep but gradual, with plenty of handholds and footholds. It would be possible to return up the slope after sliding down it.

Kathleen says, "I'm going ahead!" and slides down the slope at a good speed.
