Ghorbash wanders the temple and is enthralled with the architecture. He has never seen such beauty in reverence to the God of the sea. He sees many people milling about taking care of various temple business. Not being a spiritual soul, Ghorbash does not partake in the rituals that others seem to be doing. For now, he looks at the images on the walls and ceilings. He admires the figures and creatures contained within. In his wanderings, he overhears the conversation between Kathleen and the temple priest.
"Gods aren't known to handle money well it seems." Ayoola says with a grin to the elven woman, who also offered to the temple.
Kathleen smiles and says, "Yeah. I guess you're right. I'm Kathleen Burns by the way." She points to Ghorbash and says, "That friendly half-orc admiring the temple over there is Ghorbash. You seem to be from out of town like us, Ms..."
Ennis partakes of the evening meal at the Peregrine's Respite, alongside Marigold, Rosalyn, Mathias, the gaudy traveler, a half-elf couple, and a female tiefling.
"Nice to meet you, Kathleen." Ayoola bows. "I am indeed not from here. You wouldn't know a place or person that deals with creature parts in general and Sahuagin blood in particular?"
Kathleen looks a little confused. "Sorry. I don't know where to find them. Maybe you can get someone to hunt the creatures down and get these for you? What do you need those for?"
"Ah, just a project of mine. A potion," she says and rambles on: "In his work on sea life, Professor Alnamir described the stabilizing properties of Sahuagin blood, so I thought I could try it for mine."
Kathleen's attention does not waver. "So I take it you're a researcher? I'd ask what your potion does but I'm guessing that's classified. Anyway, do you have a place to stay here?"
"Ah, it's not classified. Anymore." Ayoola looks around before continuing talking to Kathleen. "I used to work on an official project to give people access to magic. Now I do it on my own."
She shrugs. "And no, I don't have a place to stay... wait, are you hitting on me?"
Kathleen is caught off guard by her accusation, "WHAT? NO! I was just asking because I just got here too and I haven't found a place to stay yet either."
"Oh, I see. Sorry!" Ayoola says and bows apologetically. "The two guys I met, look like they prefer to sleep outdoors too. But surely we can find a place, this is a port town after all."
Kathleen puts her finger on her chin and thinks aloud, "I wonder if Ghorbash has found a place to stay." She notices that it's getting late and says, "It's getting late. Maybe we can travel together and find a place?"
She turns to Ghorbash and says, "Hey Ghorbash, do you have a place to spend the night? If not would you like to try and find one together?"
About done with his wanderings in the temple, he turns to Kathleen. "No. I arrived today, too. Let us leave this place." Thinking of a comfortable bed for a good nights' sleep, Ghorbash is hastened to find the nearest inn. It is time to regroup and determine his next step in the morning.
Kathleen asks Ghorbash to wait a minute and turns back to Ayoola. "We're going to try and check in to an inn or something. Are you coming?" Kathleen walks around with Ghorbash to find an inn (preferably with Ayoola's party) until they happen upon a hostelry known as Peregrine's Respite.
"Let's try here." Kathleen opens the door and enters saying, "Hello. Are there rooms and food available for weary travelers?"
Anyone who enters the Respite first sees a small entryway with numerous wooden pegs on the right-hand wall, several of which presently hold various cloaks, caps, and coats of myriad styles and sizes. Beyond a second, open doorway lies the great room, a large open room furnished with a large hearth, several couches and chairs, and even a couple of writing desks in the left hand corners. Scattered amongst the furnishings are various knicknacks and trinkets of the sort that halfling families tend to collect, such as the tarnished silver horn hanging above the hearth and the clockwork toy shaped like a dog that sits guarding the floor in the far corner.
To the right of the great room and parallel with it, separated by a series of wooden columns that also act as support beams for the upper floor, you see an equally large dining room, dominated by a single, massive table of hand-carved oak. The table itself could easily seat 16 people comfortably, or a score if they don't mind being a bit closer, and is currently occupied by an eclectic mix of individuals who seem to be coming to the close of an evening meal.
Ghorbash and Kathleen would both recognize the red-headed male human who sits next to the two halfling children, but it is the older female halfling who stands to greet them.
"Oh, my, such a group right in the middle of supper?" she says mostly to herself as she walks over to greet the (presumably five) newcomers. "Yes, yes, welcome to the Respite. We have plenty of beds available upstairs at the moment for a two clamms a night, and while we were just wrapping up with our meal there is still plenty left if you wish to partake, bearing in mind that it has all cooled somewhat. Do all of you wish to come in and join us for the night?"
Ghorbash enters the inn and the sweet smells fills his nostrils. It seems a forever ago that he ate at the tavern. He peers down at the little lady and smiles, "Food and a room, for me." He offers 2 clamms to the lady and gladly takes a bowl to sit opposite the man from the tavern. He looks intensely at Ennis and says, "No trouble taken if no trouble given. Tomorrow is new day."
Ennis is pleasantly surprised by the half-orc's sudden civility, considering he was flipping tables when last they saw each other, but manages not to show it. He offers a pleasant smile and nod instead.
"Then a new day it shall be. You'll get no trouble from me."
He then leans forward over the table and adds in a conspiratorial whisper, "You simply MUST try the roasted sprouts! They're divine!" He indicates a large dish to his left in the middle of the table, which is presently about half full with small roasted green spheres that are smothered with onions and a generous portion of bacon.

OOC: Did Gris succeed in anything that he had planned ? He would rather keep the conversation private "for cleric ears only"

"We'd love to." Kathleen says "I hope our odd timing didn't cause too much trouble."
She would turn to the party with a smile and say, "Looks like we're lucky enough to have found a nice place to spend the night and get food."
