BirdCopp, I am impressed that you knew you had to approach a horse in a specific way at all. I occasionally deal with horses at my side job working for a forest preserve district, I have never spooked one but you do have to be careful, one kick can easily kill a man, and a spooked horse will throw any rider even one they are familiar with. most people seem to think they are just like big dogs.
Umm.... Ask him where he got those god awful breeches or whatever it is that he's wearing. There must be reason why he is wearing that in spite of all his friends telling him not to.
I mean, he must have friends and if you wear something that hurts to look at, your friends aren't going to leave you alone until you stop. So, maybe there's a reason why he is wearing those. Maybe he got it recently. From a halfling perhaps?
EDIT: Am I over-thinking this? I may be over thinking this.
We do not play in setting with currency from the phb so maybe we do not need us much.
Ask about everything. Where is he from, where is he going, does he need some help (money?) Does he know anything about the halfling we are looking for.
I'd suggest asking if this particular horse has been troublesome for them, and whether or not they'd be willing to let it go for less just to spare them the trouble.
On finances, Ennis has six crabbits. A single one left from his own coin purse after the events of the previous day and night, and now the five crabbits from Adoy.
I think the dwarf is definitely worth investigating. Adoy on the other hand is much more interested in the horse, not as something to buy but as someone to befriend.
Ok
sounds good to me.
Thanks.

I've only got 7 gold. Per PHB two horses and a cart would put us at 115 Gold. We probably need a 50% discount.
What shall Ayoola ask the yellow fellow? I have no idea to be honest.

But maybe my fellow players can help me out. :P

Ehh well that is a huge meta gaming

Hmm..Does this dwarf hide a secret or he is just blinking?
I think he wants a bribe. Not sure though.
I've got 7 Gold. Adoy has nothing, I think. Kathleen has 15.
So that's 28 between Ennis, Adoy, Kathleen, and Ayoola. Gris? Ghorbash?
Ghorbash has 9 gold to his name
Gris 9
Well, that's 37, which would buy the horse, but I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who doesn't want to be TOTALLY broke...
...and we'd probably need a bit more gold to buy a cart to go with it as well...
Edit: Whoops, missed your post, Gris.
So, between all six of us, we have 46 gold. Keeping 1 gold each would leave 40, which I THINK is enough to get both the horse and a cart...
Yeah. Not sure what 1horse will get us
Biggest advantage I see is the cart to carry supplies...but we'd kind of need money to get any supplies anyways...
So yeah, not sure this is really the best course of action for us.
Although I expect Adoy and possibly Gris would still want to free the horse, since it doesn't seem happy with its current ownership.
