Can we get a rough idea of where the goblins are, how many are left, and where we are in the initiative order ? Loathar is last and I didn’t want to post until all the goblins have attacked. But it looks like he’ll just move forward 30ft along the road
This is why I hate cantrip with a save required. Unless you go with an evocation wizard they don't do anything if the save is made.... Sadly without the phb on here the spells I have access to are kind of sucky.

Rekuberk Onc Level 8 | Half Orc | Barbarian (The Tales of the Fellowship of the White Cloaks)
I hope to unlock content sharing sometime soon. Unfortunately money is tight for me right now, I own a business and am still paying off the initial loan. Until that's done I am forced to pay myself very very little.
Cantrips are all pretty weak, it makes being a caster kinda lame for the first couple levels, but I have found its worth it when you start getting more spell slots and higher level spells. I have a Rouge/Sorcerer in a game I have been paying with a few friends for a couple years. I started as a rouge and cross classed at lvl 5, I was really unhappy with my cross class choice at first but right around sorcerer lvl 3 he started being a whole lot of fun to play. One trick I learned is if you have Find Familiar you can summon up a bird and cast melee cantrips from a distance through the bird, shocking grasp works great on guys on armored horses.
I got find familiar as my one non illusion spell for being an arcane trickster rouge, it might be overkill on the magic but it fit the story and he is fun to play.
Cantrip are good as they get better. I don't mind firebolt and ones like that but until you get a higher level and proficiency the cantrips that require a save are to easy for enemies to pass. And yeah it is the same with me, I've already paid for most of the books irl and am having trouble justifying buying them again on here even if they are cheaper.
when you click on manage experience you should get a popup with a gauge showing your progress to the next level, under that should be "set level" and "set xp" and then under that should be "Add xp" and "remove xp" make sure you have "add xp" selected, then under that is a box that says "Type xp value" you should be able to just type 75 into that box then hit apply.
He may have set the character to use milestone advancement on creation, in which case the manage xp option wouldn’t show up.
If that's the case just go into "edit character" and change advancement type from milestone to xp. If you have trouble figuring it out or if you are on a phone or tablet and cant access those options let me know, I can edit your character sheets if need be, but I wont do so unless you ask me to. things could get really confusing if I just started updating your sheets without your knowledge, also I know I like to manage my own characters.
At the beginning of the battle Vandar threw the yklwa, and killed a goblin. That definitely happened but I did not understand what a yklwa is. That is why I described it as cutting the goblin in half. however it is in fact a short spear with a long blade, and so would have actually impaled the goblin.
So once again, I promise you I am not just trying to kill everyone. I have no experience with bards, I was under the impression that they could stand in for the cleric similar to the druid, on top of that these goblins are having way too much good luck with their rolls. I have been playing this adventure for the most part straight out of the book, but it is clear that I need to implement a little Deus ex machina to get things back on track. Please stick with me its coming very soon.
Also I am new to play by post and posting in forums in general, please bare with me. Now that I have the map thing down I will be posting an updated map at the top of each round of combat so you will know what the battlefield looks like.
I have also been looking into different game mechanics that might help move things along and I would like to hear what you think.
1. instead of rolling initiative every combat, we could use a passive check instead. this would mean you would roll 10 + your initiative mod by default each combat. this may make combat very predictable as you will be in the same order almost every time. enemies would get 10 + their dex mod.
2. instead of me replying to each persons turn, I could let you all tell me what you want to do on your turn, in initiative order of course, then I would sum up what happed at the end of the round making adjustments to your actions as needed IE: you say you are attacking a goblin that someone else already killed, I adjust your attack to hit a different goblin.

SeaAg, as far as you know there is only one goblin left alive, he took his turn and fled. check the spoiler I left for you before decide what to do.

I'm here, I finally found it.
I was wondering how do you add the 75 xp
Fantastic that is everyone.
to add xp go into your character sheet and click on the character portrait, in the dropdown menu you should see manage experience.
It only allows me to change the lvl up or down
when you click on manage experience you should get a popup with a gauge showing your progress to the next level, under that should be "set level" and "set xp" and then under that should be "Add xp" and "remove xp" make sure you have "add xp" selected, then under that is a box that says "Type xp value" you should be able to just type 75 into that box then hit apply.

Actually had to change it to xp then it let me edit so it worked out
ok
I have to admit a mistake.

Lol. I didn’t even think about that when he died
