"Yes let us press on" Silas says but not before saying a quick prayer for his fallen enemy. "Ohhh ilmater, make sure this swine gets what he is deserved in the astral plane."
Tibern will keep his rapier drawn as he waits to move down the hallway. "If we see the doppleganger make sure that we bring them back for more questions."

The hallway is empty and does not appear to be trapped. On the North wall is a door which Silas finds to be locked. To the East the hall decends down in a flight of stairs. There is no sign of the bugbears or doppelganger.
Dusty draperies adorn the walls of this room, which also contains a bed and brazier. A badly disheveled dwarf lies bound and unconscious on the cold stone floor.
The dwarf groans and stirs, then suddenly he swings a fist directly at Silas but stops just short of hitting the gnome in the face. The rage in the dwarf's face calms and he says "Ye ain't no drow." He sits up and runs a his wrists where the bindings had been. "I thank ye friend, thought for sure I was a goner I did. Did Gundren send ye?" He stands and winces in pain, which brings a bit of the rage back into his eyes. "Tell me friend, where is that drow bastard? He is going to pay for what he did to Tharden."
"Alas Gundren suffered the same fate. By the time we found him he was being impersonated by a doppleganger. We made sure that he was questioned and is now being held in Phandalin to await judgement." Tibern says as he moved to help the dwarf. "As for the drow my companions and I put him to the sword."

For a moment Nundro looks as though he is about to break out in tears, but he composes himself and says "The bastards, my brothers deaths shall not be in vain. I swear to Dumathoin, here in this place which was once a temple to him, that the Rockseeker clan will reclaim this mine and we will restore it to it's former glory! And then I will personally hunt down tha scum what sent that accursed wizard here and I will have vengeance!"
After a few moments Nundro calms down saving his wrath for those who deserve it. "I must apologize, these are difficult circumstances, I should have introduced myself. I am Nundro Rockseeker, but no doubt ye fellow knew that anyway. Seeing as how the drow bastard is dead, and you boys look like that task took some doing, and I ain't exactly feelin' wonderful, I think you should rest here awhile. This room used to be the priest's quarters, and should make just as good a safe house as a prison. Once we are all feeling a bit better I'd be even further indebted to ye if ye would help me finish the task me brothers and I were planning to do, that being clear this mine of the creepy crawlies what crept in in our absence so we can reclaim it and renew the Phandelver's Pact. You help me do that and I can promise ye wealth beyond yer wildest dreams, this whole region will be in yer dept."
At this point I'd like to make a call as DM and make an improvised milestone, I want you guy to have a chance to level up again, had you followed all the little side quests you would be level 5 by now. Seeing as how this game has been over a year long now I think you deserve at least level 4, that said everyone take 1000xp, which should be enough to get you all to lvl 4. You are also in a safe place where you can take a long rest and level yourselves up. Then you still have most of a dungeon to clear out, provided your characters agree to help Nundro.
Nundro is used to adventurers and is only a little surprised by the presence of an invisible gnome, he is also rather preoccupied by his grief and anger.
Tibern will nod to Nundro and take a to sit down, carefully setting his equipment to the side as he rests. "We came here to clear out the mine and to hopefully come across you and your brother so I fully intend to finish what we came here to do. For now though as you suggested we shall rest and regain out strength."

After a few minutes the sphere of darkness vanishes.
Where would you like to go?
Silas will remain invisible for about 45 minutes.
Silas will investigate the hallway: 14
The hallway is empty and does not appear to be trapped. On the North wall is a door which Silas finds to be locked. To the East the hall decends down in a flight of stairs. There is no sign of the bugbears or doppelganger.
"Tibern, will that key open this locked door?"
Tibern will flow the sound of the voice and move to see if the key fits the lock without touching the door itself.

Tibern carefully turns the key then nov s to the side of the door as quickly as he can, keeping his rapier at the ready.

Dusty draperies adorn the walls of this room, which also contains a bed and brazier. A badly disheveled dwarf lies bound and unconscious on the cold stone floor.
Silas will rush over and use his staff to heal the dwarf for 9 and of course untie him.

OOG: I forgot that Silas is invisible. Assume Nundro was talking to Tibern and simply swung his fist high missing Silas.

"What we need to do now is get everybody out of this place safely." Silas chimes in.
