”Unless Ringlerun can cast Magic to open that door at the top of the central tower, I think we will just have to keep exploring. Should we try the vine up to the suspended tower next?” suggests Ben.

"I can open one lock a day!" announces Runglerun. "Of course, it's hard to measure days around here... But I can open one now, or whenever you'd like me to. Also flight, levitation, and of course my favorite, the one I call 'cone of cold'..." He waves his staff dramatically for theatrical effect.
The eerie boat's last stop is the Hall of Hatches. Unless you have further business in the Costume Room, you find yourselves deposited once again in the short hall with four hatches, each containing the head of a decapitated creature. Do you want to try to use them again to reenter the tower, or go through the northern door and around the corner and explore the Beanstalk next door? Or something else?
The party explores the short hallway, abruptly terminated where the palace has been torn asunder by the growth of an enormous beanstalk that has lifted one of its towers high into the air. The floor 30' below is choked with rubble and the thick roots that form the beanstalk’s base. 50' above your heads is the rest of the tower, held aloft by the massive vine.
(You are welcome to try climbing the beanstalk, but doing so requires a successful Strength (Athletics) check. On a check that fails by 5 or more, you fall.)
Ringlerun smiles. "Oh, you'll be easy. You're so small. You'll love it. Ready?" He lowers his staff at her. There's no sound, no light, no beam – just the sensation of being lifted by a thousand invisible butterflies. She rises at a modest rate (20 feet per 6 seconds, or the pace of a leisurely stroll... upward.)
Fifty feet above your heads, the rest of you see Titaani slowly rise and approach the broken piece of tower, held aloft by the beanstalk.
Smiling, Ben remains below and watches as the ladies literally and figuratively fly up towards the tower. "Be careful up there and tell us what you find," he says standing below and keeping an eye on the situation.

Titaani disappears inside the broken, suspended tower. Matilda leaps high in the air, catches the vine, and quickly scrambles up the remainder. You can still see her clinging to the edge of the tower, half-hidden in leaves.
Horatio methodically but masterfully clambers up next.
Then Pud follows. He uncertainly and hesitatingly begins to climb, but then slips and plummets through the leaves toward the tower floor some 30 feet below. (Alas, as he falls he suddenly remembers that coil of rope in his pack...)
Runglerun, still pointing the staff toward Titaani's last visible location, looks torn as he concentrates, seeing Pud fall.
Neither Horatio, Ben, nor anyone with them is close enough to grab Pud. Does anyone other than Ringlerun have magical or other means to slow or catch Pud?

Using the black quill pen from the Library, Ben adds "The Witch Queen of Perrenland" into one of the blank books.
Nothing happens; the ink swiftly evaporates.

Pud dives for cover.
”Hey now! Watch it with that staff.”
He gets up and dusts himself off.
“Yeah, we should probably explore a bit.”

"I think we should try 'Natasha' to open that door," Titaani suggests, "Before we use ringlerun's magic."

"I vote the big vine. We don't seem to have anywhere else we can explore." Horatio offers.
Matilda agrees happily.
"I hope no one is afraid of heights," Titaani laughs, moving to join the others on their way to the vine.

Do we have any more rope?” asks Ben. “I don’t mind climbing up first and securing it if we do,” he adds.

"All out. Anyone else?" Horatio asks.
Ben tries his hands at climbing the beanstalk, but finds it trickier than he had guessed. He slides back down the fat green stalk, making no progress.
Ringlerun points his staff at Ben. "You want a lift?" He squints upward to gauge the distance. "I think I can push you all the way up."
Titaani gasps in delight, her eyes immediately lighting up. "You can make us fly? Ooh, do me! Make me fly, please!!"
