Figure out if you want a Bastion (from the 2024 dmg)
If you do, let me know if you can issue an order remotely, as you're not at the site right now. If not, roll a d100, or I will, for the maintain order.
Immediately beset upon by the rug as he enters the hallway, Uriel doesn’t have a chance to hear the others’ responses or even consider taking a rose for himself.

After looking through the eyes of Hawky and getting the layout from the sky, he will follow Uriel, pausing to grab a flower at the door and slipping it into his leather vambrace, only to be shocked by the commotion near the door.....
After escaping free of the rug and seeing Piccolo approaching to give him a hug Trisk will pick up his diminutive friend in a big bear hug as if he was reunited with a long lost daughter and spin around once or twice.
"Piccolo! It's so good to see you again! I wasn't entirely sure what happened after we escaped the doom vault through the portal."
Finally putting her back down and composing himself a little, "My spirit soars to know you are safe and free, and I'm as happy as can be to be reunited with you."
Almost as an afterthought, "Oh, you should take a rose. I'm not sure but nothing happened to Tesservett when he took one. I didn't when I first entered and the rug gave me a very unfriendly hug." said with a crooked smirk.

"A rightful place awaits you in the Realms Above, in the Land of the Great Light. Come in peace, and live beneath the sun again, where trees and flowers grow."
— The message of Eilistraee to all decent drow.
"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
"Indeed," says Uriel, taking a rose and threading it carefully into his thorny crown, "It seems like introductions are due all around. I am Uriel Moonshadow, a sailor from Caer Corwell. Drain I have already met. Who are the rest of you?"

No retcons. You knocked the rug out for a minute, it woke up and confirmed not holding a rose. Rug attacks again. Picollo is grapple checked.
All the actions described above can proceed as described once you've dealt with the situation. Currently picollo is challenged to grapple. Uriel is grappled for 2 rounds, succeeding escape on the second.
I cannot state strongly enough that this is a corridor with a rug that hurts you in a full sized castle with a dragon inside it so dawdling here seems... inadvisable.
(Piccolo took a rose from Trisk(post 6931), but will dextrously avoid the irritable rug , 27 acrobatics), she will open the door that does not smell, (straight?)
The white rosw patterned rug lying on the floor grabs Uriel and Picollo.
Grapple check 24
(escape DC 13). Until this grapple ends, the target is restrained, blinded, and at risk of suffocating. In addition, at the start of each of the target's turns, the target takes 10 bludgeoning damage.
<I know the page flips after this post (345 to 346), so maybe it was missed.>
Evading the rug, picollo finds her way to the end of the hall, passing another tsbke of roses. The door opens onto a long corridor. To the left, three doors are marked wtih familiar symbols, indicating they are magically sealed. The first wo are lions, the third a hart. At the end of the hall, the corridor tuens right to reveal three more closed doors, but before the end of the hallway, there is an open passage on the right side to access a set of stairs spiraling upward. But, even before that, a linear set of stairs beginning abruptly at the doorway.
(recap: 3 locked on the left, three open on the right. In order: linear stairs, spiral stairs, three more doors)
Anyone can call the next move and you don't all need to stay together. That's up to you.
Trisk sprints up the stairs using the railing (or wall if there is no railing) and his hands to help pull himself along and speed up his ascent to the next level bursting upon the landing before anyone or anything can react to how quickly he appears.
"Follow me!" he shouts down to all the new companions that had just grouped together and met each other below.

Shrugging, Uriel walks after Trisk. Though he seems to just be walking at a normal pace, the unarmored warrior seems to keep up with Trisk just fine (60 foot base movement speed). "Any clue where the queen is?" he asks the enthusiastic fellow.

The walls of this circular chamber are decorated with sculpted reliefs depicting humans and demons partaking in grotesque revels. A spiral staircase with a golden handrail is in the middle of the room.
The spiral staircase ascends 30 feet to double doors sealed with a lion crown lock.

Anybody pick a door yet? You got left, right and straight ahead.
Options for Picollo: roll til escape, make attacks knowing it has damage transfer, or try to knock it out again, etc.
It's a 40ft+ rug; it has a few hit points. Leaving the room is unquestionably the best course of action. Or KO as before and take a rose.
