“Nah, Frangipani will drag him back by his ears”. Let’s keep thinking of a way out of here. How did guests come and go? How did staff go back and forth to the kitchen?”
he starts Looking closer at the 4 statues. “Reginald, any magic here other than the water?”
(Maybe wizard hand in the hole? Maybe we get lucky although I think it’s another slime or pudding)
(Probably pulled it out far enough to easily grab, but left it down there.)
"Well, there's something odd here. The hole is blocked by something squishy. Have a look." Bjorn straightens himself up and stands near the hole. And while you do, I can lift that potion off of ye...
“Don’t worry my friend, if we are going to drown, I’ll give you the potion. Stay alert and let’s have Reginald here send a magic hand in there. Be ready for another slime.”
Sparhawk keeps trying to study and manipulate the statues

Bjorn blinks in shock. Are you a mind reader? He extracts the pole and gives Reginald some room to work.
“Yes my friend. One of my many talents. But don’t tell the others, I’ll know you are going to!” Sparhawk winks at Vars.
All the poses are identical. What do you do to manipulate the statues?
As you are swimming, you run through a purplish colored current that boosts your speed, enabling you to catch up to Frangipani at approx 80 ‘ up, if she went that far
The end of the pole is covered in a nasty smelling Ichor of unknown origin
Lir greets Frangipani - "Find anything? The landlegs are trapped. Still looking. Don't know what for - they don't seem to know, might need our help."
Notes the speed boost he just received. "Even if we could lead them into these purple currents, we could catapult them up to the surface....assuming they know to hold their breaths."
Roll perception to see if he could feasibly guide another through the water to the currents and speed them up to the surface 8

While waiting for the group to be together, Sparhawk will continue to examine the statues, waiting for a detect magic from a Reginald. He’ll look for any signs of scratches on the floor if the statues have been moved (maybe a passage under one of them)
he won’t move them for now
“Bjorn, could that stuff on the pole be a sort of lubricant?”
"Sludge..." Bjorn holds the end of the pole up for observation by the others. "Five gold if someone tastes it. Maybe that'll tell us what it is."
“I’ll pay someone 10 to shove it up Bjorns arse”
