Narstin takes time in the alpearqnc of the woman before him. We could t help but notice that your entire town seems to be sick. We wanted to see if there was any way we could help.
Looking up from his now whispering book, a detail that did not seem to bother him. As soon as Narstin's question trails off Bayrith begins a question to the woman.
"Yes, Madam. Do you remember what your men were doing in the mine, the first day this ailment struck the town? Did it affect the animals at all? Did it affect only living or did it rot your food stores at all?"
He takes a deep breath after his long line of questions and was about to begin with more when he pulls his note book up to his ear, apparently just now realizing it was whispering.
"Hhhmmm, peculiar indeed" he grumbles to himself as he shakes his book about, trying to stop its noise.
Maev silently follows the others inside the building her eyes darting about Perception11 with interest and curiosity looking for a nice little out of the way spot to sit down in whatever room or area they end up in.
Bayrith follows the group in, shaking his book, then holding it up to his ear to listen more. He shrugs at the strange thing but gets it ready to take more notes as they all step inside.
You all enter into a large, spacious room with long benches arranged horizontally in front of you. You can see a ladder at the left in the corner near where you are that leads up towards a trap door which you assume leads to the roof. At the far end of the room is a stage about one step high with a podium to one side. On each side of the stage there are two doors. From the left most going to the right, they are labelled "Mayor's Office", "Treasury Office", "Secretary's Office", and "Cleaning Closet". The hall looks to be big enough to house about a thousand or so people. The room looks like a sort of function or meeting hall, and you all notice that there are some long, rectangular tables set aside to the right. As you all walk in, the woman closes the door and turns towards you before asking for all of you to sit down on a nearby bench.
Maev, you notice a small stack of stools near the door. They looks very dusty but sturdy enough to carry the weight of man.
The woman looks at all of you and says: "If I am correct to assume, you all are adventurers, right? Good then. I'm Adelbertha nic Floinn, secretary of the town's mayor. I can answer some of the questions you want to ask, but the ones I cannot answer you can ask to the mayor. Sound good? Well, mister...uh... Bayrith? Is that your name?"
She looks at all of you before her eyes stop at Maev.
"That's his name right? Anyways, to answer your queries here are the short versions: first, the men were mining in the mines. Second, no animals were affected, strangely. Lastly, none of our food was affected as well. The specific details, I'll leave that to the mayor to say. Is that all? If that's all, I can lead you to the mayor's office.

From the way she's speaking, you can tell she knows something more about the town's predicament. You also note that there was some notions of relief when she opened the door to see all of you.
Maev, you notice a small stack of stools near the door. They looks very dusty but sturdy enough to carry the weight of man... Bayrith? Is that your name?" She looks at all of you before her eyes stop at Maev. "That's his name right?
Maev looks at the stools and runs a finger over their layer of dust but does not sit, instead wanders about looking around the room. When Adelbertha turns her eyes on Maev, the Hedge Witch just gives her a coy smile, "yes, of course, it is his name, I already told you his name... all our names since no one was taking a moment to make proper introductions I took it upon myself to help things along a wee bit, I do hope you don't mind." With that said, Maev falls silent and waits like everyone else to be led to see the Mayor...
She leads you all to the door with the sign that says "Mayor's Office" and knocks on the door a few times.
"Cough. Cough. Who is it?"
"Sir, there are people here who wish to see you. They're asking about the mines and about the curse."
"Send them in."
Adelbertha then opens the door and you see a small room with a desk in the middle and bookshelves with various books and ledgers attached to the wall. Behind the desk is a large open window with wind billowing in. A man sits behind the desk, looking over a series of papers and maps while wiping off some snot dripping off his nose with a white hankerchief. He spots all of you and smiles a bit.
"Greetings. Have a seat. We have much to discuss."
He then gestures towards the two chairs that are in front of the desk as well as two stools that are at the corner.
The first thing you note is how organized everything is. The books on the shelves are all arranged not just in alphabetical order but by category as well. You note ledgers that have also been color coded. Based on what, you don't know. Then you look at the mayor. As he sits there smiling, you see that he is just as sick as everyone else. He is a man with black hair that's long enough to touch the tip of his ears and he wears what seems to be a combination of a leather vest and a cotton shirt. He looks very young, maybe about the same age as Adelbertha.
"Mayor, everyone else we've talked to said this strange cloud came from the mine. What caused it? Was it a creature or something else?"
"Please, slow down mister dwarf. I will tell you all that has happened to our town. I thank all of you for showing interest to help our little home. As you can see, we have been in need of outside assistance for some time. Let me introduce myself. I am Alban. Alban mac Furchad, mayor of Delving. Our town gets its profit from the iron that we get from the mines. We get the iron and sell it to various cities and they pay us a hefty sum for it. A few days ago, based on eyewitness accounts, one of the miners had struck something and released a green fog cloud that traveled and spread across the town. Afterwards, we had gotten sick. The town's two priests tried their best to cure us all but it would seem that this sickness is not natural. We had to close the mine for further investigation but no one was willing or capable enough to actually go and find the source. That is where you fellows come in. I ask that you go and check the mines to see what it was that had caused our plight. Me and Adelbertha here have agreed some time ago that we will pay 10 gold to anybody who could help us by removing this plague. Do you accept our request?"

Fionn cocks his head amusingly watching Bayrith and Rosado while watching the woman through slightly slitted eyes
Laissez les bons temps rouler
For a few moments the woman just stares blankly at all of you. This goes on for a few minutes before she shakes her head and begins speaking.
"I'm so sorry about that. Ummm... uhhhh... could you all please come inside?"
She then gestures for all of you to enter.
Fionn enters taking a quick look around the room

Bayrith takes a quick glance at the bookshelves then says half to Fionn, half to everyone else.
"Hhhmmm, just basics. I've read them all already."
He then goes behind the mayor's desk to stand next to him with his note book.
"Mayor, everyone else we've talked to said this strange cloud came from the mine. What caused it? Was it a creature or something else?"
