When you looked out of your bedroom after waking up at the Sour Barnacle and saw the musician playing a violin nearby on the street, you believe he would be a member of your faction and likely a good source of information. You will pass by the Sour Barnacle again on your way to the commercial district.

"Sounds like we're going to the fun part of town!", Ban happily states as she jaunts along.
OOC: With the Criminal background, I have access to a network of less than reputable people. Additionally, rogues have access to thieves cant. Perhaps we'll come across some markings left by said less than reputable people with warnings/tips.
As we walk to the shop Xander will ask the group for help. "I need some help with a problem after we're done getting supplies. It seems information I need is near the bad part of town. If you could just walk with Ban and I would appreciate it."
if Milo can hear what Xander is asking:
As soon as Milo hears that, he turns around. "Oh...Do I hear right? You need some kind of Information? Sounds like an interesting story. Maybe i can help! I'm a bard who travel a lot. I know many people and stuff. What kind of Information do you need?" He seems to be really interested. But well...he really often looks interested.
OOC: Necmo, you know about my background. Do I Know maybe someone from my faction here in this town who i can get the Information (usually bards or people who are in very social positions)? Information is the precious thing for my faction...so if anyone is here it can help. Or maybe i know something myself?
"I like your enthusiasm but I already have a contact, it was just recommend that I travel with a group verse traveling alone. You can accompany if you still want to."
„Are you sure? I have some friends who can be asked. I think they can know something and you don’t have to go there.“ He looks sceptical at you. „But if you really want to Go there i will come with you. I never say no to an adventure“
"It's fine... Let's hurry with the deliveries. We are on borrowed time." Xander will walk ahead of the group to the shop.
"Like i said, i will follow and help you in that part of the town, but you really need to relax mister, they'll be waiting for us, We are to important." Milo looks to Ban "You seem to know him. Is he always so grumpy? He should really learn to calm down. It's not very healthy to live like this."
As you all make your way to the Pig Iron Piton, you all manage to catch up with Milo through the busy street, cart in tow. The activity in town has picked up a bit as it's now roughly 8am. Passing by the Sour Barnacle, you pick up a barrel of ale and rum from one of Leofir's assistants outside.
Milo, you notice the musician is not in the same spot, but you believe he may have gone near the town center (where you're all going now) to take advantage of the busier atmosphere. However, you can't be sure.
As you all continue through the city, you all notice more people selling all sorts of wares from street stalls ranging from fish and vegetables, to poorly crafted jewelry and accessories. The wooden beams on the ground give way to solid earth as you get deeper into the town. On the fringes of the commercial district, there is a unpleasant miasma in the air as you pass by less well-off, small shops made from different types of wood and generally poorly constructed such as a tannery, butchers, bakeries, and small general stores. Walking near the center of town, you see more higher end shops made of stone or brick and also notice a more substantial town watch presence. The majority of people in this area of town look like they have a livable income and a few people passing through look to be part of the upper class.
The group arrives at the Pig Iron Piton, it is a decent looking shop on the exterior and made from nicer lumber than most buildings you've seen in town. There is a sign hanging from the side of the building is crafted in the shape of a spike with a hole on one end. There is a space to leave your cart and a guard nearby to watch it. Walking inside, the dwarf Stennar Stoneshaft greets all of you, "Ah good to see you all again! I remember seein' you all after gettin' through the West gate. Happy you're all sailin' together. Anyway, you must have an order from your captain, let's get it filled so you can be on your way."He takes the parchment that Quint gave you, overlooks it and calls for an assistant to fill your order. "Ah, you're all with Quint eh? He has quite the reputation for bein' one of the finest captains in the land. You all are fortunate. If there's anything else you be needin', the credit limit for each of you is 15 gold for individual purchases, don't worry the city of Black Root will cover it."His assistant begins carrying things outside to be placed on your cart.
Looking around the shop as your order is being filled, you see a pretty wide range of goods such as rations, adventuring gear, trinkets, a small selection of simple potions, tools, and some simple weapons and light armor such as padded and leather armor, bows and arrows, clubs and staffs, and some daggers, among other things. Better weapons and armor that requires more smithing skill such as swords, medium and heavy armor, or spears are likely found at the Rusty Nail which is a bit out of the way from your current position in town, but can easily make your way there on your way back to the docks.
There are all sorts of shops on the same block including Shaa's Trinkets & Herbs for more expensive potions and most things of the arcane nature. (If anyone heads off to the potions/arcane shop) Shaa is an elf sorcerer and has a wide variety of magical items like components, potions, and other odds & ends. She greets you with a "Welcome. What will you have?"then will bid you good day if you need nothing further.
Stennar's assistant finishes up filling Quint's order and waits to see if anyone makes any purchases. The guard is outside by your cart waiting for the group to retrieve it.
OOC: Use this opportunity to make any purchases for yourselves. Stennar is not much for rumor or information as he's strictly a neutral merchant and doesn't concern himself with the business of others. If you are looking for more intricate weapons or something magical, then they can be found at the Rusty Nail or Shaa's. Just go ahead and indicate what you purchase and if you got it from Stennar or Shaa then add it to your character sheet, if it is over 15g then pay the difference. There are all manner of shops on the block, so if you need anything else then there is a shop for it. Just indicate where you go (tailor, jeweler, etc.) and what you purchase so we can move on to the Rusty Nail so Xander can meet his contact there. Ban with your background, from the sound of things the Rusty Nail is likely a good place to find symbols and markings for any potential thievery activity.
Edit: I forgot to mention, use the PHB price for equipment, minus the 15g of credit that each of you have. If you are selling used equipment, Stennar will purchase it from you—use the rules in the PHB for more information on selling used equipment.
"Greetings, Mister. On the high seas it should get cold by the wind and we will certainly encounter many dangers. Not that I'm afraid of that, don't get me wrong! But a halfling knows when to protect himself better! Would you have leather armor in my size? Studded Leather would be nice? Do you have something like that?" As he talks he lets his wallet sound a bit (reinforced by a Minor illusion) to show him that he will pay the difference.
OOC: If he have it, Milo will buy a studded Leather armor. and if yes: Is the Price the normal market Price from the PHB? (45 gp)

You all retrieve the filled cart with everything on the list and make your way to the Rusty Nail. You obviously are headed into a rougher part of town as there are fewer guards, people giving you suspicious looks, and there are no people from the middle or upper class around. The Rusty Nail is near the Boil and it's an open barn shaped shop. Inside there is a human male hammering an axe on an anvil. You pull the cart into a covered spot safely out of site. He recognizes you instantly and says "Greetings, Leodel said you might stop by. My name is Seth Appleby. If you're needing weapons or armor, I have it."
He will take any purchases that you need. It is nearly Noon.
Seth turns to Xander and says, "And you must be the one looking for your siblings. I may have seen them in the Boil on my last trip, but I'm not positive. I told Leodel I would lead you through the Boil to where they would be if they were in town. We can head there right away if you wish, as it is nearly time for the midday break and it's far safer during the day."
"Aye, this should suffice."He pulls down a set of studded leather and sells it to you.
OOC: Yes use the prices out of the PHB minus the 15g of credit. If you intend to trade in used equipment, use the rules indicated there as well. We're using the honor system for gold so please keep track of it yourselves.

Everyone as Xander is speaking with Seth, you all faintly hear commotion from behind his shop and then see a young boy run in the shop.
"Help! My mother is being robbed! Please hurry!"He frantically motions outside and looks quite distraught.
As Milo promised, he's with Xander.
"Calm down little guy. We will help you. No one should say that Milo is afraid of helping a child and his mother!" He makes a heroic pose, then he looks to the others "You're gonna help, right?" and goes out of the Rusty Nail
