Devious serpent folk devoid of compassion, yuan-ti manipulate other creatures by arousing their doubts, evoking their fears, and elevating and crushing their hopes. From remote temples in jungles, swamps, and deserts, the yuan-ti plot to supplant and dominate all other races and to make themselves gods.
Background:Criminal (Burglar) Alignment: Chaotic Good Languages: Common, Draconic, Elvish
Personality Traits: I don’t pay attention to the risks in a situation. Never tell me the odds. I always have a plan for what to do when things go wrong. Ideals: People. I’m loyal to my friends, not to any ideals, and everyone else can take a trip down the Styx for all I care. (Neutral) Bonds: I will become the greatest thief that ever lived. Flaws: I have a “tell” that reveals when I’m lying. I turn tail and run when things look bad.
Backstory: Nikolai, for as long as he could remember, had fended for himself in the world. He had no memory of his parents. From the age of eight he lived on the streets, stealing anything of value, for selling, or for his own consumption. He quickly mastered the basic techniques of burglary. By the age of sixteen, he was an expert at breaking into heavily guarded locations, stealing priceless valuables. Outgrowing his interests, Nikolai decided to put his talents to use for thieve's guilds in nearby cities. After three years of service in six different thieve's guilds, Nikolai decided that their wasn't enough to gain from this, choosing to take up treasure hunting as a profession.

Tamba Runegraven was alone since the start. Abandoned to the wilderness by his mother for no better reason than the color of his skin, he survived by his wits alone. Even after this introduction to the world, or perhaps because of it, Tamba swore to whatever gods of the wilderness might be listening that he would be a protector, a hero he never had. He would let his own conscience guide him, rather than the twisted and untrustworthy laws of man. He made his way back into the civilized world only to find it full of corruption and evil. Scarred by this experience, Tamba fled back into the wild. There he made contact with the earth kami, the elemental spirits of earth. They gave him great power, and Tamba returned to the world of men, wiser and stronger. Tamba is a sworn defender, a protector to all and a friend of the wild. He has since engraved his name not just in stone but in the minds of the oppressed, the beaten-down, the hopeless. He is Tamba Stonegraven, The Defender!
Personality Traits: I am a commanding, bold warrior. I am the wall, and you must first get through me if you wish harm on any living being. Ideals: In the end, the murderer and the king are but dust on another's sandals. Ideal 2: Back your words with actions, lest they become empty shells. Bonds: The earth kami. They whisper to me many secrets, and I heed them. Flaws: I am trusting to the point of foolishness.
P.S, I will be using a character sheet on OrcPub if my character is selected. Hoping that will not be a problem! :) Also needed two ideals to keep up with this guy!
Availability: I can post quite often. At the very least I should be able to post once a day, but realistically, I can do much more often.
Favorite movie: The Prestige.
Anyhow, here's my character idea!
Name: Raui O-aurë
Race: Wood Elf
Alignment: Lawful Good
Faith: Comes from a temple who worshiped Lathander. However, if you are not using the forgotten realms pantheon, any god of good alignment with a strong light or sun theme would work for him.
Class: Monk
Background: Acolyte
Personality Traits: I'm always willing to lend a helping hand. Nothing can shake my optimistic attitude.
Ideal: Change. We must help bring about the changes the gods are constantly working in the world, and I can help do that by fighting against evil.
Bond: I would gladly die for the cause of good.
Flaw: My piety sometimes leads me to blindly trust those that profess faith in my god. I'm not always the most careful, either.
Basic Backstory: For most of Raui's 103 years, he has been a member of a small temple of Lathander, god of the dawn, renewal, rebirth, vitality, and etc. This has shaped Raui into the person he is today, someone who recognizes that no one is perfect, but will not tolerate real evil. He has just stepped into adulthood, and is now making his way in the world.
In Playing: Raui would be a friendly character willing to work with even what he would see as "unsavory" characters for the purpose of helping stop whatever evil lurks in the dungeons. He is brave but not stupidly so, and would be willing to follow plans made by others. He's not really cut out to be a leader, but he wouldn't be the absolute worst for the job.
I am interested in joining this I can post a few times a day.
Favorite movies(Can't Choose one): Cloud Atlas, Jurassic Park, Men In Black
Name: Reck
Race: Half-orc
Class: Fighter
Alignment: Lawful Good
Faith: Bahamut or any god of order and Justice if using a different pantheon
Background: Soldier
Personality Traits:I’ve lost too many friends, and I’m slow to make new ones. I can stare down a hell hound without flinching.
Ideals: Greater Good. Our lot is to lay down our lives in defense of others. Responsibility. I do what I must and obey just authority.
Bonds: I’ll never forget the crushing defeat my company suffered or the enemies who dealt it. Those who fight beside me are those worth dying for.
Flaws: The monstrous enemy we faced in battle still leaves me quivering with fear.
Backstory:
Reck Fought alongside a group of human soldiers in return for being rescued as an orphan from his brutal orc clan. His fellow orcs treated him as if he were scum since his father was a human. He was no runt but he always stuck out. Reck learned to fight quick growing up with his orc clan and showed his worth in his new military family quickly. Reck was rescued from his clan by a group of paladins serving Bahumut, if not for being on display upon a stake desperate for his life Reck would have been slaughtered along with his clan. Reck was raised by clerics of Bahamut and earned a place in military service through the church's vouch for him. Reck was taugh to treat any unit he was placed with it as if it was his own family and he would protect any of them with his life. Due to his roots fear is not something that comes easily to Reck and he will not back down in the face of most enemies. However there was a Planetar serving the evil dragon Tiamat that killed the entire platoon Reck had been serving with after being sent on a crusade by the church of Bahamut. Due to his need to be at the front of the battle Reck was knocked unconscious at the start of this battle awakening cover in blood with broken bones to the Planetar, Jessiah, torturing his commander for information. Not being able to bear the sight Reck struggled to his feet and attempted to attack Jessiah. Jessiah merely held out a hand and stopped Reck in his tracks using magic to charm him, heal him, and send him back to his church to bring word of what had happened here and never to attempt to get in the way of Tiamat's will again. The nightmares of the slaughter haunt him to this day. Having lost many previous soldier allies in the past and this entire platoon, containing a couple of the paladins that rescued him from his clan, Reck is slow to trust. However once his trust is earned his will defend any ally to the death always putting his friends first and his own life second.
(Sorry no had a little trouble formatting other spoiler has his name class and what not)
Wow! You have to be quick to get in on adventures around here.
I’ve developed stories for a couple of different Forest Gnomes. Either one should be helpful. Rimple the Ranger or Gerbo the Wizards Apprentice. These guys are often tasked with running errands for the rest of Forest Gnome village, and actually go visit some of their Rock Gnome cousins who live outside the city. Rimple makes super comfortable shoes for his friends as a hobby. Gerbo likes to draw maps and scribe scrolls.
The Gnomes are helpful, but shy, being little folk from the forest. These guys are both brave, though, and either one should prove to be a capable adventurer.
Hey everyone, thanks for the interest, recruiting is closed for the moment, but if we need more I will come back and comb through all of you worthy adventurers!
Leaving this here for future reference if you need someone else!
Thor the Cleric of the Forge. This Iluskan joined the army to get out of the small no name tribal village in the North looking to see the world. Worked hi way up through the ranks, the army dismissed him since he served his time. Thor couldn't get enough adventure though and started taking odd jobs as a body guard for powerful and rich people.
I have a homebrew character I've been wanting to try out for a bit :)
Name: 339760
Nickname: Tris
Race: Aloii
Class: Ornithologist
Alignment: NG
About her: I've spent my entire life researching birds and their uses in combat for my makers. I do not remember them but my purpose is always at the forefront of my mind. The path to power and self-improvement is through knowledge. What is beautiful points us beyond itself toward what is true. Emotions must not cloud our logical thinking. Nothing should fetter the infinite possibility inherent in all existence. I am easily distracted by the promise of information. Most people ignore birds. I stop and take notes on them.
Backstory: Tris was made by a group of Genasi scientists (shared backstory for all Aloii) for the purpose of studying the applications of birds in combat. She initially traveled to libraries in search of aviary knowledge, but recently (depending on level), she started exploring beyond the constraints of city life. A colleague who was killed in an accident left her a rough drawing of a bird-like creature* and a little bit of information on it. Tris' search for this bird has brought her into a few scuffles, but for the most part, she's been able to fend attackers off with her birds.
*it's actually a couatl but flavor texted to look more bird-like
If you're still looking for players, I'm usually available daily, though weekends usually vary.

When I make a life cleric, his name is always Grigor Kulenov in honor of my first character. I've decided to play as my backup.
