Tamba
Following Nikolai's lead you swing your mace. It connects with a loud thud.
Raui
You drop back into your martial form and let out two swift strikes. They are ineffective against the beast though as you cannot quite make contact.

I thought it was only if you can't see your target?
OOC: Right. What I was thinking of was that the lingering injuries section in the DMG gives you disadvantage on ranged attack rolls if you lose one eye. That's optional, though (I think).
OOC: that is correct, in side initiative, you may go in any order, but do only go once. It can be very fun and very dangerous. You can whittle my monsters down with a full round barrage, or my monsters can do a number on you guys the same way. But it is way easier for this forum.
All of the attacks, after Tamba's powerful blast, clang off of the dungeon wall as the creature scurries up.

Raui was studying the room, but now he turns.
He lets out an involuntary gasp of surprise, and sprints towards the nearest of the beasts, attempting to bring his bo staff down on its head with both hands.
Attack: 13 Damage: 10
Raui then kicks at it with a smooth motion.
Attack: 13 Damage: 4
And that's all I have to say about that.

OOC: I've never used side initiative like this. Can any player now go in any order, or are we now in this order?
If we can go in any order now,
IC: Raui runs across the floor to the nearest creature, swinging his staff at it.
Attack: 13 Damage: 5
The staff hits harmlessly off of the creature's hide. Raui punches at the creature in frustration.
Attack: 14 Damage: 5
His fist connects solidly.
And that's all I have to say about that.

Still getting used to his new eye patch, Taliesin throws his dagger and misses by quite a bit...
And that's all I have to say about that.

Raui turns from the wall.
"I think I hit one, but where are they....?" he asks aloud as he looks upward.
Perception check: 21
IF Raui sees one:
Raui pulls from his pack a thin, circular piece of metal that fits in the palm of his hand.
He throws it upwards. The disk spins as it flies towards the ceiling towards one of the creatures.
Attack: 22 Damage: 4
Hit or miss, Raui then steps out of range of the creatures.
IF Raui doesn't see one, he takes the dodge action, still looking around at the ceiling.
And that's all I have to say about that.
Taliesin prepares to dodge.
