Zachariah is right now only wanting to pick up a water catcher and bug spray (since that is what was suggested). He will follow along anyone who says they're headed that way. If they get to a potion shop, he may decide to get a potion. Along the way, if he sees any beggars, he will give a GP to each up until he is out of gold. He currently has 60 gold and will give each a GP, even if it means he runs out and doesn't have what he needs to buy a water catcher or bug spray (DM's prerogative on how many beggars he sees).
Krav is also only looking for a water catcher and bug spray, and will also tag along if anyone goes to a shop selling those. Afterwards, he'll head to the Thundering Lizard.
Elvoril brings the party to the Red Bazaar. No one knows how the Red Bazaar got its name. One story is that the label comes from the huge slabs of dinosaur meat sold here and the resulting buckets of blood that stain the rain-washed gutters, and that’s probably as good an explanation as any.
The residents of Port Nyanzaru shop for their daily needs at the Red Bazaar: locally produced meat, vegetables, tropical fruit, tej, light tropical clothing, insect repellent, rain catchers, and other household goods. You spend about 2 hours going from stall to stall, merchant to merchant, looking for the items that you need. You find it all with ease. One thing you notice while you are shopping in the Bazaar to the north is a large stone structure. It is the Grand Coliseum. A place where Gladiator games, Dinosaur races, the circus and other events are held.
There are stalls for animals, A dinosaur merchant is here that sells dinosaurs that you could use as beasts of burden. There is a canoe merchant that sells (You guessed it, Canoes) for 50 gold a canoe.
You can find any of the adventurings equipment from the players' handbook at the Red Bazaar. (Rain Catcher, Insect Repellant-Salve are in DnD Beyond under those names) So add the items to your character sheet, add up all the money, if you're buying it yourself with your own money subtract it. If you guys are using the Party Gems, add it all up subtract it from 1000 and that's how much coins you will have left that you can divvy up amongst yourselves. You will be responsible for putting everything on your character sheet and making sure all the money is accounted for.
As for Magic items, You can buy healing potions for 80 gold pieces, Any 1st level spell in scroll form for 100 gold, Any 2nd level spell in scroll form for 550 gold, Magical Ammunition at 50 gold pieces apiece, +1 wooden shield 450 gold, +1 common weapons 550 gold. Prices are non-negotiable.
Tap followed the group towards the shopping district, stopping them when they began to try to pay with their own funds. "One thousand gold pieces. With this, you can supply yourself with whatever you feel you may need for your adventure," he said before surreptitiously patting the part of his bag the chest of gems was hidden in.
"Also--we can just ask--a guide--for--any recommendations." If there's one thing Kenku's learned early, it was that if they wanted to survive in a new area, it was best to get ideas from those that lived there longest.

A guide you will deal with when you guys go to the Thundering Lizard. Guides will be the next days adventure. Elvoril knows the layout of the town and can bring you to any shop you need to go to for the day to get whatever supplies you want.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Tap bought supplies, new clothes for traveling and performing, then headed to the Thundering Lizard which sounded like more his audience. After changing into his new performance attire, which included one of the multi-colored feathered capes he saw earlier, Tap approached the bartender:
"Hello sir, I was wondering if you'd like some--[sound of viol playing]--for you and your guests this evening in exchange for free room and board?" He said to the bartender, copying Ahkmenos tactic, and voice, from the previous day (he hoped for a better end result). When the bartender agreed, Tap grabbed his viol and took the small stage.
if we buy a water catcher, insect repellent salve and repellent incense for everyone that’s 18g and 8 silver. I’m ok having a couple potions for our party to carry in case but we should agree before we spend a large chunk of our assets on what is best going to help us on our quest. We should consult and hire a guide to see their price and the. We might need to buy canoes so that should be our next task.

This won't happen until I post when you go into the Thundering Lizard and one of the other party members was going to the other Inn. That will be later on after you guys talk about what you are buying, add on your costs, subtract it etc... You can always go back and buy more supplies after you hire/talk to a guide.
OOC - I assume that with his scales Vart is immune to the many and varied biting insects. At least I've never seen a Komodo dragon or goanna worry about mosquitos and flies.

Zachariah saddles up to Greggor, smiling self-consciously, as the group is led to the Red Bazaar by Elvoril. "Sir, I have lived months on my own, away from my monastery, once or twice struggling to find food and shelter, but always in cities. God has taken good care of me. I am blessed beyond measure to be here with so much gold in my pocket and surrounded by so many souls I might win for the Lord." He looks at the ground for a breath and then back at the human. "This task of planning for our journey — knowing what to buy ... I'm not the best at planning. I would be forever grateful if you would help me purchase what I will need. I will be most happy to compensate you for your trouble. I'm a good student and will remember what you teach me, but ... my tutors were always frustrated with my ability to anticipate the unknown."
OOC: Rebaskrad, Zachariah decided to approach Greggor because he's tall (Zachariah's just two inches taller than Greggor) and a human, the race he's most comfortable around. And you got his attention with your little trouble with your supper after you arrived. I know you said Greggor isn't good with money, but Zachariah doesn't know that and probably wouldn't notice if Greggor is willing to help. Greggor does notice Zachariah has his armor, shield, and hammer (all he'd need for battle), and a pack with the typical adventuring gear (bedroll, some rations, rope, waterskin, etc.). He just needs the extra stuff for the task in the jungle.
"May I join with you as we search for supplies. I am not sure what others will think of me and this place is very crowded. My temple has ????(says words in a foreign language) ah yes provided me with everything they think I will need, but you never know".
OOC - Vart always keeps his hood up. He does appear to have all the necessary equipment, with a fully equipped backpack festooned with with bedroll, rope, torches, etc.

Annoyed, Kaslo swats at some biting insects. "Yes, insect repellent is also an excellent idea"

After buying his items, Krav applies one layer of insect repellant salve and attempts to make his way to the Thundering Lizard.
And that's all I have to say about that.
While at the Bazaar, Kaslo buys some basic healing potions, lots of insect salve, and a rain catcher.
"I for one, will be staying at Kaya’s house tonight, not the Thundering Lizard. I value a good sleep over a good time."
You just spent 320 gold of the party's money on healing potions. Are you sure everyone is okay with that?
