The coyote chips a canine on the shield as Tandor backs up enough to blast it with holy radiance, the glow so bright that the coyote becomes luminous, the glow gradually fading from its slumped remains, the fur bleached white where the globe of light impacted.
The last coyote hastily gets to its feet and slinks away from Trencher, eyes warily on the angry dwarf's weapon, and once out of the furious fellow's reach, it turns and swiftly limp-runs after its departed companion.
One dead coyote, two fled, and in a direction that doesn't make them likely to circle around and make another attempt on the farmer that was whisked away by LadyDre and Proclaimer Ward with the assistance of the druids.

The pelt of the downed coyote is rusty brown except for where it was light-bleached by the blast of radiant energy from Tandor. The cleric was either lucky enough, or had the foresight for Trenchers sartorial aspirations to center the blast in the chest of the beast, so it spreads onto the forelegs symmetrically, and would certainly add a flair to a garment that a unbleached pelt would not. And given the size of the beast, fully the length if not the height of a horse, there's plenty of material to work with.
((Survival check if he's wanting to skin it?))
Mixtli pushes through the vegetation, to spot the wagon in the distance, Lady Dre's hands on the reins and Proclaimer Ward, Kora and the other druids on high alert, weapons and spells at the ready. They all relax when they see him walking towards them vs running with coyotes at their back.
"Ya'll finish 'em, or there more of the damn pests to be put down? Gimme an axe and I'll chop 'em down to size!", the old farmer splutters in an angry drawl.

Tandor walks alongside the wagon. A moment later, he winces slightly as Gilbert trots out of the underbrush, a field mouse twitching feebly in his jaws. Noticing the expression on the cleric's face, he sends, What? You chose the cat form, not me. Besides, I like the taste of meat. With that, he sets the kill down and begins to dig in.
Tandor just shakes his head. Then he eyes his patient from before, making certain the old farmer is doing well. Seeing that he is, he asks, "Tell me...that's not a common occurrence, is it, the coyotes?"
"Coyotes? Yeah, those'uns are a problem alright, but they come and go. Numbers get to where we'll round up some folks and hunt them down, guessin' it's about that time! Uncle Polder insists on walking, now that he's safe from the coyotes (and healed thanks to Tandor), his ambling gait preceding the horses and wagon. He leads you shortly out of the crop fields, and up a rise to his farmhouse, other similar farmhouses nearby in the part of the Rattle, likely clustered together for mutual work and protection. His seems to be older, and a bit larger than the others, though it is not exorbitant by non-Rattle standards, being of a simple if well made wood-frame, single story building. The large porch wrapping across the front and side of the building does more to set it apart, and in addition to a large chair with curved runners, there are many three legged stools stacked along the edge of the porch. The more insightful among you might glean that Uncle Polder's porch is a place of community gathering.
He points out a well and trough for watering the horses in what might approximate a village square, and enters his house, clattering around a bit before returning with some stoneware mugs, a pitcher of cool water, and some dense, flavorful bread.
While taking you to his place, he's kept up a colorful commentary, though most of it has been stories of his youth (the coyotes were both more numerous and bigger then!), but as he settles into his rocking chair and gestures for you to be seated on the stools if you wish, turns to more current events.
"So, what brings you folks out this way, visiting the druid grove? Can't say I see too many headed this far up-Rattle.", he asks with a smile, nodding at Kora and her companions.

"Well, we had some trouble back that way, some farmers acting the fool. Worse, really. They attacked some folks and these were not people known to be violent. We stopped them," Tandor indicates himself and his friends, "and were able to figure out they were being affected in some way." Tandor goes on to provide a detailed description of what happened and why they came here. As he tells the tale, he keeps a careful eye on Uncle Polder, to judge his reaction. Is he surprised? If so, by what part? Is the tale shocking but not as shocking as it should be. Expected? Any reaction at all will provide more information. As he begins the tale, Gilbert trots up, curling up unobtrusively in a spot from which he can observe Uncle Polder, to aid in this review.
ooc: Do you want Insight and, if so, can Gilbert provide the Help action?
Uncle Polder idly extends a scritching finger towards Gilbert as he listens raptly to Tandor's oratorial recounting of the attack in Promise. Gilbert makes a show of reluctance at standing up, stretching and sauntering over and rewarding the old fellow with the privilege of scratching behind his ears.

Trencher watches the coyotes flee. He takes some deep breaths and seems to be calming down from his fighting high.
"Well, that was something. Anyone badly hurt?" He then looks around at his fellows to make sure all are ok.
Once he is sure no one has been direly injured, he goes to collect the coyote bodies and looks to see how nice the pelts are.
"See these, very easy to work these animals into fine pelts and then warm clothing is not many steps away!"

Anyone paying even slight attention can tell that Trencher is very happy for the animal pelts.
