Nemean wakes early the next day, he is once again filled with an energy he had not felt before. He grooms himself fastidiously, paying particular attention to his fur and his bright mane. He dresses in his most extravagant clothes, straps his scimitars to his sides and ventures about town. There were many of his old friends and allies he planned on catching up with.
He goes to Barthen's Provisions and presents the fine gold pieces he found in the castle. "Good morning my friend," he says to Elmer, "I was hoping to sell this golden finery, does it look like something that would interest you?" He haggles with him a bit hoping to get the best price, but plans on selling the plates to Elmer today. Once they are able to strike a deal he heads out, eager for his next stop.
Nemean enters the Shrine of Luck and greets Sister Garaele warmly. "Hello there Sister Garaele" he says with a smile. "I wanted to check in with you after all that has happened... we took Cragmaw Castle, at great cost, and now we seek to thwart the Black Spider and his designs on the old mines of Phandalin. In case this time it is I who do not return, I wanted the Harpers to know of this evil." After a few minutes of discussing his next adventure, Nemean turns the conversation to lighter topics, he tells Garaele of his new companions and they share a few jokes at the expense of Townmaster Harbin. He places 20gp in the offering plate before taking a deep bow and continues his stops about town.
He stops at Alderleaf Farm around lunch time and speaks with Qulline and Carp. He tells them of his tale and how they met Reidoth, and the sad fate of the Phandalin Four. He stays with them a bit and thanks the Alderleafs for their support and continues on his way.
Nemean will then find his new friends and heads over to Tresendar Manor and checks in with his friend Droop. He inspects the Manor and will lightly chastise Droop for not making more progress. He jokes with him and introduces him to his companions. He tells them all they are welcome to use the Manor as their base of operations against the Black Spider. He gives them a brief tour and after relaxing a bit, he suggests they head over to the Townmaster's Hall to meet with Harbin Wester and Sildar Hallwinter. He then proceeds to complain about the wretched smell that seems to be constantly emanating from Harbin, and speculates wildly and at length about what might be the source of it.

Nimble enjoys getting to know his new companions. Nemean is a hero to most in the town and Nimble is happy to be associated with the one remaining member of the Phandalin four. In his free time he will wander over to Barthen's Provisions and buy 5 days of rations along with 20 caltrops.
He follows Nemean to Tresendar Manor to see what the old Redband hangout is all about. Droop seems to be enjoying the old Manor but could use help fixing the place up. He will offer 5 GP to help the cause and is excited to use the manor as a base of operations.
He is ready to defend the citizens and works with the new group to come up with a good plan against the Black Spider.
"Nemean!" Elmar Barthen rushes to the door when the party arrives at his shop. The wrinkles on his kind face crease with worry. "Word has spread quickly. You found Gundren, and brought him back, but at such cost! You have my sincerest gratitude and apologies."
"Ander, fetch the caltrops for me, and Thistle, grab the rations," he tells his young workers. The boys quickly return with the requested supplies. "I'm afraid we don't carry any magical stock," Elmar tells Tochi.
He lays Nemean's golden objects out carefully on the counter, examining them closely. "I've done my share of art appraisals in my day," he says. "These are human-made, and made for art, not function. This is pure gold, too soft to be useful for dining ware." After some minor discussion on the price, the exchange is made; 60 gold pieces for the knife, 120 gold pieces for the censer, and 150 gold pieces for the chalice.

Sister Garaele places her hand on Nemean's shoulder at the news. "I am so sorry," the young elf says, turning his chin to look into his eyes. "This hurt you more than physically. I can see it in your face. I will share this news with my contacts in Neverwinter. You are representing the Harpers well."
She smiles when Nemean places more gold in the offering plate. "That you are still with us shows Tymora's favor on you. May the lady of luck continue to do so."

"Well I'm glad that Reidoth was able to help you out. Been around a long time, that one. That dragon sounds like nasty business though, I hope he'll be alright over there. You think we should be worried, though? We got enough on our hands with a dragon deciding he wants to ruin our day," she comments.
She mourns the loss of the Phandalin Four, though the impact doesn't seem to have hit Carp's young mind as of yet. "You all were too good to us. The whole town is in your debt, always will be. The Redbrands would have taken it all for themselves if you hadn't stepped in, and we all see Harbin for the coward he is now. If you ask me, Halia's fit to be townmaster at the next election. A real tough one, she is, and she never backed down from Glasstaff, neither."

The ground floor of Tresendar Manor is still in ruins, but it is clear that Droop has worked hard in the cellar beneath. The caked blood on the ground in many places has been cleared, as has the presence of the bugbears' room, which Droop has turned into his own living quarters. "This where Droop made to lick floor, but now Mosk dead and Droop take his bed!" he proclaims proudly. "Still much to do! Droop leave wizard room alone, not want to die. It still look nice though, so I take red men beds and put them by wizard bed! You strong enough to not die, you take, nice place to sleep?" He begs forgiveness from Nemean's chastising, grateful when he reveals he is joking.
The goblin's eyes light up at Nimble's coins. "Droop buy food with coin? Or Droop buy help? Nice bald man at shop been giving Droop food from last coins you gave me. Droop fine with eat rats, but bald man food still good. Maybe bald man help clean!"

"My old sword, before the goblins took me," he explains. "Tarok had it on him. He deserved better. Let us save the mine and free Phandalin of the Black Spider's influence."
Harbin Wester himself is not in the Townmaster's Hall. "He was a joke before the Redbrands, but now that you've erased them from the town, Harbin Wester will never be taken seriously again. He spends most of his time at home now. I think he understands his chances of remaining Townmaster," Sildar explains.
OOC: Inventories have been updated.
Where to next? Is there anything else you would like to do in Phandalin before setting out?
Wave Echo Cave: Gundren Rockseeker has offered you a reward and a 10% share of the mine's wealth if you can locate his brothers Tharden and Nundro, and secure Wave Echo Cave and the power that lies within from the Black Spider.
Thundertree: Reidoth was in Thundertree watching over a dragon that has settled in the ruins of the town, and had also seen men in black masks skulking around the east side of town.
Tochi thanks the storekeepers and readies himself. If he happens upon anyone from the party, he will make it known, that his preferred destination is the Wave Echo Cave, as he intends to kill the Black Spider, sooner or later.
Nimble listens to Tochi. "But we could return to Thundertree and visit this 'Dragon'! Seems like an adventure of a lifetime. I've always dreamed of meeting a dragon on the field of battle." His eyes wander off as if he is playing out a hero's scenario in his mind ... he shakes himself a little as he comes back to reality. "Ok, ok, I agree we need to help Gundren find his brothers first. We go to the Cave. I'm not in it for the reward but I wont turn it down if it comes. I just want this Black Spider put in its place." He smiles.
Nimble waits for the others to put in their wishes and will gather his things when the time comes.
While he finds the Dragon of Thundertree intriguing, Nemean also voices his support for finding and killing the black spider so he can avenge his fallen comrades.
OOC: WOW that was some nice dinnerware we found in the castle, Nemean is happy to use these funds to help finance anything the group needs. Is he able to purchase 2 more healing potions before they depart Phandalin?

The sky is overcast and the air chilly in the foothills of the Sword Mountains. Gundren's directions lead you into these foothills after only a few hours, and just after mid-day, you nearly pass up a narrow tunnel in the side of a hill.
Gundren's notes make this the likely entryway: "Old entrance likely sealed. Thin crack through hills is the new way in. Natural, or did someone else find it?"
Nimble sees the crack in the side of the hill and approaches with caution. He will raise his shield and step inside to see what there is to be found. His natural half-elf dark vision should be enough to allow Nimble to determine the immediate dangers: perception7 if needed
Tochi studies the entrance for a moment, but is unable to find signs of anyone's presence.
Nimble heads into the narrow tunnel. There is no light within, rendering Roland and Tochi effectively blind if they enter.
The entrance tunnel leads into a large cavern supported by a natural pillar of rock and containing three stalagmites. The ceiling is 30 feet above the ground. The walls have been hewn from stone, and the stone floors are smooth but natural. In the western part of the cave, behind the column of rock, are three bedrolls and a heap of ordinary supplies--sacks of flour, bags of salt, casks of salted meat, lanterns, flasks of lamp oil, pickaxes, shovels, and other gear. Amid the supplies is the dead body of a dwarf miner, dead for at least a week.
The northeastern section of the cavern has collapsed, forming a ten-foot-wide, twenty-foot-deep pit. A sturdy hemp rope is tied off around a nearby stalagmite and dangles down the side of the pit, at the bottom of which is a rough-hewn tunnel heading northwest and east.
Nemean turns to Roland and Tochi, "I'll go with Nimble and make sure the coast is clear, you can follow behind us." He offers a torch in case they are in need of one, and then enters the mouth of the cavern behind Nimble, his bow drawn and his hair on end as he stalks through the cavern.
He inspects the surroundings for any signs of enemies, if he sees none he will quietly signal to Nimble and proceed to carefully move against the western wall of the cave, looking carefully for traps or any signs of danger, being careful not to disturb as little as possible.
Tochi will remain behind Nemean, but will pay close attention to him and the surroundings, hoping that he may see something that the Tabaxi has missed.

Nemean inspects the room closely, seeing no signs of traps or enemies. The slight sound of a boom or a crash can be heard from very far in the distance.
Roland pauses for a second, having walked into the pitch darkness and realizing he can't see 5 feet in front of him. "Ah, that won't do at all. Sneakiness must come second to not walking into traps unseen." he says to himself. He walks back toward to entrance and takes out of his pack his Hooden Lantern and pours a Flask of Oil into it and tries to light it with his Tinderbox.

Nimble crouches over the body of the dwarf, examining for a wound, which he finds almost immediately. The dwarf seems to have died from a blow to the head. The hair and skin at the site of the impact appear disfigured and have peeled away, leaving a nasty site of impact.
The dwarf is covered in dirt and wearing simple clothing, but his boots stand out. They seem impeccably made and radiate a mysterious energy.
Roland holds the lantern aloft in his left hand, he walks over next to Nimble and crouches beside him. "Alas, if only we could have gotten here sooner." he says, eyes rolling over the wound on the dwarf's head. He examines the body further, before noticing the boots.
