The goblin drops its bow, falling to the ground before Nemean and sputtering in a mixture of Goblin and broken Common. "Haaraan druuc'd...mech ghaan. Hort not know...what Cell Darr. Klarg...take human and...dwarf. Hort..****y...watch for enemies."
Its breaths are becoming more and more ragged as blood continues to pool around the arrow lodged in its chest.
The wound itself seems to be stabilizing, but the arrow must have done some serious damage internally. The goblin starts to fade, but manages to get out a meager "Klarg....kill...you..." before it breathes its last.
Just inside the cave mouth, a few uneven stone steps lead up to a small, dank chamber on the east side of the passage. The cave is pitch black inside, and without a light source, Bob cannot see any further than the steps.
For Argos, Cinis, Nemean and Tarok (Darkvision):
You can see that the stream and path continue northward past the steps into the cave for 30 feet before winding to the right
Cinis makes his way over to the group by the goblin, staring into the mouth of the cave as he does.
"Tarok, know anything about a Klarg? You were in Phandelver before, right?"
I'm turning out to be the most useless person here. I can't land a spell to save my life. I'm going to have to snap out of this funk or I'm going to get someone killed.
"You guys still intent on heading into that cave? We have no idea how many goblins could be inside, and we'll likely be in close-quarters combat." Cinis says, looking at his companions holding bows.
Maybe I'll be able to actually hit something if I'm closer...

"I haven't heard of a Klarg before. Sounds like a goblin name to me. I think we should go in, our friends are still at the mercy of the other goblins."
Tarok keeps his sword in hand and approaches the cave-mouth. "Should we light a torch for our companion Bob? Humans don't see so well in the pitch dark like this."
OOC: Is there anything I should roll to find out if I have heard of Klarg before?
Bob looks into the cave and see demons and unicorns and giants with 12 arms. I really hope I am not seeing this right, not a big fan of the dark. Tarok is right, I do not see to well in the dark
"Yes a torch does sound like it would be nice, would let me still search for nasty things on the way. A mushrooms, I do wish to have some mushrooms for a soup I want to make.'
"Alright, let's get on with it. Let's have Bob at the rear, this time. I don't want that torch spoiling my night vision. Tarok, you ok taking the lead?" Cinis says as he makes his way to the mouth of the cave.
I'm a fool. And I'm too old for this.

Tarok lights a torch and hands it toBob. Light dances along the natural cavern walls ahead of you, and Bob can now see that the stream and path continue forward into the cave for about 30 feet before winding to the right. Just inside the cave mouth, a few uneven stone steps lead up to a small, dank chamber on the east side of the passage.
OOC: Sorry for the repetition...I'm trying not to railroad you through.
1 Torch has been removed from Tarok's inventory.
If you've been tracking ammunition, thanks, that's a tough one for me to keep up with. Remember you get 50% of your ammunition back after a battle, rounded down.
With Tarok leading the way, you step up into the chamber. This section of the cave narrows to a steep fissure at the far end, and is filled with the stench of animals. Savage snarls and the sounds of rattling chains greet your ears where three wolves are chained up just inside the opening. Each wolf's chain leads to an iron rod driven into the base of a stalagmite.
At the sight of the group, the wolves snarl and snap, but are unable to reach anybody on the steps.
Tracking: You can try to navigate the wolves to reach the fissure at the far end of this room. You can head back down the steps and move north along the stream, where it eventually bends to the right.
The wolves growl as Argos approaches, but upon sensing his calm demeanor, they allow him to cross the room undeterred, turning their attention back to the others on the steps.
For Argos:
A narrow opening in the east wall leads to a natural chimney that climbs around 30 feet. At the base of the fissure is rubbish that's been discarded through an opening above.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Argos calmly backs up to the rest of the group.
"There's some sort of shaft that heads up about thirty feet. I'm not sure what's up there, but it looks like that pile of rubbish at the base was dropped from up there. It could be some sort of central place where the goblins hole up and keep most of their stuff. We should probably move on, up that path to the right, but try to stay quiet."
Argos waits for the others to acknowledge then equips a shortsword in both hands. He then stealthily heads down the path to the right.
OOC: I should have had disadvantage due to the scale mail, so I tried to add another roll but I suppose I messed up and accidentally replaced it. If you want to make another disadvantage roll for me I understand.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Cinis listens as Argos explains the situation ahead and nods at the sound plan, not saying anything for fear of alerting potential enemies in the cave. He follows the dwarf down the path to the right, ready to toss out a Fire Bolt at the slightest disturbance.
The main passage from the cave mouth climbs steeply upward, the stream plunging and splashing down its west side.
As you reach the bend, a side passage leads west across the other side of the stream. This passage is choked with rubble and has steep escarpments.
In the shadows of the ceiling to the north, you can just make out the dim shape of a rickety bridge of wood and rope crossing over the passage ahead of you. This bridge appears to connect a passage that intersects this one, twenty feet above the floor.
Tracking: You can cross the stream and move through the western passage. You can continue along the path towards the bridge.

Nemean nods at Cinis and prowls across the bridge slowly and quietly, scimitars drawn and poised for action. His tail pressed against his back and some of the fur started to stand on end. His hunched posture made him appear ready to burst forward at a moment's notice.
The goblin drops its bow, falling to the ground before Nemean and sputtering in a mixture of Goblin and broken Common. "Haaraan druuc'd...mech ghaan. Hort not know...what Cell Darr. Klarg...take human and...dwarf. Hort..****y...watch for enemies."

Tarok closes on the goblin, and tries to stabilize the wound by putting pressure on it, and if it seems sensible, yank the arrow out.
"We don't have any way of healing him past the mundane. But if we don't stop the bleeding he won't answer many more questions than that."

Cinis looked at the two paths in front of the group as they all pause. He stared at the bridge and at the stream.
They wouldn't cross a stream every time they came in here.
"Bridge. They wouldn't wade through the stream each time they came in." Cinis said softly, pointing toward the bridge.
