Trombin orders some bacon and eggs, he scoffs it down leaving the barmaid the correct fee. He then gathers up his belongings and is ready to leave with his companions.
After securing your horses at the inn stable, you begin your journey with full bellies and a cheery smiles. The sun warms your backs as you rattle along the dirt road, occasionally hitting a dip in the road the jolts you and your posessions about. After an uneventful few hours of traveling, you stop in a sunny glade and sit with your backs to an apple tree to enjoy your luncheon. It is now about noon and the sun is high.
I climb into the apple tree to get a better view of the land. As I reach out for a branch, I am suddenly taken by vertigo and, loosing my balance, I tumble to the ground. Thankfully, the fall was quite short so I emerge with everything but my self esteem intact. I turn to make a joke about it to Trombin, but regurgitate my lunch instead.
(OOC: The alcoholic base for the potion Tannen drank last night was made from infected barley. He is beginning to show signs of ergotism and will either die in a forgotten gutter or be rejected from society for his hallucinations and physical maladies, eventually finding his way to a hag coven that will mistake him for one of their own and accept him.)
The clatter of armor disturbs the peace and serenity beneath the apple tree as a knight strides down the road. His name is Mason McKell, known as simply as Mace to most. Weary from his journey, he heads towards the tree.
"Say, mind if I rest with you lot a while?" Mace is about to ask for a drink of water, but upon seeing the condition of the warlock he reconsiders. "What brings youdown this road, and how well does it pay?"

"Bacon! More bacon!" Grindal inhales the meat and heads out the door as well.

Grindal stares in horror while he rethinks traveling to find Gundren with companions instead of just heading out alone.

(OOC: Hey, disease and the medical procedures that followed were far more lethal in this era than a dragon or a scourge of orcs).

The threesome look a little startled as the knight abruptly plunks himself down beside them.
