((OOC: I'm not sure if this is correct. I read sneak attack as an additional d6 damage, am I right? I used to have to roll a second attack roll but in this edition it's just extra damage and modifier to the single attack?)
I edge closer to Telethin. "You look like someone who's done this before. What happens if they run at us?"

"If they rush at us stay back and be ready to cast your magic as needed." Telethin tells the human as he glares at the goblins, most of them being almost five feet shorter then his over eight foot frame.

Yes, just roll additionally for damage. Not sure what weapon the attack was made with, so I am assuming it was your shortbow.
The goblin smartly spins around so that he catches Trombin's arrow on his shield, and then charges the halfling rogue, scimitar whirling. Attack: 23 Damage: 7
The second scimitar-wielding goblin strikes at Telethin. Attack: 7 Damage: 4
Another arrow whistles out of the underbrush to your right, straight at Grindal. Attack: 22 Damage: 3
Yet another arrow sings it's deady tune, this one going for Tannen and coming out from the thicket to the left of the road. Attack: 8 Damage: 5
Surprise round is over, and the normal round begins with Telethin going first.
After getting hit by the goblin, Telethin will turn towards the tiny creatue that had dared to hit him and attempt to crush it with his quarterstaff. "You must want to die today small one."

(And of course I was 1 away from killing it I believe.)
I will be off of wifi for a while. I will cast Acid splash if 2 goblins group, and Eldritch blast if they do not. My spellcasting modifier is +3. If an enemy gets into melee with me, I will back up (taking the attack of opportunity) and cast.
"Bah!" Grindal shouts as the arrow lands in his right shoulder. The familiar sound of battle enters Grindal's ears like the sound of a calming wave, giving him energy.

Seeing the enemy, he shouts "Goblins! Ye don't even have the courtesy to be a damned orc? Well, ye'll be a kebab soon!" He picks up his lance, drops forward out of the wagon and rushes to skewer one (provided he is close enough, lance has a 10 foot range)

I completely forgot! Thank you. Tannen hurls a mote of aracne energy at the nearest goblin. Unfortunately, the blast is wide.

Trombin is screaming. He's enraged, with disregard for his own safety he slashes at the goblin near him. He's furious one of his kin has been slain and in the moment revenge is more important than anything else.
"Let them have it Grindal!! Give them all we've got!"

The arrow strikes the exposed neck of Telethin, and he falls without a sound from his lips, staying true to his personality to the last.
He dies with a smile on his face.

Dropping his lance for the inconvenience of such close range combat, Grindal pulls his handaxes off his belt, one in each hand.
"Time to show ye why me name be Goblinbane, ye damned ugly green halfling!"

OOC: Handaxes are light weapons, so should be able to use my bonus action as an attack (if the bonus attack hits, no modifier on the damage)
For some reason, it rerolled my off-hand attack on edit. It was a 12 originally, so it wouldn't hit regardless
