Fah'lin tries to open the door using his gauntleted hand instead.
Beyond the door is a wide foyer that leads into a circular room. On the east wall of this hall is a jade death mask affixed at chest height.
Taking up the middle of the chamber is a cross-shaped dais with sets of stairs leading up to it along each of the four ends. In the center of the dais rises a cylindrical structure that appears to be made of transparent walls of crystal enclosing an oddly carved, stone pillar.
The stairs that face the room’s entrance are carved with the heads of many gods. The steps on the west side are bloodstained, and atop the landing stands a statue of a warrior. The stairs to the north, across the room, are partly obscured by shadow. The eastern staircase is luminescent, appearing to change colors in the light.Tucked into each nook where the arms of the cross come together is a low shelf on which are placed small offerings: silver bracelets, earrings, neck collars, anklets, piles of coral beads, and silver and jade statuettes.
"One might assume," ponders Thar "that the stuff on the shelves may be warded of some kind so once again a Mage Hand may be useful. And the cylinder may just blow up in our faces." He will us Mage Hand to pick up some of the items of the shelf.

As you can see from the map below you don't have a line of sight on the shelves unless you are standing in the room; so does Thar (or any of the other numerous people with Mage Hand) still want to do it? If so where are you all standing when it happens?
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
From the halls entrance is Thar able to discern/recall anything regarding the "heads of the may gods" or "the oddly carved stone pillar" or of "the statue of the warrior"? History: 15 (Oops, forgot the +7 but unlikely to know anything anyway.)

Aeliarin checks this stuff for magic and magical school.
The stuff on the shelves detects as abjuration and the crystal cylinder detects as evocation.

Fah'lin examines the mask by the door. "What's up with this thing?" (Perception: 13)
Extended Signature
It looks to be hanging freely on a hook or something. It is of minor value (25gp)
Its suspicious That's what it is. Fah'lin clears the room waiting for the others to do the same before mage handling that thing.
Extended Signature
Once the weight of the mask is moved from the hook a cage shoots up from the floor surrounding that 5' square.
"That seems pretty harmless..."
Extended Signature
Arya "Says the guy not trapped inside a cage."
"Evocation, eh? Maybe if you stand in the cylinder it will blast you to smithereens," Aeliarin suggests.
"Abjuration as well, you said. Defense and offense... I've never heard of a Shield trap... Can you distinguish which are which?"

The cylinder is evocation.

"Does the mask fit through the cage?" asks Gijigume.
Yes you can get the mask out from behind the bars.

Fah'lin wears the green death mask over his helmet.
"Do we want all of the stuff in there? Maybe if we send in an unseen servant... or an owl?"

Arya glares at Fah’lin “Fine.” She walks over to the shelves and stares at the others “Run or stay 5, 4, 3”
