Pleased with the Halfling's reaction from his little prack, Lav laughs lightly. Having calmed down, he considers what he should do next, though keeps his eyes on the Halfling. He thinks back to the moment when the stranger came to him and suddenly began to talk. At that time Lav wasn't in a good mood, therefore didnt pay attention to his words and was only too glad for him to have left him alone soon afterwards. Now, however, he becomes curious what this was about. Lavashel ponders whether he should go to him directly and simply asks him. He decides against it. Instead, he chooses to observe him for now. He sees him walking to the bard, whose singing he hadn't really paid attention to, and some other people who already converse with the bard. Lav expected him to just go to her and gratulate her for the performance; a simple formality. To his suprise, he stays there. His curiosity has been piqued. He wants to know what the content of the conversation is. Unfortunately, he sits too far away, making it hard for him to hear anything. To change that, he stands up and walks slowly towards a table that is closer to them. Once again, he tries to listen to the conversation.
"Jah'nun has an interesting idea. We replace the cargo with empty containers and, later, perhaps tip off the guards to the Steel Fist's own attempt. There may be some collateral damage."
Lav: You hear snatches of the conversation, enough to piece together that the bard doesn't like the Steel Fists thieves' guild. After she moves into the common room and begins telling stories and answering questions, he clearly hears her purposing that the patrons left in the Broken Barrel at this late hour (all the PCs) take actions to strike at the Steel Fists.
Vosnin: Lorvara's passion to rally others against the Steel Fists is genuine to the point that it's almost contagious.
Jianyu, takes a seat at the common table, ready to participate in the excitment. It reminds him of that first time on the princess's ship with those wizards, escaping those pirates. So long ago.
Cavyre considers his options. "Well, on the one hand, the 'Steel Fists do have to be stopped, and I do rather like this place, and feel like like it would be worth it. On the other hand, that means teaming up with some rather shady people, and nothing is certain. We might try and fail. And as much as I hate thieves, they can't be entirely eradicated. What to do...?" "Well, I guess I'll join in, if only to help this fair city."

Jah'nun rolls her eyes at Cavyre. "Think of it more as protecting and redirecting, with a small charge for our services, of course." With a wink to Vosnin, she laughs, low. "The bard merely appreciates having another bold woman to plan with. We are few and far between in these parts, it would seem." Then she gives him a nudge. "The bard is lovely, but I admire folks with a bit more hair on their chin." Then she quietly informs her friend of all that he has missed, including the name of the thugs who had barged in earlier and the fact that she feels like Cavyre would not be a safe one to trust with guarding their backs in a fray.
"What we need... " she says in a louder voice meant for all ears to hear, "is a good distraction. Someone who could disrupt the front of the caravan while we make our switch," and at this point she pats the ancient, but gutsy, elf on the shoulder. "And one other thing... Does anyone here know how to drive a wagon?" She looks around the room.
"I mostly walk, and animals don't seem to like me that much, so I'm out for driver. I'm not much of a fighter, but I can protect you pretty decently. I could be a reserve, unless no one even trusts me with that, since I'm a "Stherigh". (his homeland slang for Tiefling) He looks around the room as well, boldly meeting everyone's eyes, including Jah'nun.

"Alright folks. I've been doing this sort of thing for a while, now. How about this. We head to the caravan leaders as a group, tell them we're from Ashborn and that we heard the Steel Fist was going to attack them. All true, right? We say we think a bigger show of force will keep them away. We separate along the wagons. Trust, Jianyu, and I will slip to the back of the caravan and replace the spices with sand or grass or something. Then we make off with the goods and reconvene back here. That dwarf can play the role of guard captain, he's got the look to him." The halfling grinned. "Like I said, I've been at this a while."
Watl say down on the stool he had been standing on and smiled at the others as they thought over his plan. He had been pulling similar jobs for over fifty years, so he knew it was a good plan. Plenty that could go wrong, of course, but no plan was foolproof.
"Decent plan, but what if they don't believe us? You need someone convincing. I think I canbe fairly convincing, so I could try to talk to them, if you want. But what about the others, Jah'nun and the others? Don't they need to do something?"

Zack has started writing something down in a sufficiently thick blank book.
