"Well as it happens my shift is just ending so maybe I will take you up on that offer." He gets his cloak and follows you out as you are met and escorted by one of the guards back across the grounds to the front gate.
Walking with the butler, Bones continues to be jovial with the butler, posing te questions about secret entrances and back doors again. When there's a pause in the conversation, Bones casts sending targeting Watl, saying in a whisper, "Taking the butler to the Feathered Flute for conversation... Join us. He will be friendly for about an hour."
"If there are any secret entrances they are keeping them from me. The only secret I wish i knew is just how this tabaxi is able to ensconce himself into the Stratton familie's good graces."
Watl is walking along the street back yo Jianyu's spot when he felt Bones' voice in his mind. He immediately tries to respond with an "On my way" before making his way to the Feathered Flute as quickly as possible.

"Well," replies Bones to the butler, "I meant more like service entrances rarely used, not necessarily 'secret' entrances. And you know what, I'd like to know how that tabaxi wormed his way into the Stratton's home, too. I have a friend with a similar goal, and he's going to absolutely enjoy talking with you. He'll be meeting us at the Feathered Flute, as well. Don't worry - we'll get to the bottom of this."
Kaltent stays in character while he escorts Bones and the butler out from the mansion. Once they’ve exited the grounds, he slips out as well, using Disguise Self again as soon as he is out of sight of any watchers to appear as a beggar and follows the 2 that just left.
Kaltent changes his disguise to a laborer as he approaches the Feathered Flute then enters behind the other two and sits at a table next to where Bones and the butler settled.
As Watl walks in, Bones, still as Sandrick, waves him over to the table he and the butler are at. Bones offers, "This is the young man I wanted you to speak with. Very smart. And I'm sure he'll be eager to look into this "tabaxi problem" your employers seem to be having."
To Watl he says, "This is the good fellow in the employ of the," then in a whisper, "Strattons," before returning to normal tone and decibel, "that I wanted you to meet. I'm sure you'll have questions."
"Excellent! How's it goin' there, jeeves? See, I've had nothing but trouble from that Tabaxi fellow that stays with the Strattons. A real thorn in my side, you know? Not that he goes out much on his own, though. Or does he? Do you see him leave the manor much? Or is he mostly a shut-in type? I imagine he doesn't get too many visitors except for this big ugly fellow, eh?" Watl said, gesturing to Bones. "How long has he even been hanging around the manor? It can't have been too long. Does he get any mail at the manor, or is it mainly magical correspondence? For some reason, I just don't see the guy as having too many close friends, you know? Speaking of close friends, how well does Lady Stratton get along with him? I can't imagine she would have put up with him so long if they weren't on very friendly terms. Something... extra going on, you think?" Watl finishes.
(We'll just assume this was all in normal conversation and not just one huge monologue.)

A few minutes after Bones arrives, Zack, who was trailing Bones under Disguise Self will walk into the Featured Flute and take a seat at a few tables away from Watl and Bones. He will pretend to be regular patron while listening in on their conversation. Zack staying close to provide any kind of support if necessary.
"He spends all his time in the mansion as far as I can tell. And he makes himself absent the few times there are any visitors, usually keeping to a few rooms upstairs. He has been there for months on end and no, he doesn't receive any mail so if there is any correspondence it must be magical in nature. Lady Stratton doesn't have much to do with him, they are hardly ever in the same room together, she leaves it to her son Byron to deal with him. They seem to be great friends as almost anything the tabaxi asks for Byron makes an effort to comply to, even though they don't seem to even spend much time together."
(This also comes out in conversation and not as one long monologue.)
"Hmmm... Byron, eh? What does he spend his time doing, most of the time? I can't say as I've had any interaction with him. Is he running the Stratton household these days? You know, I think young Byron might need some new friends! While short in stature, I happen to have a big personality! Maybe he could use some help, to keep the Tabaxi from walking all over him, you know?"

Bones also pipes in throughout the conversation here and there, "You say he does everything to comply with the feline fellow, yet they hardly spend any time together? When the tabaxi arrived, did he do so with Byron? Was Byron on some trip abroad or other such adventure and return with your unwanted house guest? Lord Byron - has he changed in any other sort of way - perhaps keeping to a different schedule, or different mannerisms and the like - since the tabaxi entered your lived? Have you noticed, let's say, a glassy look to Lord Byron's eyes, as if he was there, but not present?"

Bones is keeping track of time - eventually when he feels his spell of disguise nearing an end, he'll lean over to Watl and say, "I'll be needing to refresh my look very soon, and his temperament," nodding to the butler, "will quickly turn sour soon thereafter - whether I'm here or not."
"Well as it happens my shift is just ending so maybe I will take you up on that offer." He gets his cloak and follows you out as you are met and escorted by one of the guards back across the grounds to the front gate.
Jianyu jumps to his feet, watching as Bones emerges from the mansion and scone crumbs fall from his face. (Perception: 22)

Watl: You scramble back over the wall and as you put some distance between you and the estate you receive a message to meet at 'The Feathered Flute.'
Bones: "The servants use their entrance... I'm not sure what you mean, all the entrances get used from time to time."
Zack: (I believe they have all now left the Stratton estate.)
Kaltent: You find it easy enough to slip away under the ruse of relieving yourself and then disguise yourself as a beggar.
Jianyu: Indeed, few people come and go to the Stratton estate other than the occasional servant.
"No worries," replies Bones to the butler, "I'm not the best at asking questions, but my friend, I'm sure, will have a few better phrased ones."
Bones continues to escort the Butler to the Feathered Flute, buys him a drink, and waits for Watl's arrival.
