Nuria will quickly rushes over to the dragonborn, all her senses screaming to do the complete opposite. This guy was clearly a guard of some sort, and she is running strait for him. Stopping a few feet away, she quivers slightly but manages to say, "E-excuse me? I want to help but I don't know how!" She keeps her head slightly ducked but looks up at him with wide eyes.
Moderately large. Bigger ships probably take more to get moving - as all big things do - and right now we've got row boats and personal fishing or sailing boats. Step up from that would be small ships or large boats, but honestly just whoever he can reach that isn't moving yet. No guarantee that ship out there isn't going to have some merchant or noble insisting they save the goods instead of the crew.

The captain nods, considering for a moment, before turning back to the lieutenant behind him.
"Lieutenant, you arrange matter on the docks, get this crowd in shape. I'll be heading to the ship myself," he says, giving a quick nod right back to Breldo to suggest that he'd be joining him directly. And he's about to do so, taking one of the small fishing sloops. Or at least, he plans to do so, until suddenly a girl arrives on scene. It seems like just a moment she might have been trailed by a gnome or halfling, hard to say... But upon spotting all the guards on the scene, must have slinked away
Breldo struggles really, really, REALLY hard when the girl gives her own plea to help, and for a moment it does look like the captain is about to assure the girl that they have everything under control, but his gaze catches... Something, within the girl. Suddenly, his feet goes over one end of the low dock they're on, right onto one of the rowboats that two guards were preparing to leave with. For a moment, one could almost swear the boat tilted under that force, as the two's departure is instantly halted.
"Briggs. You're the senior, correct? You should have known how to act?"
"Erm... Yes, sir."
"Good. Briggs, you'll be the one ferrying this girl over as well. Johnson, you grab another boat."
---
Slick realizes he's being paid a fair sum for this, but not fair enough he's going to be ROWING all the way out there. Quickly glancing about, he notices there's a few larger boats closer by, too, and at least one boat has someone he could try and sway... Although if he temporarily borrows one of those larger boats, he can't be quite sure if people would be as hospitable to that idea...
He does also notice that a decent distance to the West there are more boats setting off, including some bigger ones. If he's fast, he could maybe still hitch a ride on one of those...
---
Khond rushes over to one more ship. This, too, is a fishing vessel... But one big enough to hold a modest amount of people. He at least certainly wouldn't need to worry that his... Bulk, would deny everyone else of a chance to use the boat to actually escape.
Nuria jumps a bit at the big Dragonborn’s reaction. Why did he do that? She can’t tell if the man if glad she’s helping, or if he wants to get rid of her. She starts moving towards the boat, then notices a halfling looking at her with searching eyes. This causes her to shrink a bit. She had thought that she’d escaped stares like that. Forcing herself to look back at the big Dragonborn, she says, “Thank you sir. I-I’ll help as best as I can.” Then she hops down into the boat and looks for Tristan. Not seeing her companion, she looks a bit sad. She’d been abandoned…again. No! Tristan must have had a reason to leave. Her lips tighten as she finds her resolve. “I will help those people. Then maybe people won’t look at me like that.” Her eyes flick to Breldo, then to Briggs. “Just tell me how to help, and I will do my best.”
Seeing the gathering crowd down by the docks, Tuck heads in that direction. From the looks of it, there is trouble with a damaged ship, and though Tuck is no sailor, he's spent a bit of time on them on his journeys of curiosity, and has discovered that the best way to make sea voyages better is to ingratiate yourself with the crew by offering to help out; he's not too bad in the galley, and can climb a rigging like he was born to it. Thinking there might an opportunity here to make a few new friends and find an adventure, the little halfling picks up his pace, heading for the docks looking for an opportunity to help.

Breldo gives the girl a more inquisitive look as she earns the captain's apparent approval, applying that incredible sense he has to measure someone's combat capability... And at first, he still sees that same insecure girl, stuttering through her words, seeming more as if she'd be better off running away than sticking around.
But... She's not running away now, is she? There's something oh so very subtle hidden deep in those eyes, in her posture, and she does carry around some weapons which she seems to have no issues handling. There might be a hidden fire in the girl... Or at least captain Gilgamesh sees something of the kind.
"At ease girl. Your help is much appreciated. You will not be alone there, and we the guard shall be there to assist should there be trouble. The rowboat should fit a fair number of people, if it is necessary."
(Anything you want to do before the boats depart?)

The fishermen exchange glances for a moment, seemingly mostly still uncertain what to think about the pony sized centaur wanting to enter their boat, or to learn about the fact centaurs are apparently that size (Sorry :P )- Before they give a decisive nod.
"Yeah, figure we should, shouldn't we? If there's not enough boats over there soon, people are gonna be swimming- Damn thing is already halfway there."
With those words does the centaur climb on, and the salt-encrusted sailors begin working on releasing their bindings so they may soon join in as well. With Khond's focus on trying to rally as many groups as possible, it'd be one of the last ships to go.
Meaning that they were there just in time to see a tabaxi sprinting in at full speed. Having worked up a sweat to such a point it almost seems like his fur is glittering in the sun. It'd be a glorious sight, were it not for the missing patches of fur, that is. Before anyone can even protest, he's jumped on the ship. Wow, he must REALLY want to help save people!
(Anything any of you want to do before the boat leaves?)

Tucker considers the spectacle for a little while before coming to the conclusion that, if absolutely nothing else, this will provide a temporary distraction while he awaits other matters. By the time he gets to the docks proper does it seem like the guards may finally be taking control of the situation, having the crowd take a bit of a distance while the rescue operation gets executed... Upon mentioning he's had experience climbing rigging before, however, do at least some of the guards seem more than willing to allow him to lend his services, if he's willing to. Soon enough he's hooked up with one of the guards in one of the rowboats, as the pair of them also sets off as fast as they can toward the sinking ship...
Breldo notes a flash of leather armor, and clocks her shortbow, immediately assessing it as well used, but well cared for. Her voice is unsteady, and she's shaking a bit, but her hands seem sure.
"Name's Breldo, miss. Breldo Bramblepelt. Looks like a well made bow," he nods over her shoulder, "hopefully we don't need to use them, but if we do, be good to have you."
He pats his crossbow as he speaks. If the Captain is willing to trust her abilities, Breldo supposes he can at least give her a chance to show she's worth the space on the boat.
After extending the bare modicum of courtesy, he's ready to shove off. He's not interested in rowing, that being a task for less skilled grunts, and will make his way to the front of whatever vessel they board to serve as a lookout.
The girl looks back at Breldo, "N-Nuria sir. Just Nuria. ...Uh thank you."Her eyes continue to follow him as he jumps into the boat. So it was her gear he was scrutinizing? Just by his simple statement about her bow, and the confident way he carries himself, she can tell this man is a real fighter. Forcing herself to release her grip on the hilt of her right hand dagger, which she didn't realize she had until now, she pulls the shortbow from off her back and easily strings it. It would not do to have to string the bow during a fight. "Better the bow than the rapier." She thinks. Moving her cloak as to allow easy access to her arrows, she finds a spot on the boat where she thinks she won't be in the way.
Slick stands, triumphant, and looks around grinning at everyone. What looked like sweat is now clearly a mixture of sweat and something oily, so up close he really glistens. The smell is pretty unique as well.
"Take Rick to save the people! Quickly!"
He points in what he guesses to the direction of the sinking boat.
Khond eyes the new arrival for a moment. A bit of a mangy cat, but a centaur can't be one to judge by such things. "I figure I can at least haul weight to help pull people up onto deck if need be - can't reasonably get any more ships moving - but what how will you plan to help, friend? Are you perhaps adept at swimming?"

Khond grins, "I'm the usual size for a centaur, yes. But I probably won't get onto the other boat. I'll just pull people up onto this one. Toss them a rope - I've got my own in my saddlebags for that - and so long as they can hold on I'll pull them up. We're good at pulling, horse people."
