At the behest of his compatriot, Fargrim dons his shield before heading towards the wooden door and opening it to go in first. He leaves his battleaxe at his side... for now.
"I'll watch our back. Keep your heads up." As Redmond draws his sword from the scabbard, it emanates and almost imperceptible purple glow. He dons his shield, following the group into the warehouse.
Taman takes the penultimate place in the line, at the rear just before Redmond, leaving space for Solaster to go before him and then Alan, Arynn and Fargrim in front. His hand crossbow is drawn.
"Fargrim, do not wait to strike when the iron is hot, but make it hot by striking!"
(I'm at the gym training for a half marathon but I'll keep this going as I can)
Walking into the warehouse the only light is coming from the windows many stories above. In the dim light you can see many many wooden crates stacked in piles creating a haphazard maze-like path through the warehouse heading towards the center of the building. Above, near the roof, are walkways running in radials from a central location and a seeming tower appears above the crates. You could safely assume these are the offices.
Those who have a perception of 13+ hear the light scratching of rodents scurrying somewhere deeper in the warehouse.

"Ugh... I think I hear rats... I hate rats. Looks like they're closed. Let's pick up that chest and get out of here."
Fargrim says a quick prayer in Dwarven as he casts light. His shield begins glowing, lighting the way forward for his human companions and casting shadows behind his back where the light source is blocked.
"Vermin. I can hear them scrabbling about. What sort of rundown place is this?" Alan said, looking around at the floor and ceiling with his hand crossbow at the ready.

"Those of you less armored, keep to the shadows behind me. The light from my shield will draw the dumb creatures to me so you can get a clean shot. It looks like the center of this warehouse is the way up. Mayhaps we can provide some pest control while we're here."
He walks forward, making his way cautiously toward the center of the maze.
"Darkness has no sway with me and I do not desire it's embrace."
He takes his shield off his back and with a quick prayer it emits a golden glow. I step up beside Fargrim to bath our path in light. Where he looks left I shine right.
The group moves forward and eventually the boxes open to a central area. A small tower stands in the middle of the clearing and 3 huge rats are sniffing near the door of the tower. They turn your way on response to the light and one let's out a squeek. Then you hear more squeeks and 2 more rats peek over the edge of creates about 15 feet above you all. One on either side of the path.
They all bare thier teeth hungry for your tasty smelling meat.

"Look at the size of those things! No wonder they wanted a little muscle for this errand! What do you say we earn a bonus from the client by taking care of this infestation?"
Arynn keeps an eye out, ready to go in probably second. "Keep an eye out for any potential company, and don't forget to look up." He comments to Alan.

Alan, following Fargrim's example, strapped on his shield and unsheathed his rapier. He kept his eyes peeled, looking for any sign of danger.
