ilifir runs up to granny, and, following his instincts, releases a cloud of spores, the gnashing wind around him carries them more forcefully around the hag
Spores (1/Day). A 5-foot radius of spores extends from the campestri. These spores can go around corners, and they have no effect on Constructs, Elementals, Plants, or Undead. Each other creature in the area must make a DC 10 Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the creature is incapacitated and its speed is halved, both for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.
spike turns invisible again, and flies up to granny, and a little bit past her, careful to stay away from the spores (so if she is shoved he is still in 5')
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
This Mug immediately shared with me a transcendental tale of an Infinite Mug that anchors the Universe and keeps it from folding in on itself. I filed this report under "illogical nonsense" and asked why its sign is in Times New Roman font, when it is basic knowledge that Arial Black is a far superior font. I wondered: How did this mug even get past the assembly line with its theistic beliefs and poor font choices?
quote from Romantically Apocalyptic byVitaly S Alexius
Seeing that they haven't even managed to budge the hag over 5' after 4 tries, Val is realizing that they really are in a fight to the death with this hag. That's probably not going to end well! But it might go better if the fire elemental burst out the oven. Even if it didn't attack Granny Nightshade, it might cause enough chaos for the party to escape without getting caught.
Would it help to demolish the oven? Or does she think that would just send the elemental back to its home plane?
With an 18 you figure that no elemental likes to be bound and so may indeed attack Granny Nightshade. To release it you need to use dispel magic. You are not sure what would happen if you destroyed the oven.
Finley, knowing he isn't the strongest dwarf around, runs into the room and casts Enlarge on Aoife so that they can have an advantage on shoving the hag into the oven.
Valrieth reaches out with her telekinesis and close the oven door. She asks the now-giant half-orc, "Aoife, can you hold the oven door closed so that she doesn't push it open from the inside?"
Val also asks, "Finley, could you close that door to the yard? We don't want any new trouble from that direction while we finish this business."
Val doesn't do anything about Ilifir. She figures that if the fire elemental attacks Granny Nightshade, she'll lose concentration on the spell that turned him into a mushroom soon.
Movement: Moving east again to stand in the hallway that leads to the door to the south.
Action: Telekinetically close the oven door. That is, cast spell Mage Hand with an invisible hand and use it to close the oven door.
Aoife's eyes widen as she becomes larger. She admires her enlarged self for a moment and then hurriedly brings herself back to her surroundings, nods at Val and pushes against the door of the oven to keep it closed.
Movement: to stand against the oven door.
Free action: holding the door shut
Held action: If Granny tries to open it she will shove her back (athletics nat 20 for 27 on game log - advantage)
(edited to adjust athletics as per Ben's post below)
