"I come from a city known for its libraries and having been home to many great spellcasters, some of which were chosen of the goddess of magic. I have not been there in sometime though as before I arrived here I was deep in an ancient ruin." Mara says with a wistful look in her eyes as they follow after the guide.

The guide seems somewhat perplexed by the stories. "I am unsure about many of these words; sea, star, ships, ocean, lake, greenery, cycles." He looks to Killian. "But to hear that one comes from the water, that must be an interesting tale. All water here is gifted by Our Lord, and we are grateful for his bountiful treasures he gifts us." Then he focuses to Mara. "Library is a word I know, but have never seen one. It is apparently a room within The Lord's palace."
Rumble's eyes widen at the admission from the guide. As he starts to look to others with a worried look, he catches himself, and focuses forward instead. But the concern never fully leaves his face. "... Do yaw'll got a smith 'round here as well? Or at least something similar? Think'n of see'n bout getting this thing here properly fixed up." He says with a forced grin, and a few pats on the breastplate.

"What is it the townsfolk have to do to obtain such a gift as water? is it that scarce of an amenity that it is only given out at certain times? I only ask as we are headed to the bathhouse, Where we come from water in most places is bountiful and even falls from the sky at times as little droplets, If it is such a rare item to possess then surely we are in for a treat to be able to wash our selves." Killian asks these questions and starts to look around at the townsfolk that have been following them, trying to see if they all have that caked on dust that would notion towards not a lot of them bathe on a regular basis.
"I am unsure about this 'smith' person," The guide says to Rumble. "We have some crafters if you are looking for new equipment and clothing."
He then seems fairly taken aback by Killian's claim. "Your water comes from the sky? Madness. Why would you waste water on cleaning your body when the cleansing baths of sand do a good job?"
Dark, in the meantime, has been waiting for a few minutes outside of the bathhouse. Some of the townsfolk have noticed his arrival and are congregating around him again. Guess being the big bird on campus has its drawbacks.
The bathhouse doesn't have a front door to the building, more an open archway that leads indoors. The entrance reveals a sandstone floor in a tile-like formation. With three doors leading through, each one made of a similar stone, there is a woman seated behind a marble topped desk with a few small effects upon it. Unlike most of those outside, she is not wearing her veil, showing a beautiful and youthful sun-touched face. She gasps as Dark enters, obviously not in the know that someone who is like their champion is in town.
(I'll give Dark the initiative on what he does first)
Party Perspective
"Hmm," The guide thinks about it. "Well you mention water is used for more than keeping alive as it is a common resource where you live. Well sand is abundant in our land, it is used for many a thing here; building, bathing, hunting, defending." He comments. "Ah, here we are, my friends." He gestures to the bathhouse.
Killian turns to Darnell, "Yeah did he just say bathe in the sand? this is going to be a new one. he does know how it chafes when it gets certain places right?"

Rumble grimaces. "Yeah, that probably makes more sense. Gonna need to talk to one that works with metal a lot." He admits as much. Then when the conversation turns about the sand, his eyes lit up. "Probably do wonders for someone like me though!"He frowns and furrows his brow. "... I think. But really, no rain? Hm... Killian enters the bathhouse seeing Dark with his wings spread asking someone if we have arrived, (Killian's view of the woman is blocked by Dark) "Mahi, we have arrived" He says sorta jokingly as he walks up and puts a hand on darks shoulder, "see anything interesting on your way over?"

Though still mostly interested in hearing an answer to his last question, Rumble acknowledged Dark with an eager wave, and the reception with a headcant. "That's a surprise. From what I used to 'ear about cities in general, it ain't nuthin' but chaos when it comes to how most the buildings are built." He says still eyeing the woman. "Tho' that ain't too big of a surprise come to think of it. Supplies are prolly pretty scarce on this level even given the design, all things consider. 'nd with the "water" situation being what it is, not many are prolly all dat keen to put in the extra work on designs."
He folds his arms. "'xcuse me, Mam. This really is the bathhouse, right?"

"I see but it is simpm hard to imagine how one would bathe in sand to us. I apologize as we mean no insult it is simply strange but if it works then I woulf be glad to attempt it." Mara said as she bowed apologetically, hoping that they would not end up insulting the guide in someway.

"My home is a simple place," Darnell says.
"I live near the woods in a place where most of my neighbors are farmers. It's quiet, but it's home...or...oh, dear."
Darnell bows his head as he realizes that Old Man Rockthorn has probably demolished his cabin.
And that's all I have to say about that.
