You and your party are the protectors of a city called Seacast. The nearby town of Timberbottom has been seized by Oni and their Goblinoid lackeys. An outrider from the town has come to plead his case before your city's war council. He pleads that you retake the town, and prevent the Oni from doing any more harm. You must travel to Timberbottom, along with your city's army. You must take the town before the darkness swallows it, but be careful. All is not what it seems.

Since our characters are all part of the Seacast guard, it follows we all know each other and have worked together for at least a span of time. I'll take the initiative and describe my character for the party.
Finnegan Hornblower is a twenty-something human male with jet black hair and dull blue-grey eyes. He keeps his beard shaved clean, and his hair shorn to more of a light painting of dark across the top of his head. Thick, bushy eyebrows dominate his face, and are usually locked in an expression of stern concentration. Hornblower stands about five-foot-six, but powerful muscles fill out his frame, and he walks with the confidence of a man half-again his height.
While on duty, he speaks only when the job requires words, and has a reputation for being a little intimidating, which suits him as an officer just fine. Off duty, he is kind, if not exactly warm, and enjoys sharing an ameable drink with trusted companions. He has little patience for magic, though he accepts it in others as valuable tools for the job.
Privately, he is a very religious man, devoted to [whatever god Barigil serves], but he speaks openly about his faith very little, and never while on duty. He is currently courting a young half-orc lady, and is considering asking for her hand in marriage soon. He taught himself the orcish language to be able to propose in her own tongue. As with his religious life, his romantic life is kept very private, likely only known to his fellow fighter, Rex Greenskin. [It's possible Rex was the one who helped teach Fin how to speak orcish.]
"Great to meet you again Finnegan." proclaims Rex as he gives Fin a pat on the back, likely with a bit more force than is customary for a human to human interaction.
Rex Green skin is a brutish looking half orc that seems to have signed up to work for the guard on a whim. In fact he considers himself more of a contractor than an actual guard, but he seems willing to help out so long as there is a challenge to be had, and a little gold to boot. He has light green skin with jet black hair that is tied in a braid that goes down to just below his shoulder line. A small gold ring hangs from one of his fangs, at this point it is a bit tattered looking. Standing well over 6 feet tall, nearly 18 stone in pure muscle Rex has a mix of intimidating and inviting which could easily be off putting to some.
Rex prefers to leave the little issues in the town to the actual guards and spends most of his time scouting possible targets just outside of town. He is quick to react when highway men or bandits move to the territory as they usually carry a bounty on their head from the Merchants guild. Unlike most in his trade, he loves to fight in a pair or larger groups, seems to enjoy being a tactician at times or just backing up his comrades. Usually keeping his calm, there are times when his inner demons have come out when in the dire straights, not his most proud moments. When not playing the role of bounty hunter or guardsmen, he enjoys his time at the tavern and can usually be found recanting tales from orc legend or his time with his father and his father's exploits.
Rex was very excited to be able to help Fin out with his surprise, though still ponders if Fin will be able to handle her he doesn't voice that opinion. Orcish women after all have warrior spirits as well, perhaps they will actually be the perfect match. Rex has had more than 1 encounter with Black eyed susan, not always on the same side of said encounter. But they have a mutual understanding of how the world actually works and share many of the same contacts when it comes to handling said situations. Irhthos's magic does seem to captivate Rex at times, and can usually be found pondering if he could make use of such a skill. And Rex has teamed up with Barigil a number of times to help deal with issues pertaining to the guild, while not a full member himself Rex likes to keep on good terms with the guild as they are just as likely as the town to have a job for him.
