Keneux (Laladak) has left the campaign being frustrated by the amount of time it would take to finish the armor. We have had clashes before between my DMing style and his style of playing. We have had several PM conversations about this, so it doesn't really come as a surprise to me.
There is a couple of different ways we can handle this
The party starts back up down in the treasure room, and somehow Laladak dies.
(This is what Keneux suggested somewhat) Laladak pays for the armor, but on your way back to Keygan's workshop, he sees a mercenary group hiring. He joins up and gifts the armor to Oreus (you will be able to pick it up in the downtime between chapters 1 and 2. I estimate that you are about 75% to 80% through chapter 1).
The other thing we need to decide is whether or not you want me to recruit a replacement player. I have a good idea how to insert a new player into the game. I haven't looked at the Adventure to see how far it is (Somewhere in the Malachite Fortress). The Adventure is designed for 4 players, but I personally think it should be run with 5 or 6. Let me know
I have recorded all the loot from the urn and the silver from inside the armor
Let Laladak leave the party in town, his character can decide he's had enough. Let us have the half playe that's been resized if anyone needs it otherwise spell to merchant to pay for resize on full plate and we will get it after we finish this next part. We could recruit someone while in town before we go on or you can bring someone in down inside whatever but if you think we need one more let's get one more. I have died in almost every encounter so in all for more people

Ok, I have invited two players from my other game. Both of them have expressed interest but haven't committed yet. After reading Teechu's post I decided to have you meet in town while you Laladak is haggling with the Smithy. I will figure out how you meet after I know what race/classes they choose.)
In the meantime, let's go back a little bit...
Shadow can't quite get the chest open, but then he remembers the masterwork set of Thieves Tools in the urn. He goes and retrieves them and tries again to open the locked chest. The chest appears to be empty. Shadow give me a Wisdom check.
Shadow is intrigued by the empty locked chest, so he does a thorough investigation. First he looks for hidden compartments, but doesn't find anything. Then he does a tactical search thinking he would find a seam in the wood, or a hidden pressure plate, or somesuch. However when he starts the tactical search he discovers that there are objects in the chest after all. Pulling the first object out of the chest, it immediately becomes visible. Repeating this until the chest is in fact empty Shadow finds the chest contains the following
3 Shrew statuettes carved from smoky quartz
A mother-of-pearl Inlay board with matching wooden game pieces (Gnome kings, queens, knights, and other figures)

Shadow will remember the masterwork lockpicks from the urn and attempt the chest 1 more time using the picks

Getting another would work for me.
Shadow collects the items and puts them in his bag
"There was a second hidden door in the first room let's go back and see what else is hidden away"
Shadow leads the group back to investigate the other hidden door

Alben would like to check the items shadow got from the chest for magic. Arcana:15
Shadow Investigates the other secret door and figures out how to open it, revealing another small room (I will update the map later tonight).
Three chests lie in the room, strange glyphs upon their lids.
Arcana check to understand runes, what they might mean or do 5
Hey Alben what do you make of these Runes?

Alben doesn't think any of the items are magical.
Shadow believes that they are warding glyphs
" Warding glyphs can do all sorts of effects, does anyone have any type of way to dispel magic?"

Alben inspects the runes, to try to figure out what they ward, and if there is a way around them. Arcana: 19
Unfortunately Alben comes up blank, maybe Shadow (or someone else) will have better luck.
