(Keneux asked if you we could play with flanking rules, which looks like to me just grants advantage. I'll leave it up to the players, as it could be used against you as well)
Ix'altha pulls his hood back to reveal that he is not a halfling hunchback, but instead a kobold. "I am Ix'altha, I have been sulking these streets for refuge since my home was sacked. I am trying to find a contact for The Last Laugh, but this evening has made an interesting turn. These missing children, they are from the orphanage. Are these kidnappers perhaps looking... for someone in particular?"
Ruphus says that several people have been kidnapped. Mostly those who would not be missed, the old, beggers, and finally children from the orphanage. As St. Cuthbert is a patron of the orphanage we feel it's our duty to try to find them. I would stay away from the Last Laugh little one as these are there people or hirelings judging by the masks. Help me to the church my superior will want to talk to you.
"Agreed" I split the loot between present party members. (which comes out to 3s 4c each i believe. I give laladak the extra 1 copper.) I take 1 of the rain cloaks, set of dark clothing, short sword and masks for a disguise and leave the rest of the gear. "Lead the way".
I will take a rain cloak, dark clothing, and a mask and then follow suit with the group. "These men were with The Last Laugh, you say?" Inquires Ix'altha.

The two-story Church of St. Cuthbert, it's white marble walls suffused with vains of vivid blue, stands in starj contrast to the buildings of bare black stone that flack it on the north end if Obsidian Avenue. A Pair of white marble statues depicting armored warriors srand on either side of the temple's heavy oaken door. Each of the statues raises a great mace to the darkening sky. Above the door's marble architrave are boldly inscribed the following words in common: WITHIN LAW LIVES HOPE.
As you enter Ruphus show you to a waiting room and giving you warm blankets (to dry of with) and hot cups if tea he says he needs report the nights happenings to to his superior.
As you wait for Ruphus to return, two figures approach from somewhere deeper in the structure. A young woman with premature streaks of gray in her rich brown hair steps forward with her hand outstretched in friendship. She wears a brown robe with golden trim and the symbol of St. Cuthbert around her neck. "Good evening" says the Woman. I have spoken to Ruphus abd learned of his harrowing ordeal, as well as your remarkable heroism. I'm Janya, the acting high priest. I am in your debt.
Jenya leads you to a room where you can sit down by a nice warm fire. "Ruphus has told me you have been asking questions about the orphanage. Let me tell you what I know.
The orphanage has two common bedrooms on the second floor. One for the boys and one for the girls. Two children were taken from each room 3 nights ago. There names are Deakon, Evelyn, Lucinda, and Terrem. None of the other children or the staff heard or saw anything. The orphanage has barred windows and excellent locks and the children are locked in at night to prevent any midnight mischief. As the church of St. Cuthbert is the patron to the orphanage we have declared publicly that we will find the missing children. To that end I used one of our must holy relics the Star of Justice, a magical mace that has divide divination properties. Using the mace I asked the following question 'Where are the children who were abducted from the Lantern Street Orphanage' the respose was cryptic. I wrote it down.
I believe the locks the riddle refers to might be the locks at the orphanage.
Jenya then ask you if she can hire you to find the children. "The church will pay you 2,500 gp (the party not per person) upon the return of the children. Are you interested?"
She then gives each of you a potion of Cure Wounds lv 1 (1d8 + 5) for a reward for saving Ruphus. She asked you if anyone needs healing? And tells you that you can buy healing potions for 20% off here.
Cure Wounds lv 1 (1d8 + 5) 40gp (50gp)
Cure Wounds lv 2 (2d8 + 5) 240gp (300gp)
Cure Wounds lv 3 3d8 +56) 600gp (750gp)
Or any other divine potion if in stock up to 3rd level (any divide spell with a single target)
(You will have to search the bodies if you want to find out if they have anything one tthem of value)

Ruphus Thanks Laladak but says he can walk. "Oh, not the orphanage at this hour we need to go to St. Cuthbert's"
What's this about the last laugh? Are they the ones behind the disappearances? How many children are missing from the orphanage?
We should go back to the temple, out of this rain to discuss it
"Let's go quickly then." Tyris starts moving in the direction of the temple.

"I believe so" Ruphus replies to Ix'altha as they start down the road. "I have heard they use these masks to hide there identity"
