Last known words of Grigor Kulenov, Mad farmer-priest.
This is an adventure. An adventure of the likes never seen before. I need about 4-6 characters of 3rd level or lower; I will choose the ones I find most interesting and unique. Good or neutral pcs are preferred, but I can make exceptions.
Cedrick the Lawful Neutral Cleric of the Helm faith. Raised as an acolyte in the Temple of Helm after his parents died. He is now ready to venture out into the world to spread the faith of Helm, and find his way in the world.
Race: Changeling (UA - with rewording on Shapechanger to make it clear it's just cosmetic)
Class: Rogue 1 / Warlock 2
Backstory:
Void was a simple Changeling charlatan and thief. He had worked up a few persona with identities so he could relieve people of their money and possessions.
While working for some local criminals, creating forged documents, Void, under the persona of Thallan Mirazana (High Elf scribe and document forger), saw an opportunity to make some extra money.
Going on a hunch from the information the criminals had provided, for the documents requested, Void was able to find a stash of stolen artefacts, in a riverside warehouse. As Void, again in the guise of Thallan Mirazana, perused the items for something to sneak out with, the criminals turned up and spotted Void. In panic, Void grabbed an old tome from the pile of artefacts and made a break for it.
A Wizard among the group of criminals, let off a fireball at Void as he run for one of the windows. the explosion threw Void out of the window and into the river, where he was carried away by the current.
while Void was floating down river with the tome held tightly in his hands, a voice began to whisper in this mind.
"you.....you are mine....you are fertile ground...i will grow in your ground"
without fully understanding what was happening an otherworldly power reached into Voids mind and planted something there.
the next day Bram Farrow awoke on the shores of the river realised that his friend and companion, Thallan Mirazana, had been killed by the criminals he had been working for. taking the tome in his hand, Bram swore he would one day get revenge for his dead friend.
Void is currently trapped in his own mind, the seed of some elder god growing within. outwardly Void is always one of his 3 remaining persona's.
Frank Hardy: Wood elf rogue. Quick with his fingers, a shadow in the dark. Frank is afraid that the criminals who killed his friend will come looking for him, to get revenge. he is always looking for danger, ever ready to fight or run if cornered. others would do well to leave a little room between themselves and this one, or they may loose some coin, or worse, a finger.
Master Franz Harrington II: Human wizard. 4th son of the late Duke Broderick Harrington. Franz' whole family was accused of treason by an unscrupulous rival and executed by the crown. Franz was lucky enough to be away on business for his father, at an allies estate, when the trouble went down. the friend of his father's gave Franz an opportunity to escape, that he might live to reclaim his families honour one day. Franz is pompous and arrogant to any he sees as his lessers. for his enemies he has a cutting tongue and insults to spare. but if the going gets tough and it looks like defeat is imminent, Franz will run and save his own hide.
Bram Farrow: Half-elf bard. the heart and soul of his group of friends. Bram was born to farmers, but couldn't conform to that life, and set out to find adventure and sing a song about it afterwards. Bran is the one who holds his group of friends together, after Thallan Mirazana was killed. Franz is too 'noble' for his own good, and would probably get himself killed, if Bram wasn't there to help him out. Frank would descend into darkness and never be seen again, if Bram didn't keep him in the light. Bram worries the most for Frank, he doesn't look to be taking the death of Thallan, too well.
all 3 of the persona's believe they travel together everywhere. they subconsciously cast Silent Image to create other persona, when they need to see them, or be seen with them. most of the time, the other 2 are just out of sight. around a corner, over a hill, in a nearby shop, always nearby, or catching up. all of the 3 persona's automatically rationalize or hallucinate away any discrepancies with reality.
When Void sleeps he transforms back and forth between the 3 persona's and himself, each appearing different. Frank curls up into a fetal position and sometime whimpers. Franz has a concerned look on his face and sometimes mumbles unintelligently to himself. Bram usually looks content, with just a hint of a smile at the corners of his mouth, but sometimes a look of sadness will overtake him. when Void's true form appears, he looks distraught, almost manic. he will often make sounds of panic and fear, and sometimes loudly call out for help.
unless Void is woken out of his mental prison, while he sleeps in his true form, he will continue to be trapped until the seed planted there has germinated (level 3 warlock, unlock Pact of the Tome).
There’s nothing I like more than a good mystery. I am horribly, horribly awkward in social situations. Taverns are my best chance for meeting new people because I can blend in to the environment without much notice. On the odd chance someone would want to talk to me, the introduction of alcohol ,whether it’s me drinking to relax from my awkwardness or my new friend drinking, will hopefully hide my quirks. New to the wizarding craft, I very much want to see what the World might teach me. I grew up next to a retired High Elf wizard that taught me the basics. Upon his death I decided to follow my passion wherever it might lead.
Ideals: Knowledge. The path to power and self-improvement is through knowledge. (Neutral)
Bonds: I have an ancient text that holds terrible secrets that must not fall into the wrong hands.
Flaws: I overlook obvious solutions in favor of complicated ones.
I can adjust level up or down to fit the story.

Cinder is a exile who doesn't speak much of her past, but generally chatters to those she likes. She is friendly sometimes overly so, and frequently annoys others. She has a passion for life and loves exploring and learning new things or buying tiny things to keep on her.
Backstory: See Spoiler. You didn’t specify the setting so I let the names of the places as I first wrote this for Exandria, but we can easily changer the places to adjust to any campaign setting :)
The quiet and calm young elf was a mistery even for Fren’hyard. The rangers had found him almost ten years ago, near the bodys of his parents, killed by a party of raiding orcs of the Gwash tribe that were attacking the outskirts of Lyrengorn in the past few months. How he had survived was also a mistery, for the child barely spoke of it and no one was sure who killed the orcs that were found in the scene. Everyone assumed that it was the parents before dying, but Fren was starting to suspect that not all of the orcs were killed by the unfortunate couple.
The childhood of Lyn’daran wasn’t easy, for even in their community the child didn’t have anyone who care of him, so he was forced to steal sometimes to survive, and the few pockets of unsavory individuals in the city started to get a hold of him. At least it was the first impression when the guards caught him trying to steal some supplies from the wyvern rider’s barracks. But soon he lead the authorities towards the brain of the operation and tht led to more detentions. Now his mentor was sure that he let the guards capture him on porpuose, led them to the head to assure him a place among the scouts of Lyrengorn and, most of it, that he had learned of them what he needed.
In the following years, Lyn had excell at many disciplines, specially those who made him a more efficient hunter and killer. He rarely joined his companions in celebrations, and even when he did, he was alone, not really taking part of the fun and jokes. His sarcastic and black sense of humor combined with his reserved nature made him a solitary. Many thought that he didn’t care about his companions. In this they were also wrong.
Just a week ago a patrol of students were attacked and captured by a band of wandering goblinoids, led by an ogre. Many scouts and warriors were dispatched looking for them, even some wings of wyvern riders joined the search. Nobody paid attention to the lone student that left the barracks that night aremd with a longbow and a cold determination. For four days he followed a faint track that kept heading north into the Neverfields. He found the orcs and his ogre leader hiding in a ice cavern getting ready to kill the rest of their captives. He planted his arrows in the snow and called for the orcs. As they were emergin from the cave his arrows were killing them. Finally the ogre came out of the cave, and he led the mounstrosity to a crack in the ice he had discovered. Lured the ogre to its edge and made him fall on it. Firing his last two arros to the knee and talon of the ogre he left it at the bottom of the crack, were a pack of dire wolves killed and devoured the ogre. He witnessed it until the end. Two days later the scouts found him almost freezed, for he had lend his cape to one of the survivors, guiding them back to safety. “ They are my brothers, my clan” he replied as only explanation for his acts.
Now, with his face tattoed as a full member of the scouts, Lym’daran were standing in front of his former master and mentor Fren’hyard, but for all his quiet demeneaor and for his cold blood killing their enemies, he was confident that the young elf will die before let any threat to the Elvenspeak come closer to it. He lend his weapons to Lyn who accepted them with a solemn nod. He knew how important this was to him. He was finally accepted as one of them. He had, again, a familiy.
