Gymgier would know the best way there, right? And how far it would be?

A footnote: The calculations I presented were for traveling by foot. Renting a wagon would allow you to travel faster. (Traveling from one square on the map to the next will take 4 hours instead of 6)

I've not used javelins before, do they act like arrows (ie half back after combat)?
Also, should we have someone be the party treasurer? I'm happy do it. Just to keep track of who pays for party stuff (ie the cart rental) and then gives out the appropriate portions of the quest loot so they get payed back
Simpler than everyone trying to remember who owes who what
As for the javelin thing, since they are more thrown weapons than ammo and you can move to retrieve javelins (as far as I know. Correct me if I get this wrong. Still new to DMing) using an action in combat, I'll say that you don't lose all any javelins. Plus, they are bigger than arrows so it should be easier to retrieve them. How about this: Roll d20. If you get nat1, you got unlucky and lose a javelin. (Vandanore forest is very big and very dense)
Another amusing thing I noticed. No one picked Chaotic as their alignment.

The fastest route is by the trail. Let me calculate how long it might take.
6 Days on trail or 8 off trail... give or take a day.

I slightly edited my post to reflect this.

Sorry, I messed up the prices of rent. I changed it as soon as a realized. 15 gp isn't going to cut it. Sorry
Fixed my post to reflect changes.

Add Gym the 5 GP that Val gives to the pot. So we all have a little bit of money. :)
PbP Character: A few ;)
What a nice thing to do. And Tactical. I shouldn't be spoiling anything but...
(Can be considered an actual spoiler:)
When in battle, don't always default to Surround-and-Pound tactics. It may work in some cases but it is also likely to get you killed in other cases.

It's your wish. I'll leave all that to you guys.
Referring to the javelins, I believe it's just things with the ammunition keyword that has the "get half back" thing, rather than thrown weapons.

You keep all 4 of your javelins.
If anyone wants an idea of what Folki looks like, this but with golden eyes and grey instead of white:
OK no I've found him!
Since you posted that video, I rule that Folki must do a falcon belly dance sometime in the future or have rocks fall on him.
