Runt cleans the nasty vomit but realizes that the stuff is very toxic and very acidic. Her armor is cleaned but it is damaged from being melted. She needs to see a blacksmith to get it fixed. (If the Armor takes so much damage that its AC drops to 10, it becomes unusable. Don't worry though, it can still be repaired from that stage.)
With her breastplate damaged, Runt removes it revealing her petite but fit and tones torso. He her chest only having a small shirt that leaves her abs and collar area exposed.
((Runt is half orc, but her human side is fairly dominant on her looks. She is also short at 5 feet tall.)

As you guys get ready to move on, Elsara finishes her ritual casting of Detect Magic. She informs you that the place that you partially blocked is radiating Affectus Uti magic more than any other place in the cave. She also informs you that the strange liquid Deva rubbed on his glove was also made with the same kind of magic. It was made with really strong magic.
Also an Orc comes up to see what the noise was about. He is surprised by all of you. He gets knocked out/killed (your choice) before he has a chance to react. Everyone gets 40 XP (going to add it to your character sheet now)
(Did prior to the Orc's knockout we see the same mad look about them as the guard? Or did things happen too fast? Because if the Orc appeared mostly normal, Devarus would aim towards a knock-out as per his preset.)
Devarus more or less glanced over to Runt at one point... Annnd following an awkward coughing fit mid-swig of his waterskin actively avoided looking in her direction from then on. "A-Afectus Ulti? Isn't that--"The rest catches as the Orc's sudden appearance, and subsequently is dispatched by the group. After silently thanking the Orc for the distraction, Devarus warily goes over to study their form under the light of [Tooltip Not Found]. But actively avoids touching them, leery now. "... Affectus Ulti... an ancient magic, if I recall to manipulate the form and emotion through the soul... And someone not only got ahold of Zack's research, but using these Orcs as either test subjects, or things are worse than thought."Devarus admits, frowning.
"We already know the heaviest source -- at least, /I/ think the heaviest now lies behind that wall of flesh. Which is all the more the reason we should check out the rest of this area. If this isn't some freak accident, we may find the one responsible or clear notes elsewhere."He gets to his feet, and if noone disagrees continues as plan to the intersection southern path doorways.

(Yes. This orc, though not super deformed like the Blob or the Blitz, was like the 4 that guarded the entrance).
Moving on... you move south and notice that of the 3 doors in the south passage, the one closest to you is open. Perhaps that is where the orc you just dispatched came from.
First of all please accept my apologies for beign out of contact the past week. It has been a crazy week IRL and it was the first time I felt that I couldn't even take a fast look at the Forums on my cell... Sorry about that. A lot of crazy shit happened.. all together...
Thanks for your understanding and patience!
"I think that we should find what caused their transformation. The source of this magic and destroy it. Elsara do you think that there is hope for them to return to their former forms? and pshyques? If that's the case meybe we could try to help them, but after what they did at the village I am afraid that their arrangment with them is broken forever. Hope this doesn't happend with our friends the goblins. We should really hunt down the responsible for this kind of magic spreading. It only brings death and sufffering."
Elsara says that this magic is still almost unheard of (you were the first to encounter it after who knows how long had past since it was long forgotten by everyone else) and so she's not sure if the orcs can be brought back. She also adds that she's starting to understand why the knowledge of this school was forgotten.
(Sorry to hear that Frandal, but glad to see you back.)
While having his longbow as a just in case, Devarus peeks into the room as the others spoke, but kept an ear out. "So, this truly isn't your first time dealing with the aftermath of this practice. I suppose that rules out coincidence. Not that odds were high, in that regard."He admits before stepping before the open door arrow ready to go. "On the subject of change, there may be some hope for the least altered of them. The rest, however, I... wouldn't bet on."He continues on quietly before stepping inside to explore the open door room... assuming he isn't jump first.

"We've seen what this kind of magic can do before, yes. And there is no turning back from it. Not until we know more of it... " he looks to Elsara " and I do not know if I want to know more of it. I believe that is a very dangerous path for the ones who seek that power. We should better destroy every evidence of it, found the source and destroy it too. Someone has discovered this magic again and is suing it to no good porpouse " says Valwarin to Devarus and the others.
( Not bad bad... but demaning enough to have me kept away from the forums... sorry guys )
(It's okay. No need to apologize. Now if only Northwest would say something. He's gone quiet it seems.)
Devarus, beyond the open door seems to be various mechanical levers. The room itself is empty except for a chair. You notice that magic has been used to make it so that the person in the room can see through the walls in to the room on the other side of the large locked metal doors but people from behind the large locked doors can't look into this room. Beyond the large metal locked doors (as you can see from this room) appears to be a passage leading to a ladder going down.
(Also sorry, it’s been quite a busy week for me as well. I tried to get caught up on the thread once or twice, but was pulled away before I got to the end.)
Gendan follows Devarus into the room and stays toward the front as they proceed to check out the ladder.
Actually, the ladder is not in the room. Let me try to make it more clear by drawing a quick map (size not to scale)
============================================== # L= # L= ==You Can See through this wall=============== = You are in this = room = = ========================================
... You can but why would you want to? I mean the door is literally right next to the room you are in. You can just exit the room, head north and then east and you'd be at the large steel doors leading to the room with the ladder.
Also are none of you going to do anything about the levers?
EDIT: Anyway, if you suspect the door might be trapped or something or whatever. To break down the wall, roll Athletics. I'd ask for hit and damage but that would be pointless since you could just keep bashing the wall until it breaks.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Against Devarus' better judgement, the half-drow goes over to test the levers in his investigation of the room. All by using the infamous scientific method of try-and-see. But before getting to involved he looks about them for anything connecting specific levers to certain direction.
Runt will try to clean the nasty off of her, but she really wants to kill more orc things.
