Roll your attacks and damage in the same post. After every round, I'll give you a wrap-up of what happened and how dead (or not) everything is. Raff, you're up first. GET TO FIGHTING.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Fenrir roars a guttural war-cry in Giant (nonsensical, but scary-sounding) and leaps down from his perch. Not concerned with leadership, he charges straight for the nearest cluster of fishpeople, rapier flashing.
((Fenrir pauses to pull up the guidebook on how to make attacks.... ))
Mr. DM:
Just to make sure I'm doing this right, attack roll consists of D20+Modifiers. Modifiers are Strength Mod (+3) (Finesse lets me use Dexterity instead, but I don't want to do that). I do have proficiency with the rapier, so my proficiency bonus is +2, so 1D20+5. Which I guess is why it says +5 to hit. Okay then.
Damage roll consists of the weapon's damage (1d8) then my Strength Mod again, so that's why it says 1d8+3, piercing damage. I think I understand now!
Attack Roll: 12
Damage Roll: 6
(( I don't want to make a new post for it, but that is some fantastic epic failure down there, Mishywife! ))
Talindra speaks a few short Sylvan phrases and fires off two spells at the nearest fish-person with two sharp gestures.
((bonus action to cast Hex, and then Eldritch Blast to the same creature. So attach roll for the blast: 6, damage for the blast: 1 and damage for the hex: 1)) ((Dammit.))
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
((It's time for the NPCs. Initiative worked out pretty well there, don't you think?))
Fargrim gives a shout and charges the leader of the fish people, swinging his scimitar three times.
Attack: 25 Damage: 9
Attack: 19 Damage: 5
Attack: 20 Damage: 5
The crew makes some attacks of their own ((for the crew, I'll be doing things a bit differently. I'll explain if you want, but basically they'll attack as a unit four times and deal damage spread across the fish dudes you lot aren't dealing with))
Attack: 21 Damage: 2
Attack: 15 Damage: 6
Attack: 12 Damage: 7
Attack: 5 Damage: 5
The fish dude who took damage from Fenrir will attack back with tooth and claw:
Attack: 11 Damage: 5
Attack: 19 Damage: 4
As will the one who Raff whiffed on:
Attack: 21 Damage: 3
Attack: 8 Damage: 3
One will also move toward Talindra and make an attack:
Attack: 7 Damage: 4
Attack: 11 Damage: 5
The remaining five are tied up with the crew (and I'll just roll them as one set of attacks because I'm lazy):
Attack: 6 Damage: 4
Attack: 8 Damage: 2
The leader rears back from Fargrim's attacks and summons a spectral trident, which stabs toward the captain.
So, combat wrap-up: The leader of the fish people, and the one who's been attacked by Fenrir, don't seem to be particularly pleased by the attention you've given them. The leader in fact looks about as half as good as she did when she arrived. As for the crew, they seem to be handling the fishy invaders quite well.
((I apologize for rolling well on those attacks. Please don't die))

Scrambling across the deck, Mortimer slides up next to Talindra's unconscious body. He frantically presses a hand to her, growling, "Don't you die on us yet! Too much work for you to do still, Talender!"
((Casting Cure Wounds at 1st level, restoring 10 hit points.))
((It is rough to know how hurt the players are right now. I can't see anyone's character sheets to know their max hit points or stats or anything. Fortunately for Talindra, my wife was bemoaning her stabbity fate when I got back from jogging this morning!))
(Initiative!: 18
Raff's Initiative: 22
((Initiative: 17))
Alright, here's your order of Combat:
Raff
Mortimer
Fenrir
Enri
Talindra
Fargrim
The Crew
Fish Dudes 1-8
Fish Dude Leader
Roll your attacks and damage in the same post. After every round, I'll give you a wrap-up of what happened and how dead (or not) everything is. Raff, you're up first. GET TO FIGHTING.
Raff is surprisingly quick for a Tortle. He attempts to bash the hell out of whoever is nearest to him.
Attack: 9 for 5 damage with his shortsword.
((Not sure if I should be waiting for DM response to Raff's attack regarding if that hit or not before taking Mortimer's turn.))
Enri aims his pistol and takes a shot at Fish Dude Leader!
9 (plus 4 if combat counts as an ability for Morty's spell!)
If successful, the pistol does 10 damage!
((Just go - we'll do Final Fantasy rules and multiple people attack and one of you kills it, I'll have you target the next available one))
Mortimer mutters a quick prayer and a radiant glow like roaring flames crashes down from the sky towards the fishy leader.
((Fish leader must succeed in a DC 13 dex saving throw or suffer 5 radiant damage.))
Fenrir roars a guttural war-cry in Giant (nonsensical, but scary-sounding) and leaps down from his perch. Not concerned with leadership, he charges straight for the nearest cluster of fishpeople, rapier flashing.

((Yep))
Scrambling across the deck, Mortimer slides up next to Talindra's unconscious body. He frantically presses a hand to her, growling, "Don't you die on us yet! Too much work for you to do still, Talender!"
((Casting Cure Wounds at 1st level, restoring 10 hit points.))
Wait, why was Morty hand on something squishy?
((Oh thank god I'm so glad someone brought Talindra back to life))
((It is rough to know how hurt the players are right now. I can't see anyone's character sheets to know their max hit points or stats or anything. Fortunately for Talindra, my wife was bemoaning her stabbity fate when I got back from jogging this morning!))
Raff looks like someone who, if you were to quantify his health in numbers, would be around a 2.
He attacks the fish man. No backing down for this Tortle.
Attack: 24 for 4 damage.
