Character Background
Stribog was born in Lake Home. Feeling up for a sense of doing some good in the world, he left home and traveled to the city of Stormreach and became part of the City Watch.
During one of his patrols a storm like no other had hit the city. Winds howled as the storm raged on. On this particular night Stribog was chasing a thief on the rooftops. Finally after chasing the thief across the city, they finally crossed blades. As the night raged on it was apparent that the thief was a better swordsmen than Stribog.
After being disarmed and receiving a mortal wound, Stribog was bleeding out. Something awoken in him and he unleashed a powerful arcane power that manifested with the storm. The manifestation left him unconscious. When he awake, the thief was gone and he lay wondering what had just happened. It didn't take him long to realize that the some how he had manifested in the magic arts. He quickly went to the Mongrave University and started training in the Art. Unlike most practitioners, Stribog didn't waste his time learning the defensive spells to help protect him. He instead focused solely on evocation spells, seeing that it would be so much easier to blast a person from a distance rather than trying to chace them.
Returning to Stormreach and continued his work with the City Watch, but this time it was different. He began small hitting some of the thieves on his patrol, but then continued to gain a reputation. Soon he lead an elite strike team who's sole purpose was to take out the most dangerous guilds that had infested the city.

Garrum grew up in the City of Stilts, Zarash'ak in the Shadow Marshes. His mark appeared on his body at a young age and he used it to help find Eberron shards. As he got older he became a skilled hunter, going farther and farther into the Marshes each time he went out to hunt. On one such occasion, he found a small gnome with a mark kind of like his, except it was over his whole body! The Mark of Siberys, the one above! The small creature was floating in the swamp on one of the largest crocodiles Garrum had ever seen. After nursing the gnome back to health he learned that his name was De'arnto d'Sivis and that he was separated from his party as they were searching for Eberron shards. De'arnto offered to pay Garrum 100 GP to get him out of the swamp and towards civilization. Garrum has never been offered so much money to do so little.
For three weeks they traveled until they finally trekked out of the swamps and made it towards the City of Stilts. Once in the City De'arnto offered that Garrum travel with him, see the world, make some coin. And with that, a great friendship was born. Now, years later we find them both in Sharn, City of Towers. De'arnto is going home on family business and Garrum is setting out towards Xen'drik, the place where his visions seem to be pointing him. The ones showing flames and lightning. The ones showing the dark, multi-eyed creatures as tall as anything he's ever seen.
Before parting ways Garrum's dear friend gives him a necklace, it is made out of crocodile teeth and has two Eberron shards on it. (two teeth, shard, three teeth, shard, two teeth.) He says that this will protect him from his visions but also help him find what he is looking for. They parted ways and Garrum made his way to Morgrave University to join a group of explorers that he will be traveling with. If only he knew what these visions mean and what he is to do about them.

I might be interested in this, but do we have to play as researchers? I have a Kenku warlock lined up that I've been dying to play, but he's a scamming scoundrel, not the University type.
Also, I'm not that familiar with Eberron or Zendrik, so I don't know if kenkus exist there or not. Also, what stat generation are we using?
Are you still recruiting? i made up this wonderful Kor Outlander Fighter for another Zendikar game but didn't get accepted. Though Honestly I think my Sorcerer Sage would be better suit for this one...or maybe I could make a Sage with a class thats would suit a more flexible character that would better suit the terrain.
That works for me! I've never done play by post so this is all really new for me.

Hi!
Sorry if this has been answered before but.. are the recruiting still open? I have an old concept of a warforged warrior that would love to play.
I've found this link with some rules for the warforged for the 5ed. if you like them.
http://www.eberron5e.com/creating-a-character/races/warforged
If not I could play any other thing needed or we can explore a little bit more.
Thanks in advance!
PbP Character: A few ;)
We are pretty full up right now. Not only that, but one of our members is already a Warforged Fighter.

Campaigns
Oethea's Chosen- Jiron Booyahn, Hobgoblin Artificer(Gunsmith).
Shackles of Silver- Dungeon Master
Ravnica, City of Guilds - Rukorm, Minotaur Fighter(Cavalier) - Izzet League
The flavor of a warlock making a pact with Ulamog or Emrakul is too awesome to pass up. I wish I'd seen this sooner.
Brunella Wildheart, Dwarf Barbarian,Tomb of Annihilation
Nyx, Fairy Cleric, Descent Into Avernus
This campaign has actually died now. It isn't open for recruiting, because the game tripped, broke its leg, and died.
