Ring of Winter
Ring of Spell Turning
Vorpal Longsword
Vicious longbow
Born of the womb of a dying thiefling while a group of adventurers, including a freak circus' owner, raided their area for mischief going arround, Bleela didn't have an easy life. In said raid the circus owner took curiosity on the strange colour she has, while mostly red, some blue hues can be seen. Growing into the circus of freaks she was laughed off every night, some called for her executions sooner than later and threw rotten food at her. With this she became angrier and angrier untill one day, at 12, she tried to stab the owner in the night, this happpened again 2 other times, and on the 3rd, at 15, she tried to finally run away flying. But the city's guard mages caught her and threw her into a cage in order to be returned, the owner called instead for her executionin a few days. Such rarity couldn't just go to waste, the blue in her body kept growing, while the red spots seemed to keep the same size as when she was just a baby, a blue thiefling's head wouldn't be as amazing in a living one, the local gladiator's cage owner offered to instead pay an undisclosed sum to the circus owner, with this he bought her from to fight in his arena, she could still die, but at least this would be a spectacle people would pay to see.
"Great another owner, and one with quite a few guards this time"...For 7 years she fought in the arena, for 7 years she learned to kill, she learned to survive, she learned how to turn the hearts of the public, and most impportant of all, she learned to controll herself and her body, by the end she was champion and considered a free thiefling, still she decided that 3 more years would improve her mastery of the weapons, with all this she became pretty fast to dodge and attack, beating drow and other races, she even faced, and won against mages in this area.... "Now the fun can start" she thought to herself, having aquired a magical blade, from an adventuring elf who decided to face her. She decided it was finally time to leave the arena and explore the world.
Wherever she went the rabble liked her but the nobles always scorned at such a low being being free, her hatred kept growing... "I cannot yet fight your bodyguards... but one day you'll see"... at 28, while adventuring, in a cold cave filled with ice giants she found something very strange at their god's shrine, a ring, it seemed like everything arround it was frozen, like it was the source of it, she took it and kept it with her, she noticed the cold seemed to follow, so she tried to wear it... "It felt cooler when I wasn't wearing it, shouldn't it be the other way?"... "freeze the world" the ring wispered... she heed no attention to it and followed on.
She kept going, mastering her weapons and herself, every day for at least 1 hour she trained, every day the ring whispered in her ear, but her focus kept her from following it... untill one day... after finishing the train, the ring whispered again, even louder this time, she was tired andher mind didn't bother to ignore it, she killed the village she was staying on, ice was left on her trails, luckly it was a very small village and no guards were in it... "Those didn't deserve, but not a soul shall care anyway, I'll come for the nobles soon" "You did well, keep on freezing" "I like the ring of that"... From here on, her path of betterment also turned into a path of destruction. She got into a few cities, destroyed them, and got a nickname for herself "The blue death", some mages started hunting her, most time they ended in the short end of her blades but sometimes she had no option but to escape... Untill she managed to get a Ring of Spell Turning from the body of 1 of them.
The mages were both a curse and a blessing, they made no place safe for her, but certainly they were better train than helpless villagers and small towns... It was finally time to catch a noble, 32 years have passed since she was born, 22 since the demon of killing awoke in her, 10 since her plan started, she would need more power for the big fish but she could finish one off for a reminder that even nobles aren't safe.... she started flying over the small town untill she located her target, a noble, a well dresssed man with a small entourage of bodyguards... "You won't escape this time", as she dropped she called out "Die as you allways called for my friends to die" the mage bodyguard created a protective dome arround the noble while the other members readied to fight "You scummy gladiator, you shall not live after that!" the noble called out, but those words were shortly cut out as his bodyguards became no more than dead bodies "For thirthy years your kind atnagonized me, I grew quitet, I was scared, but no more! I will finish you all, you call yourself nobles, but all you do is play with other's lives. You can do that but make sure you have the sthrenght to do it on your own" "Nooo! sto...Ugh!" . Never had she felt more pleasure than to finally take a noble's head out of its neck, and leaving it frozen to the side of a rotting body, it was both a statement and a show of power. Among the gear from the bodyguards there was a magical bow, she smiled and took it. "One down, maby I should try getting allies for the big fish".
As there are two of us that are archers (assuming we both get in) using an Oathbow and bracers of archery, I suggest a change to my character. I created this for my Shackled City campaign and would love to use it.
A spiked chain has reach, so you can strike opponents 10 feet away with it. In addition, unlike most other weapons with reach, it can be used against an adjacent foe.
Grapple Attack: Upon a successful hit you can attempt to grab your opponent with the chain (he must be no more than one size larger than you). Roll a 1d8 and add it to your damage roll for the grapple DC. Opponent then makes Strength (Athletics) or Dexterity (Acrobatics) check (the target chooses the ability to use), against the grapple DC, if he fails he is grappled. If the opponent does not free himself before your next action you can sustain the grapple if he doesn't make the DC a second time he is restrained. Each succeeding round your opponent is grappled or restrained he takes an additional 1d4+strength piercing damage.
Or
Trip Attack: Upon a successful hit you can attempt to trip your opponent with the chain (he must be no more than one size larger than you). Roll a 1d8 and add it to your damage roll for the trip DC. Opponent then makes a Strength (Athletics) or Dexterity (Acrobatics) check (the target chooses the ability to use), if he fails he is prone
Proficiency with a morningstar allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
If you would allow this, I would charge my God Stat to Str. Make the spiked chain a Life Stealing weapon.
When you attack a creature with this magic weapon and roll a 20 on the attack roll, that target takes an extra 10 necrotic damage if it isn't a construct or an undead. You also gain 10 temporary hit points.
Proficiency with a longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
I didn't get a message with an invite, so I'm assuming I didn't get in. So, no worries from my end on the oathbow :)
He'll pm in about 2 days as it's the end of the time he initially said he'd give to create characters, he'll also post here the chosen ones, so no one is chosen yet
If I was to go the above route. I would swap the Bracers of Archery for a Ring of Invisibility. The feat Sharpshooter for the feat Savage Attacker.
The Spiked Chain will still be a family heirloom.
The Ring of Invisibility belonged to the bodyguard of one of the two rulers that I assassinated for killing my family. Even though I have See Invisibility spell, I didn't see him in time and was greatly wounded before killing the bodyguard. After which I quickly stabbed the ruler in the heart with my poisoned dagger and fled into the night. To this day if you look closely at my back you will see a scar that should have killed me.
I would probably to play the archer, but having created this cool weapon ot would be fun also. If I am chosen, let me know which version you like better.
(I haven't sent the invites, I'm doing that tonight. You still might be in)

When you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can expend one superiority die to attempt to knock the target down. You add the superiority die to the attack’s damage roll, and if the target is Large or smaller, it must make a Strength saving throw. On a failed save, you knock the target prone.

Yeah the Battlemaster’s save DC is based off his str or dex. It’s a static number, just like spellcaster save DCs.
