Merrick once again pops up to shoot a gnoll, this time the one attacking Dyoken. Dyoken is Merrick's hiding place, and this gnoll is trying to trash it. "Hey! That's my guy, friend. I don't mean he's my guy friend, I mean he's my guy, and you're the friend. Well not a friend, but it's a figure of speech. Kind of like when Luthok tells me to shut up, I know it's just a figure of speech, and what he really means is 'I love you Merrick, and I'm glad you're around.' Well don't worry Luthok, I feel the same way," says Merrick, his eyes misting up."I love you too. *snif*. I love you just the way you are you big old teddy bear you. Come here for a hug."
Merrick gives Luthok a big wet hug. "My eyes are wet because of the rain. Yeah, it's the dang rain."
He then hides behind the old dwarf. Or at least tries to. Maybe it's because of this beautiful moment between the two, but Merrick can't quite seem to concentrate on being quite as quiet as usual. The rain is in his eyes. Yes, it's the damn rain. It's not tears. It's the damn rain.
Merrick manages to hit the gnoll despite all the not-tears in his eyes. The gnoll that was attacking DK is no more. Of course, no one is crying, who said anything about crying!?
The next two gnolls were about to run up to DK, but see their gnoll bro is dead now and see Merrick not-crying behind Luthok and carrying a bow. ... Arrow... bow... HE DID IT! They yip and run up to Merrick and try to snuff him.

Luthok bashes one gnoll on the head that slumps down quite easily to the blow and the other that arrived is hacking, wheezing, and falls over dead covered in spores that grow into little mushrooms.
There are no more enemies technically, but, this fight has been loud and it sounds like more are on the way if that howling is to be believed. The door to the mansion is wide open, but you have to act fast before you get swarmed by gnolls on the street as well. What do you do?

Our heroes run into the mansion and see a long hallway in front of them with a couple of gnolls running their way. Muireach sees the bloodlust in their eyes as they draw their spears-! But that is short lived as two arrows fly out and find their mark in gnoll heads. Mercy takes a deep breath as she lowers her bow, "The princess is here somewhere. She's probably brawling somewhere in here. Where should we start?"
In this entry way, there is a long hallway in front of you and doors on either side leading into what seems like small rooms. (Marked by brown on the map.) Down the hall is a large room with open doors. From outside you can see its empty aside from some plants and a piano. In fact, much of this building looks like nature is trying to reclaim it as parts of the ground have plant life bursting through. Walking through here isn't difficult... yet.
There are also halls continuing left and right as well as stairs going upstairs on either side of the hallway.

It's definitely not a quiet house. It feels like there is activity echoing throughout the halls. None of the rooms nearby the entrance hall seem to have any signs of life sound-wise.

As the Gnoll swings its spear at Dyoken the blade connects but isn't able pierce the barbarian's thick skin. A moment later the creature is put down by Merrick's arrow.
The battle comes to an end and Dyoken follows Luthok inside. He walks un-cautiously into the piano room at the end of the hall.
The piano room as the scene of recent carnage. Stepping inside, DK first realizes there are gnoll bodies piled up in the corners of the room. Like much of what he has seen, vegetation seems to be taking the mansion over. Vines and other forms of overgrowth have broken through the tiled floors and crawl up the walls and sides of the room.
The next thing he notices is that this room has a very high ceiling. In fact, this room is overseen by a balcony above him. He hears the distinct echoing of grunts and snarls emanating from upstairs.
