Muireach spins a chair aroundand places it in front of Oozebeard along with a gold piece and a smile, while motioning to Linia, “It’s on me.” He then locks eyes with the mask, “Now, it seems we’re two of a kind, strange creatures that is. I know why I’m here, but what could bring you to a town like this?”
"I am not obliged to tell you anything and gods be damned i don't need your charity."Luthok grabs the fine wooden staff on his side, it looks like a solid piece of root or branch with a gnarled shaft that ends in several small moss-covered branches protruding from the tip of it. He points it towards the elf for a second as he says. "Maybe i feel more inclined if you tell me why you are here first? You don't seem like any knife-ear I have seen, and i have seen plenty in my day." He leans back and puts the staff across his lap, waiting for whatever beverage the waitress brings him.

Linia, enjoying the flirtations of Merrick suddenly facefaulted as the old dwarf screamed at her. She was one of the few nearby who saw his face, and she turned a pale white.
Those from this town know of the stories of old Oozebeard. A man covered in fungi. Linia's ma used to warn her that he would come for her if she was a naughty child.
Without another word she left the table. After a few moments, the halfling woman returned quietly with a tankers of ale and quickly scampered off again, not wanting to be near Oozebeard longer than she had to be.

“You’re correct. I am much more. I come from the Feywild. I am Eladrin, the highest and most pure form of elf that any should ever see. My reasons for being here are simple. I desire to become the true Lord of Heroes, yet the only way for me to do that begins here on the material plane.”

Apparently I cause distress among the downsfolk." The last sentence comes out with a snort and lifts his mask for a few seconds to chug the entire of tankard of ale in a matter of seconds. Luthok places the mask firmly on his face right as the tankard hits the table after finishing his drink.

Pipsqueak!? I'm not a pip --- GHHEYYAYAAA AIEEEEE!!!
Merrick screams, more shrilly than he would have liked, and backpedals on his hands as the dwarf reveals his ghastly visage. Merrick looks like he's about to be sick, as a large chunk of mottled beardsauce falls on the table.
Muireach laughs, “Yes, I suppose you’re right, for now at least. Nevertheless, my title is not simple pomp. It is my very name and it is my very own prophecy. I will one day become the lord of all heroes, the greatest and most noble among them all. My finding of Calibolg assures my destiny.”

Merrick listens with half an ear to Muireach's story. He absentmindedly takes a small dagger from his pocket, and spins and twirls it around his knuckles. The blade dances gracefully around his hands, falling, flipping, and spinning, but never out of control.
"Speaking of our dessert..." Dyoken attempts to flag down the Halfling girl, though she seems to have lost interest in serving the table as readily.
As Muireach indicates his divine mandate he interjects, "You found it, huh?" Dyoken asks, "Did a strange woman lying in a pond toss it to you? Cause that's the sort of thing I could get behind."
"So just because you found something unique that makes you "the chosen one" in this scenario. So since I have these on my face.." Luthok puts a finger under his mask, fishes out a slimy fungus and flicks it onto the table in front of Muireach. "So since i have these.. I am special and need to go venturing out like any other pipsqueak or fancy schmancy knife-ear?"

Merrick's ears pick up on hearing this. "Found it in a tree? That's interesting! You know, there's all sorts of things to be found in trees. I found a nest of giant yellowjackets once. Boy did they NOT want to be disturbed. Those things were the size of melons. And boy do they sting. You have to run fast to get away from them. I had to jump in a stream, and even then they circled around looking for me. I wonder if there was a mystical blade there too. Probably, otherwise why were they so angry? Did someone say dessert? I wonder if they have anything good here.
"By the way, are you sure that blade doesn't have a rightful owner looking for it, perhaps a cursed fiend walking the world in an undying oath of vengeance to reclaim their lost prize and destroy the one who dared disturb its sacred rest? Just a thought."
Merrick stands up on the table and looks around, seeing if there's anything tasty for dessert.

Dyoken's grin stops as he finds a very sharp, very accurately placed dagger right at his sizeable adam's apple.
"Flirting is one thing, but don't disrespect a halfling woman in my presence,"whispers Merrick softly. "Would hate to see more apples cut than need be."
Then, to give the large man a way to save face, Merrick laughs. "We've all had a few beers haven't we? Let's get those apple pies here, to keep our eyes and noses from the other chunks at the table". Merrick points to the puddle of gooey chunks near the dwarf.
Dyoken scoots his chair a little further from the dwarf as he wonders to himself if he really is dangerous, or if whatever he's got is catching.
