"Who said anything about necromancy?" Dyoken asks as he steps within reach of the old man. "Just like who?" He adds keeping his eyes on the old man rather than the tin man. (Intimidation: 18)
"Er, I, um-"Garamon stumbles over his words as he looks from DK to Urich. Urich shrugs. "There is another matching that description that you have. Sort of. A weird mark-"
"Yeah, a weird mark. You mention a daughter of a death god and come lookin' to pick up my necromancy book. No way you are just doing a librarian a favor, eh?"Urich grins. "I mean, I welcome you all to leave if you feel like tryin' to intimidate my pal. I just thought I'd do you a solid so you can learn a lil' somethin' and leave me alone." The gnome narrows his eyes as he looks up at DK. Despite their size difference, Urich seems unfazed.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"If you're pal is intimidated when I speak at you, it's out of his wisdom, not from my trying." DK stops a moment to think if that made sense, and if it's what he meant.
"Everyone knows those late fees are just a formality. It's harmful to society as a whole to hold books from the library. I could probably pay the late fees for the whole city and still afford my lunch." Dyoken looks the man over. "What are you researching? We may not look like heavy readers, but you can't judge a sword by its sheath, as they say. Maybe you help us, and we help you, and the librarians get their book back to boot." He offers, but he watches the man for signs of deceit, though its not his strong suite. (Insight: 15)
Muireach noticed that Urich's eyebrows both raised slightly at the name Grimmore. A look of recognition perhaps, or surprise.
"Is that some new things the kids are saying these days?" Urich chuckles. He seems pretty casual right now even when he seemed to be speaking sternly toward you. It's hard to discern if anything he says is a lie or not. "Howze 'bout I look at the mark, and maybe we can see if we can help each other out, huh? Otherwise, I think we are at an impasse."

Muireach’s blank expression curls into that same unnerving smile, “A fine deal.” Muireach extends a hand and gestures to Vivi, “Ms. Vivi, if you would.”
He watches for any change in the wizard’s demeanor.
Vivi nods solemnly. She stands and turns her back to the room. With help (possibly from Luthok), her mark comes into view as the collar of her dress is lowered enough to show just the mark.
Urich tilts his head inquisitively. "Huh." He waddles over but stays a respectable distance from the girl. He strokes his bare chin. "Hmmm."
"My word, spit it out!" Garamon taps his foot. A rattling sound echoes from within. "What do you have to say?"
"This is pretty heavy."Urich looks over to Muireach. "This branding, uh, this isn't good. For her - or for you guys for that matter. This mark pulls double duty. In short, it acts like a tracker and I'm pretty sure her phylactery is embedded here. 'Course, this is just my rudimentary glance. See. Wasn't I helpful?" He grins and chuckles to himself.

Garamon nodded as Muireach spoke. "Yes, please elaborate on this point. And do explain what a phylactery is. I definitely know what one is, but clearly the rest of these people don't!"
"Sure thing. A phylactery can be almost anything in shape, but all phylacteries are highly magical. In this case, the phylactery in the girl's body has necromancy attached to it that keeps her soul bound to her body. It takes a lot of effort, and money, to create such a thing, so, whoever did this had to be a pretty big deal or rich."
"Maybe even both!"
"Yep. You said something about 'Grimmore,' right? Well, that's his symbol."Urich points at the elk-like skull mark on Vivi's back. "An ancient death god. It's part of what I'm researching. Not necessarily the god, but the necromancy of the past. They say his followers had incredible powers. Your girl here seems to be the result of such a thing. She's definitely dead, but also not."

"We are all, but dust in the wind." Dyoken says, he continues "We've encountered two of Grimer's Deadly Daughters. It seemed likely the symbol was being used to track us, but we're not willing to end our friend to remove the threat. You've encountered this symbol before?" DK asks, and describes Seven. "Seven is a Desert Elf, a girl of similar apparent age to our friend here, as seems to be the case with all of Grimer's Kidz. Did you encounter Seven? Or another Daughter?"
"You could say that. Not a desert elf, but, something similar. Kind of."Urich crosses his arms and looks up. It seems like he isn't sure how to explain whatever it is he is talking about. "But the tracker? You don't have to kill the girl or anything. I could remove it for you if you'd like."
"Wow, that's really nice of you-"
"For a favor."Urich chuckles as Garamon grumbles to himself. "If you agree, I'll remove her mark. In exchange, I'd like you to find and bring back my dog. He's small, white, and has weird horns. Could ya agree to that? Seems like a simple enough task. The time frame for the job... well, he's a bit tricky. Maybe two months. I've got plenty of time to wait."
"Ugh. I'd rather they didn't find that mongrel!" Garamon poses dramatically. "It's always licking my armor!"

"Very well." Dyoken says. "Will you remove the effect up front?" He asks, and adds wondering about gog. "Your pet seems to have taken his own interest in our quest... Speaking of quests. Is there anything we could take to the library on your behalf? They would still like their book back. Not to mention our friend napping over there has an interest in it as well."
When those points are settled he asks about Seven. "When did you see Seven? I'm wondering if she came to you after she escaped us, or before she attacked us, and why..."
Luthok scratches his beard while listening to Urich and the party while they discuss the matter of Vivis mark. As Dyoken mentions him napping he shoots in. "I am very much awake, doofus! And yes, I have some interest in the book." When Dyoken asks about Seven, Luthok looks seemingly annoyed. "The sooner we find the knife-ear the sooner we can fix you amateurs bloody mistakes and snuff her like we should have done at the beginning! As for returning the beast, if it gets rid of these lunatics trying to murder us for harbouring their "sister" consider me the fricking dog-catcher."
