Dire wolf Leek leaps up and clamps his jaws around the ogre's thick neck. The ogre reels back, pries the jaws open with one hand and throws Leek back to the ground. The ogre's neck bleeds profusely and the ogre wobbles a bit from the damage it has taken, but still stands. It is looking rough.
Elila rushes up to the ogre and slashes its hamstring in an attempt to make it collapse to the ground. As her sword cuts through the back of the ogre's leg, a large fount of blood gushes out of the wound as a major artery gets severed. The ogre bellows in pain and falls to the ground in a thunderous impact. The volume of the screaming diminishes until it is barely a wimper, when it says in giant (only Elila undrestands), "Just hungry." As the stream turns red from the ogre's blood, the eyes glaze over.
All of you travel for the remainder of the day and camp once more, choosing to approach Thundertree in the light of early morning instead of the failing light of dusk. The next day you make your approach. Gradually, the trail becomes an old, overgrown lane winding between dilapidated buildings choked in vines and brush. Ahead of you, in the middle of the settlement, rises a steep hill, upon which stands a stone tower with a partially collapsed roof and an adjoining cottage. A dirt road hugs the base of the hill and wends its way between old stone houses, many of which are roofless ruins with interiors open to the weather. Other buildings appear more or less intact. The whole place is eerily silent.
A wooden sign is nailed to a post nearby. It reads: “DANGER! Plant monsters AND zombies! Turn back now!”
I will ask the animals if they have seen any dead beings or large plants in the town (using language they understand) If they can tell me where they hang out that would be nice!
Leek seeks out local wildlife and has quite a bit of difficulty. Given the town is being overrun by wilderness, the area should be teeming with all kind of little beasts. Yet the only ones he manages to find are those that are there out of desperation. The little beast mostly say the same things:
The dangerous plants hide with the non dangerous plants.
The should-be-food-that-stink-of-fire don't move from where they are unless approached, then attack.
Must stay hidden from the large flying predator. Much better to hide with the dangerous plants.
Stay away from the food wasters. Their scraps are mine!
The party walks down the now overgrown path, the familiar Klednir scouting ahead from the air. Klednir reports to Rindelk there is no movement or threatening creatures nearby. The buildings to the south have collapsed and are overgrown with shrubbery.

Everyone gets 90 XP.
Rindelk sternly addresses the group, 'Next time, let me parlay with the creature before we kill it!? Elila, what did the ogre say?"
Elila responds, saddened, "He was just hungry."
Rindelk says in a low voice, "He would have made a formidable ally. Shame..."

I would like to send Klednir up ahead to scout.
BEFORE WE LEAVE CAMP
Leek will say: "Friend, next time an evil creature approaches, we will let you parlay. We will wait to attack it once it is done eating you..."
AT THE ABANDONED TOWN:
I will look around for an animal I can converse with.
I will ask the animals if they have seen any dead beings or large plants in the town (using language they understand) If they can tell me where they hang out that would be nice!

Seems like a great place here.
Do I have a description of the druid we are looking for? If so, I will ask the animals if they have seen him/her.
You do your best to describe a human and the beasts answer, "There are many in the area."
Yay! Lots of zombies!
Elila moves to C3, Kat moves to C3 but behind Elila.
Rin moves to B2, Klednir moves to D4.
I want to wait until the birdie gives us a scouting report before moving into that hellhole....
Rolling perception (with advantage) for Klednir:
Perception: 13

hmm shrubbery.
Well, let's start slowly searching the place, I guess...
