"Oh, you don't have to be interviewed, but I'm sure the others back at the university will want to read about your success here, even students and professors not having a great personal interest in gymnastics will feel proud over you and how fabulously well you all represented Strixhaven in todays event." The purple-skinned tiefling says with an encouraging smile after finishing taking his notes. "I wouldn't be surprised if there are other students interested in joining your team now."

Guardok waits for the waitress to return with his food, listening to Mal's interviews.

Mae is just sitting on the edge of things, watching and making small talk to anyone that comes by. Her dinner order is much plainer than her breakfast was, but she keeps a pleasant demeanor throughout the evening.

Malvyn finishes up talking with Ipatix and Brenyra.  A short while later Conys comes over to give her thoughts on the competition. "I thought Aven Academy had some pretty strong competitors. I think it was pretty fortunate for our team to come through and win.  My performances were not as good as I might have hoped, but others came through. I'm proud though of winning on the Uneven Bars."

Everyone's food arrives and in little time people are finishing up their meals.  Zanther eventually calls out, "All right Strixhaven crew!  It's time for us to get heading back.  Let's all gather up and head back to the campus to teleport back. No stragglers now!"  He seems to be looking over the group as they stand, counting numbers in his head and making sure nobody is missing.  "Conys knows the way. Go ahead and follow her," he says. She heads out as he lingers to help with stragglers. 

After the great meal, Guardok is quite full and a little disappointed that it is time to leave already. However, when Zanther calls for the gymnastics crew to fall in and follow Conys he fitfully obliges.

Not before once again thanking his floor-mates for taking the trip, which ends up making him one of the stragglers after all.

"I hope the journey back is ok, and that you enjoy the rest of your time here looking around. Sorry I have to go, but well, you know. Busy, busy at the moment".

Mae stood up and wished Guardok well, and the others, then looked at Mei and Mal and Knap, leaving her share of gold on the table for the service (and probably Mei's as well) and suggested they return to the inn to rest before they make the trek back.

Malvyn too stands up and says farewell to Guardok and the rest of the gymnastics team. A part of him had hoped to explore the city some more but it had been an eventful day and he found himself missing Aurora. Perhaps it was best to simply call it a night.

Guardok follows after Conys and is soon on his way back to Strixhaven and an evening rehearsal.  

It isn't all that late in the afternoon at this point, as the floormates remaining in Silkmeadow return to the inn. There are several hours until the sun sets and of course, the rest of the evening as well.  The carriage will not take you back to Strixhaven until tomorrow morning.  

If there is a performance at the music hall there that night, Mae will inquire about getting a ticket, at least for herself, but otherwise wouldn't mind window shopping a bit before trying out the mineral spa at the inn.

Back at the inn, Mae finds out that a number of the restaurants and taverns found within a few blocks have music of some sort in the evenings.  They also mention that the Silkmeadow Theater is presenting a show of excerpts of various ballet pieces tonight. 

As you noted before, there are a few shops in the area.  And you also heard of the Grand Bazar which had even more variety of wares being sold. 

Mae will inquire about seeing the ballet at the theater and will get tickets for herself and anyone else if they wish to join her. Then she would be glad to go shopping before the evening show if people are going out. And food. She wants food too.

”The ballet! I’ve never seen. I’ll join you Mae.” Knap says as he hops the very tippy top of his hooves, which have taken on an obsidian like sheen to them.

“I’m curious about the who’s-who of Silkmeadow’s nightlife and high culture. Dinner and a show. Maybe pick up a nice scarf along the way.” 

The purple-skinned tiefling is not quite as enthusiastic as his roomie, but he almsot feels obliged to explore Silkmeadow, maybe he would have some good stories to bring back home to Aurora. "I'll come too." He says with a small smile, ready to follow the lead of the others, hoping he wouldn't run into trouble over his sinister appearance.

Guardok heads back through the portal with the other members of the gymnastics team, but unlike most of them, who could head home to relax he would only get a quick stop at his dorm room to wash and change before heading out to rehearsals.

"Well, can't hang around, my other club want my time. Hope you will all think about coming to the play we are putting on next week".

Tickets for the ballet are 2 sp per person for general seating. There are options for private balcony seating, but that is more like 10 gp.  The show is later in the evening, giving you plenty of time for a little shopping and even a meal beforehand. 

If possible Malvyn would want to spend some time visiting the city's finest library to look for esoteric texts. He would later rejoin with the others to see the ballet from a general seat.

Mae will pay for her and Mei and then head off to the markets for some shopping and some dinner. Mae will keep an eye out for a small fish trinket or decoration or something that isn't too expensive. She will also keep a lookout for a dress to wear for the ballet later, something more elegant than her traveling clothes.

Anyone Malvyn speaks to would lead him to The Silkmeadow Library.  It holds a vast collection of books and scrolls on every subject imaginable. Many scholars go there to research and study the mysteries of the world. Ordinary individuals can come to learn and broaden their horizons. It is not in the same neighborhood as the hotel where you are staying, but by carriage it would be closer than the Aven Academy.  And The Silkmeadow Theater where the ballet would be at is just another short carriage ride.  

Arriving at the library, Malvyn finds an ornate stone building.  Tall double doors enter into a large foyer.  There seems to be an information desk in the middle.  To both the left and the right are curving stone staircases that go up to at least 3 additional levels.  A railing at each level opens out onto the foyer, and you can see rows upon rows of bookshelves filling the space.  A smaller arched passageway leads further into the building on the ground floor level.  You glimpse a number of scroll racks through that direction.  Beside the owlin man at the information desk, there are probably another 5 or 6 people moving through the chamber - either headed out, up the stairs, or into the back.  They all seem to meader freely through the space. 

Mae can find quite a few shops with dresses of different sorts. There is a small collection of items around 15 gp but most are around 25 to 50 gp.  The lower priced ones are simple but made from finer cloth or perhaps adorned with a couple small gems. Styles range all over the place, some with lace, some frilly, some with elaborate billowing cloth, others tight fitting, some with high collars, and some with plunging necklines. 

Quite a few places have jewelry available.  Most of these involve gems or precious metals and run at least 10 gp. You do find a couple that are metal shaped like a fish and a couple where precious stones have been carved to look like a fish. 

(OOC - I'm assuming Malvyn and Mae have separated. Mei and Knap can join one or the other or do their own thing!) 

Guardok makes it back to Dresar Hall for a brief moment. The only person present is Lesviel who greets the earth genasi. "Hey, how are you? It's been a pretty quiet weekend around here."  She seems to be reading something for class, so only chats a moment before going back to her studies. 

After a quick wash and change, he is out and makes it to rehearsal. "Hey, welcome back!" Rubina says, coming over to greet you as soon as you arrive. "How did the gymnastics meet go. That was earlier today, right?" Quentillius comes over as well. "Yes, how did it go?" he asks. 

Mei is an enthusiastic dress-shopping partner who happily helps Mae however she can in finding the perfect one. She tags along with the others up until they leave for the ballet, staying instead at the markets. In the hopes of finding souvenirs to send home to her siblings, as well as any regional snacks to bring back for the Iron Lifters, Lesviel, Piero, Guardok, and Cadoras, she'll spend the rest of the evening perusing the stores and stalls. Anything interesting or out of the ordinary she encounters, she'll pause to sketch alongside drawings of Guardok and Zanther in various gymnastic moves and their expressions when receiving the medals. 

The young diviner tries her hand at haggling if necessary and, if she has enough money left, will also look a silk garment for herself. Perhaps a nice scarf or... lingerie.
