Just saw Steve’s post. Ok, can send in Trolkarl and Chadwick. Willing to switch with Starker or keep the lineup the same?
one effect that switching Starker and Kragen May have is to demonstrate that there are more of us he may not be privy to at this point, May give him pause on screwing with us??
however that should not last long when word gets out from the warehouse district.
Just saw what Chris wrote above. That seems good also. If Kragen goes instead then he should attune and sincerely divine what he can before the meeting
Let's wait the hour so Chadwick can attune to the orb. I feel like he is invested in finding Lady Stormrider and reading between the lines it sounds like charisma will be important to it. How does this sound for the question:
"Where can I find Lady (insert first name) Stormrider?"
Feel free to group think tweak the question it since I'll be going AFK for the next few hours.
For the meeting let's send the other group first, then those of us meeting with Vox ten minutes or so afterwards. That way if things do go south we have some backup. Chadwick was doing a lot of talking and spinning the story about his cousins friend he wanted to bang, so he should probably take the lead for negotiations. That said with me being unavailable for awhile if it'll be easier to have someone else do it rather than me that makes sense.

Good with that.
if Kragen is not with the negotiation team. He will hit the casino and discreetly use his Observant feat to read lips and see if he can pick up on anything if interest. Should have been using this in these types of situations.
If you can see a creature's mouth while it is speaking a language you understand, you can interpret what it's saying by reading its lips.
Chadwick attunes to the Oracle Orb of Aqualith and poses his question: "Where can I find Lady Arin Stormrider?" The fish stares at him implacably for several moments and then stirs up silt from the bottom of the globe. Waving its fins about the image of a cave appears. The perspective seems to move back and up a set of spiral stairs to a small room.
The silt settles and the fish goes back to swimming about the globe.
Gneuman finds a place to be on the streets near the Lucky Lady. He is carrying the Rukh. The streets are busy so he doesn't feel he has a hard time looking inconspicuous.
Kragen and Hoid enter the gaming hall minus the great sword. Large weapons are not allowed. Kragen engages in gaming while Hoid scowls behind him.
Starker, Chadwick and Trolkarl arrive to the lucky lady minus the lucern hammer. Large weapons are not allowed. Chadwick has the Oracle Orb of Aqualith with him. As you enter, you see Durgan Vox's aide approach and he shows you to a table at the edge of the seating area. Wine, Year Beer and ale are on the table already with a variety of tapas style food bites. "Gentlemen, welcome to the Lucky Lady," the aide says while seating you. "It is a busy night with much entertainment available. Please enjoy these refreshments while the planned events are arranged." Looking about you see that the prominent seating area Durgan Vox previously used is empty, but the two guards remain at the foot of the stairs leading to it. The gaming floor is busy with many engaging in games of chance. Many of the table in the dining area are filled overlooking the gaming floor. "Please enjoy," the aide says with a smile as he departs.
Starker will sit at the indicated table and use Cyrus as a food/beverage taster, playing with the commestibles himself but not tasting/eating any for at least 10 minutes after Cyrus had consumed one of its type with no perceived ill effect. While doing so he looks around to see if anyone is watching him or has noticed Team B.
There is a small stage off to one side of the gaming floor you did not notice the last time you were here. A curtain rises and oil lamps are lit to illuminate the stage. Two humans and an orc come on stage with instruments and begin to play a lively song. The orc sings in a wonderful baritone voice along with the music.
Cyrus tries the foods and has not yet died.
Starker observes the gambling hall. No one seems to be paying any particular attention to your group. Most are conversing among themselves or following along with the music if they are not gambling.
The night progresses with entertainers of all sorts. There are musical groups like lead off the night, jugglers, tumblers and acrobats as well as dancers. Some of the dancers make Chadwick blush. You are served additional drinks as you desire and a selection of entree items is offered. The night seems to be a night of revelry and import, but you are lost on the reason. About 2 hours passes and still no sign of Durgan Vox.
You do see the aide walking around the tables and talking with the customers. He seems to be on good relations with everyone he speaks with. Slowly he is making his way to your side of the room in no particular pattern.
Starker: “Perhaps we should offer to come back another night? I am feeling increasingly uncomfortable. Has there been a coup, is Vox mouldering in an unmarked grave? [covering his mouth so lip readers who aren’t allies can’t see the following] Has his adversary discovered Vox’s role in the early morning events at the warehouse and taken revenge? Just sitting here for hours seems unwise. Trokarl, Chadwick, what think you?”
"Certainly never saw anything like this during Beltane back home." Chadwick says appreciatively.
"We were wondering when Mr. Vox may be making an appearance?" Chadwick watches his reaction looking for signs of nervousness or falsehood.
If the side says it will be awhile yet he asks if he could speak with the bard when he finishes up. "Bards always have the best stories and I imagine one here even more so."

That seems good plan. Trolkarl along with Starker and Chadwick can meet with Vox.
And in that case it may be useful to have Chadwick attune and give a signal if there are any discrepancies in what he learns and Vox’s responses.
We can let Vox know we have the item but we only exchange it when we have her.

Gneuman and Ajax will remain "hidden" nearby when the meeting takes place.

Chadwick has communed with the fish. You now sit, mulling over how to proceed, at your incognito inn.
Plans?
I think this is the plan:
Three teams leave the Incognito Inn separately:
Team A: Trokarl, Chadwick, Starker, Cyrus
Team B: Hoid, Kragen
Team C: Gneuman, Ajax (with the booty)
Team C finds a place near enough to Vox’s so they can hear a commotion or a hail
Team B goes into Vox’s place as regular customers and mingle unobtrusively
10 minutes later Team A goes into Vox’s and asks to speak to him
I approve

“Planned events?”

Chadwick will partake in the food and drink while keeping an eye out for anything suspicious.
"Planned events" does sound a little...trap like?
Can Chadwick carry his Cutlass and daggers?
Cutlass and daggers on person

Are the guards by Vox's private area the same as before?
Mimicking Starkers tactics, "Are those the same guards that were there before? Perhaps just paranoia, but could Vox's rival staged a coup?
