Kragen, seeing that Starker is unharmed (maybe not his pride), backs away from the ruckus toward the direction the others went in an attempt to discreetly provide cover. All the while looking aghast and afraid of what is occurring.
"Someone needs to get this rabble under control, Guards!?" waving the Guard on, coming from the south hallway.
The human brawler, Sphinkx, presses his attack against the orc. Fists to hit = 23 for 7 and 27 for 10 bludgeoning damage. The orc then makes a STR save to avoid grapple = 15.
Grak remains in place in a defensive stance. He looks out into the arena quickly to see what is transpiring there. More cheers erupt from the crowd.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The orc brawler loses his composure and goes ham on the orcs attacking him now. Fist to hit = 23 for 6 and 10 for 5 bludgeoning damage. The orc makes a STR save = 12 to avoid being PRONE.
If the guards are busying focusing on the Orc brawler, Kragen will sneak into the door in which Gnueman entered. Concerned for his well being and not knowing exactly where Starker fleeted off to, he investigates that room.
Hoid and Starker quickly enter the room with Kragen. The door is unlocked. You seem to have entered a store room. There is a large number of barrels and casks stacked around the edges of the room. Muddy foot prints are on the ground. An iron grate is in the floor. A wooden door is in the ceiling leading to the floor above. A number of crates can be seen in the back corner of the room.
Is the iron grate of such a size as to conceal a spiral staircase or a ladder?
”Is all well here with you and friend Gneuman?
“There were two rooms off the west wall of the western corridor. I did not have an opportunity to go into them but at least one seemed to be a room where fighters were preparing based on sounds I heard. Perhaps on our way out we can go back that way to make sure I didn’t miss anything.
“If this grate doesn’t conceal a spiral staircase or a ladder should we leave? Or should I ask to be taken to the owner to complain of and seek reparations for my injury in tge faint hope oc kearnkng something of interest?”
The grate on the floor is set into the floor. It looks removable, but not recently. It appears to be access to a sewer tunnel below.
The barrels and casks are all ales, meads and other imbibables. There are many muddy footprints seen on the floor around the room. The crates have dried meats, nuts and dried fruit.
You all pay attention to the footprints throughout the room. All appear to be boots, consistent with what you are seeing the orcs wearing. The pattern is in the middle of the room.
Starker says, "Hey, there seems to be two way traffic here. And, look at that print on the side of the crate." He points to a boot print of a much smaller size and a print that seems more consistent with a female boot.
Starker searches the area where there is a gap in the stacked boxes. Investigating the wall, he finds a seam outlining a 4' tall x 3' wide rectangle in the wall.
To the group "If this leads to the outside, we can use it and bring Trolkarl and Chadwick through the door?"
"I have one 3rd level spells left, if i use on Sending to Trolkarl i will be spent of my most potent capabilities.", "Starker, can you find the mechanism?"
Take extra time and study the area of and around the seam for signs of a means or a mechanism to open what Starker imagines to be a door. Some light rapping and pushing and prodding will likely be involved
investigation check before any generous bonus for taking extra time = 18
A quick sensory check shows Chadwick’s shoulder as Cyrus’ perch. Trolkarl is there as well. They are badly pretending to be casually loitering out front of Fight Club.
Stsrker’s experimentation results in the presumed door moving inwards and then swinging to the left to reveal a small room beyond. A stone circular stairwell descends into darkness. It is old stonework. Centuries old.

That orc is prone and the brawler continues to attack him on the ground, to hit = 15 for 7 and 12 for 7 additional bludgeoning damage.
That guard is a bloody, unconscious mess.
The remaining guard looks around to see if any help is coming and takes a Dodge action.
Another guard arrives from around the corner. Initiative = 5
Kragen to act.

There is a pile of barrels and crates in the center of the room under the trap door. Kragen points up there and says “Gneuman is up there.”

Do the footprints lead anywhere, such as the sole door into the room? Or are they centered around the grate?

Cyrus should be with Chadwick and/or Trokarl?
