The air here becomes more damp as you approach through the tunnel. It opens up to reveal a subterranean lake. An island of brightly colored flora is seen. Much of this flora radiates a soft, phosphorescent glow. Low hanging branches of the trees on the shore drop leaves and berries into the water. A low stone bridge crosses the water to the island.
Chadwick says "Nope, I've had enough of this weird glowing fairy shit last month." Then turns around and heads back towards the spiral staircase to check out the other passage running west.
Hoid says, “I am in agreement with brave Sir Chadwick. This does not appear to be somewhere to keep a damsel in distress against her will. Unless further exploration is unfruitful, I propose we run away from this as well.”
Chadwick, help me here - Tyr is alright with breaking into the warehouse to steal the goods, spending an evening eyeing wenches with the casino boss, and telling lies about our reason to enter the fight club - but spending a few moments to check around some glowing plants is the part that is too much? Come on. I thought you claimed to be a chivalrous knight
And Hoid, this may be the one place on Bral that holds this sacred multipurpose assault weapon you pray for daily. But if we walk away how will we ever know?
Starker: “Our fey Friend Ajax can scout for us over the bridge as Cyrus did, albeit somewhat unsuccessfully, in the quaggoth maze. Let’s see if we can convert the Lady’s misfortune into platinum which I, in turn, can trade for more spells in my book. Or let’s go back up the spiral stairs and leave her to her fate. What I don’t want to do is risk another unprofitable encounter with these incredibly puissant, uncomfortably nearby, quaggoths.”
Chadwick rounds the corner and notices how the caves connect. Stops, does a heavy sigh, then heads back to the group.
“So either the ROUS are some kind of guard dogs, or the path lays through the watery cavern. I'll try the globe again. Hopefully we'll gain some insight into the path. Perhaps Ajax and or Cryus want do some scouting?”
When he gets to Trolkarl he stops and takes off his helmet.
"I never said I wouldn't explore the fey looking cavern, just wasn't my first choice to jump back into possibly more fey lunacy when there were other routes to investigate.”
He pauses a beat looking at him with worry in his eyes.
“Is it the pressure of the investgation getting to you? Is that why you choose to attack party members with baseless and frankly hurtful accusations rather than working towards the common goal?”
He shakes his head like a disappointed parent while sitting down and pulling out the globe.
“We'll get you a hot meal and some mulled wine when we get back up top. That and a good night's sleep and you'll be right as rain.”
Then concentrating on the globe and keeping an image of Lady Stormrider in his mind he says out loud.
”I will not leave this place until we have secured the Lady Stormrider or found she has perished. I must atone for my previous transgressions of B&E at the warehouse! If that means I die alone here on this god forsaken rock in another realm, I am prepared to do so.”
Kragen looks to the group, if none want to cross the bridge, he turns and does so.
Great, I will eat the soup. Please just either check with the fish or let’s get moving across the bridge with scouts or without.
Recall in the Fey realm we defeated a coven of hags and a dragon simultaneously. It was maybe a little strange but we did a lot of good there. Think of those grown men we saved.
Chadwick communes with the fish in the bowl. It swims about the globe and stops to look at him. Then, goes back to swimming about the globe.
The water appears to be a slowly flowing river from east to west on the map. It is very clear. You see that it quickly becomes deep with a rocky bottom.
Ajax flies about the cavern and reports that the island is covered in plants from home. There is a toadstool circle on the other side of the island. The river tunnel is very low to the east and about 10’ high to the west.
The bridge looks solid. It is ancient, like the spiral stairs. Kragen notes the workmanship is excellent. There is writing etched into the top of the stone railings. You recognize it as Sylvan.
out of the corners of their eyes, Starker and Kragen notice quick flashes and shadows moving around the rocks on the bottom of the river. Like a school of fish it seems.
Gneuman and Starker walk across the bridge to the island. The plants are just like what you saw in many places of the Feywild when you were there. Many have ripe fruits and berries hanging heavily from their stems. An air of peacefulness is here. An idyllic garden deep within the Rock of Bral.
Toadstool circles are a big variable in the Fey realm. They can function as portals as you are wondering. They can also be the home of certain fey, mark the location of magical power, or, just be a random collection of fungi.
Starker: “If you don’t mind waiting as long as 20 minutes, I will perform rituals to detect and, if detected, identify any magic nearby. Don’t hesitate to interrupt if the delay becomes inconvenient.”
Starker starts the choreographed sequence of gestures, incantations, and emotional states that invoke these ritual effects. As he needs various components Cyrus hands them to him, more solemnly than he often behaves.
Starker first focuses his attention on the mushroom circle.
Starker: “The entire island is awash with magic. I sense that the presence of Transmutation, Conjuration, and Enchantment schools of magic suffuse the island. I am not able to discern any distinct difference with the toadstool circle compared to the rest of the island.
“The spell I have heard tell of but can not, myself, yet cast that can move us to other planes tend to be Conjuration spells such as Gate and Plane Shift.
”Let us investigate this island, in particular looking for footprints like those that led us to the hidden door or perhaps something the Lady might have dropped.”

Moving west from the stairwell you see the tunnel seems to connect to those with the quaggoths.
Trolkarl shakes his head.

To the he group, with a stern visage on his face.

If it must be in the form of a question, how about, “Is the path to Lady Stormrider across the bridge before us?”
To adhere to proper Jeopardy rules Chadwick rephrases as:
"What path should we take to find Lady Arin Stormrider?"
Chadwick communes with the fish in the bowl. It swims about the globe and stops to look at him. Then, goes back to swimming about the globe.

Gneuman will walk across across the bridge.
Starker follows with Cyrus on his shoulder.

Trolkarl will follow the others.
Starker does that circle of toadstool's look anything like a gateway to another realm?
Helping w Arcana check if needed
Toadstool circles are a big variable in the Fey realm. They can function as portals as you are wondering. They can also be the home of certain fey, mark the location of magical power, or, just be a random collection of fungi.
If there is no response from the question Chadwick will follow the others. He stops short of the bridge though.
