(( You left out one unarmed strike in the initial set of attacks, to hit = 10. A miss. ))
Gneuman springs into action with his spear whirling about as well as feet, fists and elbows. He lands three blows for a total of 19 damage. The demon hardly reacts to the gnome's attacks. It only has eyes for Trolkarl and Darkbane at this point....
Chadwick's nifty glaive-work puts an end to the demon. It shrieks in pain as the glaive pierces its heart and it dissolves into a pool of hissing ichor on the floor. Its foul stench permeates the room now. Chadwick then turns to give chase to Alamnal and faceplants into the Wall of Force spanning the opening of the tunnel. He makes a DC8 DEX save = 8 and barely keeps on his feet as he recoils from the impact with the Wall of Force.
Starker quickly enters the room and dons his thick leather gloves. He uses is fine instruments to collect ichor and sludgy bits from the remains of the demon and place them into a jar from his pack. A weird grin is on his face as he does so. Cyrus hops upon his back as he is on all fours collecting the ichor and does a pirouette and dance there while Starker works.
Gaius slowly enters the chamber, "Trolkarl, I am guessing this is something you did not know about?"
(( For the record, I wrote and posted this while Steve made the above post. Saw that post after posting this. ))
I was not aware of the secret door in the pantry or anything of this tunnel. This is very all unknown and very strange
When we were on the roof Alamnal said something about making me his slave somewhere. Indarkannen? Was that some place in the abyss or somewhere in the underdark?
If there is anything of value on the demon corpse, Hoid will entrust Starker and his superior perceptive abilities to find it. Hoid will look for loot on the orc corpses and the mimic remains.
Continues to wipe the foul demon blood off Darkbane and accepts the coins while scanning the room. Reflecting on the situation and the danger
We need to move - either we pursue Alamnal now or we fall back. But standing and counting our coins here serves no purpose
Alamnal is either regrouping, setting more traps, or bleeding out down that tunnel. He has survived for centuries through cunning and deceit- I dont believe for a moment that we have seen the last of his tricks.
Glances at Garrent in the other room
One of us is poisoned, and without an anitdote, falling back to regroup is no shame. We know pressing forward is a large risk - Alamnal is hurt, but I expect more than just a elf waiting to meet his fate down that hall.
I'll accept where our company decides, but let us decide quickly. Lingering here only plays into the drows hands.
To the group, “We should explore that tunnel to understand where it leads. The construction of this lodge makes me think it could lead to the under dark, but it may well be an exit. Either way, before we leave, I would feel better knowing where it leads.
As for Alamnal, I doubt we can catch him with his head start. He is likely done with House Ravenshield in view of what Garrent has witnessed. We can deal with him personally another day. Garrent, do you have information you need to make your report?
If so, I propose we check the tunnel only so far as to determine where it leads. If it does not become obvious based upon where the tunnel leads, I think we should spend more time here trying to understand why Alamnal was interested in this lodge.”
Garrent feels much better after Chadwick's attention. "Thank you, Knight Chadwick. That helps a great deal," he gets out. "I apologize for my weakness in there," he adds. "I have never faced an actual demon before," he seems thoughtful, "they are awful."
Garrent looks to Hoid upon being questioned, "Yes, Hoid. I believe my mission now requires me to return to the Duke to report what I have seen here. There is much to report," he says looking to Trolkarl and Gaius. "The Duke will have a weighty decision to make here."
Observing Alamnal's actions while dodging swipes from the putrid demon.
Alamnal, you run off like a mouse with stolen scraps!
Sidesteping another swipe from the beast as his eyes are pulled back from Alamanl to the demon.
Whatever book he is hauling away - it is very important to him.
Gneuman CON save = 21, he resists the stench of the demon.
Gneuman to act.
Gneuman leaps into the fray, thrusting his spear at the demon.
"Abomination! Back to the shadow with you, filth!"
First spear thrust: 15 to hit (?). 7 damage.
Second spear attack: 20 to hit, 5 damage.
Gneuman will spend a Ki point for Flurry of blows:
Unarmed throat punch to hit: 18, damage = 6
Kick to the shin: to hit 26, damage 8
(( You left out one unarmed strike in the initial set of attacks, to hit = 10. A miss. ))
Gneuman springs into action with his spear whirling about as well as feet, fists and elbows. He lands three blows for a total of 19 damage. The demon hardly reacts to the gnome's attacks. It only has eyes for Trolkarl and Darkbane at this point....
Chadwick to act.
"You don't belong in this plane demon!"
Attack 1: 18 to hit, 19 damage.
Attack 2: 24 to hit, 18 damage.
Bonus action attack: 18 to hit, 9 damage.
If it dies Chadwick will pursue Almanal down the tunnel.
(Please let the demon die so we can enjoy the comedy gold of Chadwick bouncing off of the wall of force.)

Chadwick will look the tunnel Alaman scurried down and see if he can get eyes on him.
"You call that a demon?! I didn't even break a sweat!"
Kragen, leaving his Spirit Guardians stil active, begins to check on the wounded and tend wounds.
Working to assess who is in the worst condition
Garrent, Hoid, Gnueman, Chadwick, Trolkarl
Were both chests mimics?
Yes
Garrent moves out of the cavern through the secret door to get clear of the demon’s abyssal stench. He remains Poisoned.
