And, arguably the most dangerous item, a ruinstone
Admittedly, none of the items are entirely useless... but they are all most likely far more trouble than they're worth, and getting rid of them will be in everyone's best interests. Akkron also explains that the Luck Blade will still have its other magical properties after the wishes have been used. If someone wants to keep it then it will still be quite useful.
Jodie seems pleased with the idea of getting to hold onto the luck blade. "I've yet to try my luck, if you know what I mean. A little luck may go further than those wishes..."Jodie winks at Lord Akkron, but she realizes how difficult it is to read the facial expression of a lich.
"Aren't these not potentially powerful items for our enemies? I don't suppose you have anything that is just as powerful, but not be used against us?"
They certainly would be dangerous in the enemy's hands, he acknowledges. But nearly any item that has the power to hold a piece of the mad dragon lord's soul would be. At least these items are not useful to us, and sealing them away will not be a great loss to the world.

Korba says, "I guess that each of us who bears a shard of Sserrah's soul should carry one of these items? That way, the enemy isn't able to acquire all three items at once, and we'll have them at hand when we are ready to use the sword's wishes." He volunteers to take the Talisman of Ultimate Evil, carefully wrapped in cloth so that he does not have to touch it. "I will not be tempted to use it, so I can just keep it packed away until it's time to transfer the curse."
Hewelathanwill take the Horn of Beckoning Death if Jodieis OK with carrying the ruinstone. Given his dislike of the undead, it seems appropriate. He says, "I'll take the horn. It would make me glad to know that I am keeping this artifact out of the hands of whatever cult or necromancer is insane enough to use it."
"Assuming that we successfully transfer the curses to these new items," Hewelathan asks, "do we just bring them back to you, or.....?" His voice trails off in the question. It's still unclear to him how Lord Akkron plans to "scatter" these evil objects once the soul fragments are transferred. Presumably, they should separate the items as soon as possible. Maybe Lord Akkron planned to have the party hide one while he and his apprentice hide the other two?
[[OOC: I assumed that Lord Akkron explained what these items do. It looks like the horn can (after 10 minutes) affect 1 sq mile! Yikes! If used in a city, that would be a lot of zombies!
@drumdigby - Did Lord Akkron clarify whether we just need to have Perdita pop us into the Border Ethereal for a few minutes, or do we have to travel into the Deep Ethereal before casting our wishes? If it's the former, we could maybe just do that now and transfer the curses. If it's the latter, I'm sure that the party will be asking Lord Akkron and Tamphalic many questions about travel through the Ethereal plane.]]
(We could use the Horn in a dessolate area such that it at least is unusable for a year?)

Once the group has their plan in place, Nickeline would request eleven minutes to cast Augury as a ritual, asking specifically about the Ruinstone because Lord Akkron said it was the most dangerous.

If you don't have a way into the Deep Etherial, Lord Akkron has ways to get you where you need to go. As for the horn, you might be able to use it on the Shaded Isle as most of the island is a desolate wasteland which is already infested with powerful undead. The biggest problem is, of course, the settlement on the shore if you aren't far enough away from it.
Speaking of the settlement, as you look out over the horizon, you can see dozens of ships approaching the harbor. They look like war ships. Hopefully these are allies and Firion doesn't have a navy...

What is your question regarding the Ruinstone? If you want to know what it does, Lord Akkron would tell you. The stone can be used to rewrite fate, but at the cost of literally erasing a nearby being at random from existence, beyond salvation by anything short of a wish spell.

What Nickeline wants to know is whether something bad and unexpected will happen during one of the the Wished-for soul transfers. She chose to ask about the Ruinstone because Augury is supposed to be about a specific course of action, and was worried asking about three wishes might be too general.

I think Augery only works for a task that's going to be performed in the next 30 minutes. I'm not sure if anyone wanted to do anything before getting zapped to the Ethereal Plane, or if you wanted to stop and find out what's going on with the approaching ships.

Korba says, "Yes. Thank you, Lord Akkron for all of your help. It sounds like we'll need some assistance to travel to the Deep Ethereal. And -- if there isn't a way to bring us back -- we could use some advice on how to navigate through across the Deep Ethereal back to the Border Ethereal surrounding our world so that Hildegard and Perdita shift us back to the real world."
Speaking of the settlement, as you look out over the horizon, you can see dozens of ships approaching the harbor. They look like war ships. Hopefully these are allies and Firion doesn't have a navy...
While the group tries to work out how to travel to the Ethereal plane, and Hewelathan considers Tamphalic's suggestion to use the Horn so that their enemies cannot, he peers into the distance and sees the sails of the fleet of ships. He asks, "Excuse me. Lord Akkron, did you contact an ally while we were looking for the sword? Were you expecting a fleet of ships?" From his years at sea, he senses that the ships are moving too slowly and have a draft too deep to be common merchant vessels. He points out to sea beyond the settlement and with increasing anxiety says, "It looks like a whole armada of warships! And they're headed straight for the harbor!"

"We better get there quickly to see what is going on." Tamphalic suggests "Let's leave the new item here, for now."
Hewelathan isn't so sure. He asks Tamphalic, "What are we going to do against a whole armada?" If the warships are loyal to Firion's dragon cult, this open attack on the Shaded Isle is a huge escalation and show of force. They're no longer trying to snatch the cursed items while the party is isolated and away from help. They're confident enough to launch an attack on Lord Akkron's home.
Hewelathan tears his gaze from the window and the sight of the approaching ships and turns to Lord Akkron. "Do you want us to stay?", he asks. "We could help defend the town. Or perhaps move the people to safety? Or should we leave for the Deep Ethereal now, before they get here, to ensure that the soul shards don't fall into Firion's hands?"
Jodie plucks a string on her lute and twirls her hair between her finger, "If I start now, I can unleash a blizzard upon the fleet. It may buy us some time."
Lord Akkron chuckles as everyone starts panicking about the approaching armada.
I doubt that is an enemy force... the lich says. Those should be Baron Ryder's men coming to aid us in the coming battle. I strongly suspect that the first thing we will see when the Cult of the Dragon finally decides they are tired of me will be dragons on the horizon... And for that reason, the Baron's forces are going to be setting up as many ballistae as humanly possible to shoot them out of the air as they approach, while the archers and foot soldiers deal with any cultists who make it to my shores.
He pauses.
If you wish to go now, I can arrange it. On the Ethereal Plane there is a great city, known as the Radiant Citadel, a hub where beings from numerous planes mingle freely. From there, I would recommend going further into the more untamed regions outside of the Citadel before performing the task at hand. It shouldn't be difficult to find an opportunist who will be willing to give you a tour for the right price.

The three items of note that he managed to scrounge up are:
A talisman of ultimate evil (interestingly, he actually takes care not to touch it directly)
A horn of beckoning death
And, arguably the most dangerous item, a ruinstone
Admittedly, none of the items are entirely useless... but they are all most likely far more trouble than they're worth, and getting rid of them will be in everyone's best interests.
