Hildegard...she strikes at the mummy that attacked Perdita.
(OOC: Note that Urgad already finished off the mummy that attacked Perdita. Hildegard has no enemies within melee range at the moment. If she doesn't have a ranged action, I guess she could ready an attack for when Hildegard carries her within range of an opponent.)
Talice gets her turn now... and the first thing she does is cast dispel magic on the web. She has a multi-attack feature that allows her to replace one of her two attacks with a use of spellcasting.
The undead abomination, now free from Temphalic's web, approaches Hew-bear. She proceeds to punch him with a Rotting Fist.
Hewelathan-bear is not thrilled to be facing both drow mummy 2 and Talice, but Talice's attack fails to connect. It seems like her rotting fist is about to hit him, but it seems to run into a hard surface instead that shimmers briefly like cool moonlight dancing on the surface of a river.
Looks like Peridita is up, followed by the two Orc Brutes.
Real talk, you folks have been INCREDIBLY lucky this fight... let's see if you guys can fry Talice by the end of the round or if she'll survive long enough to mess everyone up now that she's in close-quarters...

(I missed that! Hildegard will ready an attack instead.)
Perdita snorts and charges, headed straight for Talice. She rears up, lashing out with her flaming hooves at the Betrayer. Hildegard, Josie's rapier held at the ready, strikes out at her as well, with advantage from horseback.
Perdita to hit: 19 Damage: 15 bludgeoning + 7 fire
The orc who is farthest west moves around Hewelathan, keeping the bear between him and Talice, so that he can attack mummy #2. The other orc moves forward to stand between Korba and Urgad, ready to strike the other mummy if it dares to come close.
Movement: Move up to 60 ft (including bonus action) toward chosen target. Bonus Action: Use Aggressive feature to move up to an additional 60 ft. Action: > Orc Brute #1, reckless attack mummy #2, Greataxe: 18, Damage: 13 (slashing) Orc Brute #2, ready a regular attack on the first opponent who comes within his reach, Greataxe: 23, Damage: 7 (slashing)
(OOC: I still rolled orc #2's attack with advantage since I expect that his opponent will be under the effect of Faerie Fire.)
(OOC: Hildegard has d6 Bardic Inspiration, so this miss could hit. Might be worth it if you can smite or perhaps you might like to keep the bonus for a saving throw)
(OOC: Hildegard has d6 Bardic Inspiration, so this miss could hit. Might be worth it if you can smite or perhaps you might like to keep the bonus for a saving throw)
If that Bardic Inspiration die is used, that attack WILL hit.
Edit: never mind, I just saw that she was targeting Talice rather than one of the lesser minions. Yeah, it's possible the Bardic Inspiration could turn the miss into a hit, but it isn't guaranteed.
(OOC: @ConstancePhokas - But are you good with using the bardic inspiration that Jodie gave Hildegard this round to ensure that Hildegard hits? You just need to roll the 1d6 and add it to Hildegard's existing 13 attack roll.
With Perdita's fire damage, it's possible that Hildegard's attack would already be enough to finish off Talice!)
(Oops, I missed your message. I'll do that then, and add the new totals..)
Hildegard remembers Jodie's words, and feels filled with Divine purpose. She utters a prayer as her sword strikes ever more true, radiant light suffusing her strike.
Bardic Inspiration: 6 (new total of 19 to hit) Divine Smite: 11 radiant damage
Perhaps it is fitting for things to end this way... divine power flashes as Hildegarde strikes the mummy lord. Talice looks shocked for a moment, then she smiles.
Perhaps I underestimated you... I will not make the same mistake a second time, she says.
Divine radiance and infernal flames work in tandem... her body is consumed and cracks apart. Her wicked smile remains for a moment, until nothing is left but a pile of ash... Our heroes stand victorious again, demonstrating just how terrifying they (or at least their hardware) really are when they get to go all-out.
Everyone receives 1,260 XP!!

Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
(OOC: There were 1 or 2 remaining drow mummies. Do they also crumble with Talice? Or, you're just assuming that Korba and Tamphalic finish them off before they can act?)

They crumbled with Talice. They only had a couple HP left anyway after getting hit by the two orc brutes.

"That was ominous," growls Hewelathan-bear in a deep, gravelly voice. While he is still concentrating on Flaming Sphere, he directs the ball of fire to roll to Talice's ashes just to make sure that she stays dead for at least a minute while they search this chamber of the crypt.
Hewelathan-bear reminds Jodie and Ruby, "Don't forget that -- in addition to the sword we came for -- we also need to find some books or scrolls or other interesting treasures to bring back to the dragon, Cynurrarth...unless you want to spend a long time as a 'caged bard' for the dragon." The big bear's belly shakes as he chuckle's at his own pun.
Hewelathan-bear paces the perimeter of the chamber, keeping an eye (and nose!) on the tunnels leading out of it and alert for any danger. Perception: 22 (or with advantage from Keen Smell if the check relies on that sense: Perception22)
Nickeline breathes a sigh of relief as Hildegard cuts Talice down. "Is everyone all right?" she asks, looking around.
Knowing that there is no time to waste, Nickeline casts a spell to locate the nearest wish-granting sword, sharing whatever result is returned, if any, before joining the search.
Jodie, still surging with heroic spirit dances about "Woot woot! That's what I'm talking about! That rapier sure did 'stick' it to her, eh? Who's left..who wants more..."
Jodie calms down a bit, realizing her response to bolster herself may have been unnecessary, Better safe than paralyzed with fear, I always say.
Jodie considers what she knows (21) about mummies. "I think the mummy's heart is key to their return. We are looking for luck blade, but if Nickeline could also locate Talice's heart...we'll at least know where she may return. And if you could locate it, perhaps destroy her altogether."
Sorry, made some assumptions with the 21 religion check, but figured 20+ might know about mummy lord hearts...
Between Temphalic and Nickeline, it isn't hard to find either a the blade or a set of canopic jars... looking into them, you can see various bits of shriveled viscera. The heart, however, isn't in any of them. Instead, Nickelone can sense that it is inside a strange box... an infernal puzzle box. Lord Akkron might be able to open it and put an end to the Betrayor once and for all, but you can guess with near-certainty that opening the box is beyond your abilities.

On a hit, Hewelathan, make a DC 15 Con save against Mummy Rot. Also, make another Con save to maintain concentration on that Flaming Sphere.
