Hot on the rogue's heels, he realizes he's not going to get away and turns, with a dagger in hand, to face Dathyra. You've come into a large room, roughly the same size and just off the tavern. An unfinished hallway lies behind him. He snarls at both of you when Sly comes up a moment later, "It's just a few coins! Leave me be." His eyes dart around to the larger holes in the outside wall. Both of you stand between him and any visible escape route.
Inside The Tapped Keg Hugo yells to a boy that was down behind the bar to go fetch the guard. Two men that were near the commotion gather near the door to watch what unfolds from a distance. The two elves move to leave the tavern, a look of disgust on their faces.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Jodon goes to the man who attempted to stop the fleeing rogue, to thank him for his efforts and make sure that he is ok. Seeing that Holg has not yet risen, Jodon uses Message to say silently to him "Apologies for the intrusion into your mind, but I am following them outside. Should they need help I cannot provide, I will tell you this way. Whenever I talk this way, you can respond briefly, and I will hear it."
Perception 11 / Investigation 16 should you feel either roll is necessary to determine where they went.
Somehow, she had not only caught up, but passed Sly in the chase. When the rouge turned and pulled his dagger, she halted, throwing her hands up defensively. Dathyra still didn't want this to end in a fight. She had the means to defend herself if need be, but she was hoping not to use them.
"It's just a few coins! Leave me be," he snarled. Dathyra could tell he looked desperate as his eyes darted, looking for a way out.
"But was it fair to the man you stole from?" she asked. "I know there are reasons to come to the conclusion that stealing is the only option, but it isn't. Let me help, and we can end this peacefully. I don't want to see anyone hurt."

"I am more upset that you threw a chair at the lovely lady really shouldn't throw things." Sly Said he knew about stealing money for a living and understood why someone would need to he looked at Dathyra then back at the man. "Now if you apologies to the nice elf and we'll let you be on your way." He didn't want anyone to get hurt or to cause a problem. "Look we should all just calm down."
Shouts from the street paired with the two of you confronting the man are too much for his resolve. He scowls at the two of you and spits out a simple apology followed by, "If you had just let me leave it wouldn't have been an issue." He tosses the pouch to Dathyra and backs over to one of the open holes in the wall. Before slipping out of the window he places the thumb on his chest and index finger from the same hand to his lips almost like a weird 'be quiet' symbol. He does this while eyeing Sly.
Jodon: You saw the whole exchange from just inside the room. They seemed to handle it well and it never came to blows, although the rogue was clearly not pleased with the outcome.
The commotion past, Jodon wanders up to the other two and asks of his two companions, "What was that all about? You quite startled me -- what made you rush after that man in the first place?"
Dathyra sighed. Chances were, he would probably wander off somewhere else with fewer witnesses to go pickpocketing. But, she couldn't concern herself with endless what-if's right now. She picked up the pouch and turned to head back to return it. She hoped that the man at the bar hadn't left without noticing his missing pouch.
"Thank you," she said to Sly. True, she still didn't know what to make of him, but he seemed like a helpful sort. She was about to ask him about the man's odd gesture. It seemed like some kind of a sign, but she refrained. He was polite but secretive, and she wouldn't press the issue. After all, she knew what it was like to keep secrets of her own.
She found Jodon just outside, waiting for them, spouting several questions.
"I had happened to notice that man..." She indicated the rogue. "Taking this coin pouch from one of the patrons at the bar. I had hoped to prevent an unfortunate situation for all parties involved, but it kind of got out of hand. I shall return this to its rightful owner, and then I promise, I'm all ears for our plans. No more distractions."

Jodon laughs. "My friend, doing the right thing can never be a distraction. It is what we are too often distracted from!" He frowns, ever so slightly. "Like I was by the arrival of a simple mug. You have my apologies, and my respect. Clearly, I can learn from your example. Both of your examples." Jodon nods to include Sly, and finishes with a bow.
The tiefling looked over at Dathyra. "Look I know what other's think of me and honestly I do not care I know what I am." He looked at both of them with a serious look in his golden eyes. "There is more to this place than our friend has let us know and we should be more careful.... You don't want to come into the wrong people who won't be nice enough to just give the stuff back and leave." Sly sat down at the table again taking his mug that he left and pulled his hood down more trying to think of what gang or thieves guild and which it could be and why he was looking at him like that.
As the three of you come back into the tavern proper, you have the attention of most of the patrons and the barkeep. Hugo asks across the room, "Everything alright? What happened there?" The rest of the tavern settles down after seeing the excitement has past. As Dathyra approaches the man at the bar about his money, he is shocked that it is even missing and he graciously thanks you and hands you a silver piece from inside. Hugo sends another round to the table on the house.
Dathyra returned to the table, rejoining the rest of the group. "It was just a smalltime thief who didn't think anyone was watching," she answered. "I thought he might try to run, but I didn't expect him to trap himself like that." She took a small sip of her drink. It was certainly stronger than she had expected, ale not being a common staple back at the temple. "Anyway, yes, I agree that seeking this Kristoff's residence might be our best course of action, provided there isn't anyone there to stop us, like the guard at Arlen's."

There has been mention of going to the winery and also Kristoff's manor. Which direction are you guys headed? The winery is down by the docks. The manor is in the Blacklake district.
Holg waits till everyone returns to the table. "Well that certainly got the blood flowing!" He chuckles at his own sarcasm. "Hugo told me there was a building down by the docks that Kristoff uses for the winery. That may be a place to consider next if we can't gather anything from visiting his house first." Holg gulps the last of his drink and slams the mug on the table. "I'm ready when you all are."
